Can trauma bring on celiac ?

can major trauma bring on celiac and can headache , eye ache  be main symptom? 
I have had constant headache since a major surgery and traumatic recovery . sometimes blurry vision and feeling of weakness , I’m anemic even after iron tablets 

my liver enzymes are all quite high and my ferritin is low and not working properly . 
I have always had an urgency to go to no 2 but don’t really get stomach issues but tiredness or insomnia at present 

it’s been five months since surgery and next blood test is celiac one . Any thoughts ?

Certain viruses like rotavirus, as well as antibiotic use in youth, have been shown it studies to be a possible trigger for celiac disease. Many people have reported that pregnancy triggered it for them, but I’ve not seen studies on this (but studies show that women do have a higher chance of getting it than men). It would not surprise me it there are other triggers, including surgery.

      Hello, @jadeceoliacuk, Has your son been tested for nutritional deficiencies?  Celiac Disease causes malabsorption of essential nutrients which can result in nutritional deficiencies.  Supplementing with essential vitamins and minerals is beneficial.   I would find a nutritionist more knowledgeable about Celiac and ASD, before taking herbal supplements that don't contain essential vitamins.       There doesn't seem to be much information about the effects of Gluten Ataxia in this forum.  I was diagnosed with Celiacs Disease but never had typical gluten symptoms.  My symptoms were all ataxic.
