Natures Promise items

Hi there. I was wondering if anyone knows if all Natures Promise items are labeled if they are indeed gluten free? I have the “organic spicy brown deli mustard” and it doesn’t say gluten free on the bottle. I’ve noticed some of their products do say gluten free right on the packaging or bottle. So I haven’t dared tried this mustard yet. I’ve been looking online and don’t see anything about it being gluten free or not. I called the phone number on the bottle and she put me on hold and then came back and said she didn’t see any information at first, so she googled Hannafords (where my husband bought it) and saw that Hannafords listed it as free of wheat and gluten. I haven’t been able to find that in my google search. I thought I’d get some feedback from other people dealing with Celiac. Thanks for any info you have on this mustard, but also on the Natures Promise brand in general. I know with other brands, like Applegate, I only buy items that specifically say gluten free right on the package because not all of their stuff is gluten free. I’m assuming it’s the same with Natures Promise?

The ingredients listed are:

Ingredients

Organic Whole Mustard Seed, Organic Distilled White Vinegar, Filtered Water, Sea Salt.

so it looks to be naturally gluten-free. I suppose contamination at the manufacturing facility could be possible. If you are worried about that just go with a brand that has "gluten-free" on its label.

Thanks for your input. My husband bought me three bottles. Lol. But I’m dealing with some other health issues at the moment so not feeling too good about risking a possible issue. I might leave it for my family to use and hopefully get some other mustard. It’s confusing when a company states it on some of their products, but not all. I do use their ketchup but it says gluten-free right on the bottle. Thanks.

Thank you. I already cut out dairy and eggs because I found out I was having a problem with them. To be honest I’m just getting worn out 😂

Hi Kitty, thank you for your e mail,  I have seen a nutritionist who seemed to be happy with the food diary I had been keeping and nothing was mentioned about extra vitamins, and I’m still using milk etc . The steroids seem to be working and everything is functioning as it should however,  the course of tablets finish at the end of February and I have an appointment with the consultant early April probably followed by another endoscopy, as far as I’m aware I have not been tested for vitamin B and will definitely discuss it with the doctor on my next visit.

It might be understandable to say "friends or family weeded me or you out of their lives". Some people are fearful of getting out of their comfortable known lives and having to make changes to accommodate another.   If they are too uncomfortable to walk a mile with me, I shake the dust off my feet and journey on.  They're just not ready to learn that lesson.  But you confidently keep going on your journey.  They can catch up later.

You might also be sensitive to other things while you are healing. Dairy, for example. It won't harm you from a celiac standpoint but is inflammatory and could be bothering you. Have you been keeping a food & symptom journal? Might be worth it for a week to see if you notice something you are eating prior to the times you feel your worst. I hope you start feeling better soon.

Someone recently recommended Superfoods for looking up recipes free of allergens or intolerances.  It's a web site but there's also an app.
