!!! HEART ATTACK !!!  Hyper-Homo-Cysteine, Vitamin B Deficiency

 Hello,

I am Dwayne (celiac since 1957) 61 years old.

There is a very serious condition in some celiacs with B vitamins deficiencies.

It is called Hyper-Homo-Cysteine a amino acid associated with B vitamins deficiencies which is the most common deficiency  in celiac disease.

This Homo-Cysteine can cause a heart vasospasm which is a heart vessel spasm.

Example: A 30% heart blockage (not fatal) becomes a 100% blockage which is fatal If the blockage is not cleared before death occurs, where the vasospasm relaxes back to the 30% heart blockage level, potentially hiding the cause of death.

In my case there was a 100% heart blockage and a last minute save with four emergency heart stents.

Hyper-Homo-Cysteine caused heart vessel vasospasm caused by B vitamins  deficiencies, in which a good vitamin B complex could prevent high levels of homo-cysteine and prevent a fatal (almost no warning ) vasospasm heart attack !!!

I have attempted to be as accurate as possible because this is absolutely important to every celiac and non celiac gluten sensitive person and cardiologist.

Very glad you survived. My father did not. He must have been celiac because i did not get the gene from my mother. I am 50 and when diagnosed saw a cardiologist. I had mild arterial sclerosis. After changing my diet i have no signs of it on sonogram. Thanks for putting the information on the sight. The fact that uncontrolled celiac does mutisystemic damage does not seem to get much press.

Dwayne,

You might  have a MTHFR gene mutation that can lead to abnormally high homocyteine levels.

Here is an article about it.

Also see this journal of Circulation article about it.

Open Original Shared Link

the journal of circulation says

"For MTHFR, as with homocysteine testing, no official guidelines exist as to who should be tested."

so they might not of thought to test you for it.

but with elevated homecycteine levels you should be checked to rule out this condition.

******this is not medical advice but I hope it is helpful.

2 Tim 2:7 “Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things” this included.

Posterboy by the grace of God,

Hi James47, You are less than 2 years into your recovery from Celiacs.  Tell us more about the problems you are having. Do you just want to get rid of belly fat or are you still having symptoms like gas and bloating.    For symptoms you may need to change your diet and take various supplements that you cannot adsorb from the foods you eat because of the damage caused by the autoimmune reaction in your small intestine.

@DayaInTheSun what were the shortness of breath symptoms for you ? And did they come on all of a sudden or was it a gradual increase in said symptoms?

I had shortness of breath so much so I went to a lung doctor. I told him I get short of breath wirh certain foods, he said “Food doesn’t affect hour breathing.” I told him maybe it was an allergy  he cut me off then said “Food allergies don’t cause shortness of breathe.” I beg to differ as soon as I figured out what foods were causing my shortness of breath it went away. I also never saw him again as he was rude, condescending? And refuse to listen to me kept dismissing my problems as “you’re young.” I cut out Soy, dairy, sesame, eggs, and of course gluten. I stopped being short of breath, going on a two years now. No thanks to the doctor I saw. Figured it out on my own.

I would suggest you ask your doctor to order a "total IGA" test to check for IGA deficiency.
