Looking for Asian noodles, bread, panko and beer :)

Hi all

 

I'm new to attempting gluten low/free diet. I'll be getting tested soon. I can't tell if its just the latest development of me being allergic to most things or a gluten problem. I have had fairly bad corn allergy in the past and now hoping its not a wheat or gluten thing.

 

I have already converted almost all my ingredients in my kitchen to gluten free. Thankfully most stuff I have was already ok. BUT...

 

Any one have links for gluten free Asian noodles' ? I can only find rice noodle's. I did come across this article but not much luck at finding them. https://www.thekitchn.com/glutenfree-asian-noodles-121367

 

I have not look'd for bread and panko yet. It's not really at the top of my to do list. I mainly use it for fish patty's about 3-8 times a month.

 

I have try'd bud light, corona and many Mexican beer's(most gave me a head ache), and coolers light. I seen a few articals about these beer's and seem that coolers light was the lower ppm of gluten. BUT I'm thinking I might have to try a gluten free beer for a few week's. No head ache's, No head ache's (fingers crossed). And hopefully I'm not allergic to alcohol. I have in the past got headache's from wine. I could never get a buzz be for hangover on rad wine. I live in the woods/regal area and limited travel distance(local liquor store) Any suggestions ?

 

So basically all I have is internet for shopping.

I can not help with any of the products you asked about, but I urge you to get tested for celiac disease before going gluten free.  All celiac disease testing requires you to be on a full gluten diet.

I live in a regal area and have no transportation. I'll see if there's a at home test available.

I'm hoping I can do proses elimination to see if I'm allergic to wheat, gluten or alcoholic in general. I was thinking I could start off by testing diet with wheat free items. But I'm kind of what you would call a alcoholic and need to find some beer that is gluten free and wheat free. I guess I can find some non grain alcohol like vodka, gin and maybe sake rice wine. And as for the bread and panko ill just have to cut it out. I'll try the rice roman.

I have noticed that my throte gets sore with the first half of a beer(colliers light, bud light). And seems to last 3+ hr's after. Corona, pacifico and modelo gives me headachs before and during drunk(buzz).

I lately have ben having really bad allergies and starting to notice my sessional asthma seems to be redeveloping. The last time I had a inhaler was wen I was going throe puberty and only need'd it for a few seasons. So I can't tell if its the insanely bad air from all the fire's or what.

Any rice noodles are gluten free as well as 100% buckwheat soba noodles.

Also, Kikoman and Kinnikinnik make gluten free panko.

      Are you using the same mixer that you used for your gluten containing baking? That could be your culprit.

      I would ask for a total IGA test (aka, Immunoglobulin A (IgA) and other names as well) to check for IGA deficiency. That test should always be ordered along with the TTG IGA. If someone is IGA deficient, their individual celiac IGA test scores will be artificially low which can result in false negatives. Make sure you are eating generous amounts of gluten leading up to any testing or diagnostic procedure for celiac disease to ensure validity of the results. 10g of gluten daily for a period of at least 2 weeks is what current guidelines are recommending. That's the amount of gluten found in about 4-6 slices of wheat bread.

      There was not a total IGA test done, those were the only two ordered. I would say I was consuming a normal amount of gluten, I am not a huge bread or baked goods eater

      Were you consuming generous amounts of gluten in the weeks leading up to the blood draw for the antibody testing? And was there a Total IGA test done to test for IGA deficiency?

      Thank you for the reply. It was the TTG IGA that was within normal limits
