Update on Gaviscon

Interpreting results.
Were you eating lots of gluten daily for 6-8 weeks leading up to your blood test? If not, this can cause lower antibody levels, and possibly false negative results. It's unfortunate that they didn't do a Total IgA count, because if you have naturally low IgA it could lead to false negative test results. The good news is that you could get that test done... -

Hi! thanks for the quick feedback! I tested negative for DQ8, but did test positive for DQ2 and DQ7. I’m not sure if there’s any information regarding DQ7 and the risk for celiac. Welcome to the forum, @np1209! Your understanding of the gene testing results is correct. DQ2 and DQ8 are the primary genes associated with the potential to develop celiac disease.
