Kitchen Sink CC?

Hello

Is it possible to get cross contamination from the kitchen sink? My partner rarely eats gluten but sometimes washes dishes with gluten on them in the sink, but never with my dishes. I always do mine separate with a separate sponge/water/etc. The drying towel is shared though.

Ate something during the first week of January and I've been sick since. My bathroom hasn't been normal the entire time so I'm wondering if I'm being contaminated somehow.

Exhausted.

This is not likely at all from the kitchen sink. I suggest to either look for other areas where contamination could happen or your symptoms might not be related to contamination but something else.

I agree with @docaz , highly unlikely to get cross contamination from washing dishes in the same sink.

Keep in mind that no every reaction you have is from gluten. Many celiacs have issues with other foods that don't contain gluten or perhaps if it's gluten it is another source. Common problem foods for celiacs seem to be oats, corn and dairy.

My husband and I share a sink for washing dishes, although I use my own dish brush and dish towel.  No problems here.

Thanks everyone. I'm thinking I'm really sensitive to glutamate as well, and that my GABA/Glutamate balance is all over the place too.

My gut and brain just won't get along...

I am not taking anything except for the multivitamins that I purchased from the supermarket.

The critic acid and sodium citrate is corn unfortunately and they don’t have to label corn because it’s not part of the top 9 allergen and not mandatory 😭

Yaya, from the JAMA study you refer to: "Taking 60,000 international units (IU) a day of vitamin D for several months has been shown to cause toxicity." No one on this forum is recommending  taking anywhere near that amount. We're talking about 5-10,000IU daily.

"Doses higher than the RDA are sometimes used to treat medical problems such as vitamin D deficiency, but these are given only under the care of a doctor for a specified time frame. Blood levels should be monitored while someone is taking high doses of vitamin D." Quoted from the Healthline article @Yaya linked above...
