Gluten In Pod Filters

Hello everyone,

Has anyone had a problem with the coffee from the Pod coffee makers like Bunn. I have contacted a few companies and they insist they have no gluten (even the flavored coffee) but when asked how they get those pods to stick together they say by pressure. They say they do not use glue of any source. Anyone else have a problem with coffee in the pods? Thanks for the help

Using a wheat based glue as an adhesive for filter bags (be it tea or coffee) simply doesn't make any sense, because the wheat starch would dissolve in the water when it was brewed. It's something of a celiac urban legend that filterbags for beverages (tea, primarily) have gluten in them.

As the companies have told you, these are gluten-free. Really.

      The critic acid and sodium citrate is corn unfortunately and they don’t have to label corn because it’s not part of the top 9 allergen and not mandatory 😭

      Yaya, from the JAMA study you refer to: "Taking 60,000 international units (IU) a day of vitamin D for several months has been shown to cause toxicity." No one on this forum is recommending  taking anywhere near that amount. We're talking about 5-10,000IU daily.
