I was able to find the recipe for home made yogurt. My question is if I’m unable to tolerate regular yogurt and may be lactose intolerant may I still try this?

Unless you have an allergy to cow's milk you should be able to try this out for a short time to determine if you can tolerate it. It is gluten-free, so I assume you are maintaining a gluten-free diet but also have an issue with cow's milk. It wasn't clear from your post exactly what your concerns and issues are.

If you are reacting to plain yogurt purchased in the store, then you will probably react to plain yogurt you make at home.

I was undiagnosed for quite a few years. I now have neuropathy in my hands and feet. Be watchful of something like this and definitely see a neurologist if having symptoms like numbness in your extremities.
