This is what I have been wondering -- that is, whether my modified diet once the kids left for college left me more sensitive to gluten.  I would guess that there were long stretches when I did not have any ..... like, I would have chicken / fish and veggie and/or salad for dinner.  Well, I will find out soon enough (not soon enough, actually).  Thanks you for the input.

      I have a couple of questions. What si the difference between NCGS and Celiac? I have had a rash that typical rash meds could not get rid of and recently realized gluten is likely as going gluten free has relieved the itchiness and the rash is starting to dissipate and is less, not gone, but maybe headed that way. The oldest parts of the rash that are gone left my skin a darker color. Are rashes associated with NCGS.  I’m fairly certain gluten is the culprit for this. Is the rash a distinguishable feature of celiac?

      Hi Celiac has been ruled out with a biopsy. I am so sensitive that I cannot eat most processed food. One bite sends me into three to five days of a disabling shoulder, neck, headache, stabbing & burning toes, ankles, knuckles, and wrists. I finally discovered that a whole food and gluten free approach has given much needed relief after years of agony. My nerves can finally repair  without the threat of inflaming over and over any more. The cognitive symptoms I have experienced are frightening to say the least. This is totally reproducible with food that has residual wheat on it much less actually eat wheat directly. They don't even know if this is caused by gluten. My reaction is innate only. I get barely any stomach problems, only hot snakes and acid reflux. I think this may be a direct cause of long term GMO sheet IDK. I can't touch it and am not celiac. I wish I had a forum.😞

      Did you look up your meds on the government website I shared? It should list all additives.

      You can search this site for prescriptions medications, but will need to know the manufacturer/maker if there is more than one, especially if you use a generic version of the medication: To see the ingredients you will need to click on the correct version of the medication and maker in the results, then scroll down to "Ingredients and Appearance" and click it, and then look at "Inactive Ingredients," as any gluten ingredients would likely appear there, rather than in the Active Ingredients area. https://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/
