A week ago Johnny Rockets mistakenly served us regular gluten buns, not thinking of the miscoloring, I ate it. I had EXTREME gas pain, bowel movements and blood the night after and have been suffering through tons of blood when having a bowel movement ever since. Tonight though.. I had the weirdest looking poop like seperated in weird ways and I don’t know if it should be a concern? I’m sorry for any graphic images but I need to know asap!

Red blood in stool is a sign of a issue in the colon/large intestine. Upper GI bleeding would leave a tarish stool.  A gluten/celiac flare could have irritated other issues in your large intestines like hemorrhoids, diverticulitis, or if JUST LIKE ME Ulcerative Colitis will have me blowing blood like that. UC common flares to gluten and everyone is a bit different but can also flare to soy, dairy, and in rare cases fructose and glucose.

For now go easy with softer bland meals, try taking something like Nature way Slipper Elm and Marshmallow root and drinking a bit of a aloe vera juice to soothe and coat the intestines.

You should speak to your doctor about it, if this keeps up for another week OR if you start having like 1/4cup or dark blobs of blood I would really see about taking to a GI about getting a scope and checking the damage. OH if you drop like 1/2 cup + of blood...go to the ER

Correct. I’m doing both in the same go though. Thanks for clarifying before I confused someone. I’m doing a colonoscopy for something else and then they added the endoscopy after the test.

It is a biopsy but it's not a colonoscopy, it's an endoscopy.

Well I’m going on the gluten farewell tour so they are about to find out lol. I keep saying biopsy but yeah it’s a scope and stuff. I’m a dummy but luckily my doctor is not.

The biopsy for celiac disease is done of the small bowel lining and in conjunction with an "upper GI" scoping called an endoscopy. A colonoscopy scopes the lower end of the intestines and can't reach up high enough to get to the small bowel. The endoscopy goes through the mouth, through the stomach and into the duodenum, which is at the upper end of the intestinal track. So, while they are scoping the duodenum, they take biopsies of the mucosal lining of that area to send off for microscopic analysis by a lab. If the damage to the mucosa is substantial, the doc doing the scoping can often see it during the scoping.
