Celiac disease and anal bleeding

So I was wondering, is anal bleeding something that happens with celiac disease? From what I’ve read, celiac disease doesn’t directly cause it, but if your gut is inflamed it can happen. I’m currently waiting to get my colonoscopy. (Scheduled for a month from now) but every couple of months I would notice some dark blood streak on the toilet paper (not very much). But since going gluten free, I haven’t had this problem, so that’s why I’m wondering if it has something to do with celiacs.

Um you might be like me and have gotten Ulcerative Colitis or something similar. My UC flares to gluten like celiac and when it does I get bloody streaks, on stool sometimes blood globs, or mucus (I get the double whammy with gluten as a Celiac with UC). Everyone is a bit different with their flares mine also flared to the common issues of dairy and soy, but has no issues with chocolate or coffee that many do have. I unfortunately found my flares to sugars, fructose, glucose, and carbs that can be broken down into said sugars.

Your doctor can rule out UC with the colonsocopy.

Other thoughts it could be hemorrhoids, ulcers, etc. Red blood means it cam from near the end of you GI, dark, tarish, or coffee ground like blood means it would be further in the GI. The PH, undigested foods, or stressed system from gluten and celiac could have been flaring these. In addition with celiac we have nutrient absorption issues...some of these influence clotting like vitamin K and would make you more prone to this kind of thing.

I would say I wasn’t on a gluten free diet but I’m not sure if I was consuming enough gluten before I took the tests. How long should I be consciously including gluten in my diet before I take the test? Was the blood draw made while you were still consuming regular amounts of gluten and had been doing so for at least a period of months? Getting blood antibody tests after already having embarked on a gluten free diet or even limiting gluten consumption will invalidate testing.

In addition to regular lipid blood tests, I took some celiac tests last eeek and these are the results: 1. Celiac - Deamidated Gliadin IgG - 34.5 U/mL - Above range  2. Celiac - Deamidated Gliadin IgA - <1.0  - Normal 3. Celiac - Tissue Transglutaminase IgG - <1.0  - Normal 4. Celiac - Tissue Transglutaminase IgA - <1.0  - Normal 5. Immunoglobulin A IgA - 143 mg/dL - Normal What does the above results mean? What next steps can I take to diagnose if I have celiac or NCGS or something else?
