Ears pressure…

Hi. Some update on me. I do feel better since started Lexapro,no issues with BM and less GI problems. I’m taking the lowest dose of Lexapro which is 5mg every night. I do have this weird feeling of pressure in my ears on and off. When I was diagnosed with celiac disease I had ringing in my ears because of anemia and low ferritin but now it’s different it’s more like pressure. I do follow gluten-free diet and overall feel better. Can’t understand if it’s Lexapro side effects or something else. It’s like deep In my both ears sometimes like mild pain. And what I also noticed my blood pressure dropped after gluten-free diet. It used to be 115-80 now it’s constantly 99/80.Did anyone else experience that with ear pressure and blood pressure?

thank you

Saba

My ear pressure was due to dairy products.  I had to give up dairy.

Did you develop that after diagnose or you had it before? I’ve been diagnosed 5 months ago and this is something new. U e started lexapro a month ago

hi, saba, i'm glad you're doing better!  i have ear pressure if the wind blows, lolz, if i am in the car, a change in elevation will make my ears go crazy.   also, change in barometric pressure (weather changes) and airplanes.  try chewing gum?  might help with pressure - that's what they tell you to do on the airplane.  i know double bubble is gluten-free for sure.  plus, i love bubble gum lolz

Hi Arlene, how are you ?:) it’s something new,I feel like pressure in my head and ears on and off. Maybe it’s because of the Lexapro. It’s been more than a month. You know it says that SSRI medication start to work after 4-6 weeks, maybe I’ve just started to develop side effects also feel fatigue

I love popcorn but it doesn't love me.  Right now my gut hurts and I am bloated and passing gas.  Am I just super sensitive. I thought popcorn was gluten free 🤔

Welcome to the forum, @marinke! "Type 1a diabetes (DM1) is associated with an increased risk of celiac disease (celiac disease) (1)." from: https://diabetesjournals.org/care/article/35/10/2083/38503/IgA-Anti-transglutaminase-Autoantibodies-at-Type-1 "The prevalence of celiac disease (celiac disease) in children with type 1 diabetes (T1D) is 5.1%, and it is often asymptomatic (1)." from: https://diabetesjournals.org/care/article/48/2/e13/157637/Diagnostic-Outcomes-of-Elevated-Transglutaminase So, this is 5x the rate found in the general population.

Hi James47, You are less than 2 years into your recovery from Celiacs.  Tell us more about the problems you are having. Do you just want to get rid of belly fat or are you still having symptoms like gas and bloating.    For symptoms you may need to change your diet and take various supplements that you cannot adsorb from the foods you eat because of the damage caused by the autoimmune reaction in your small intestine.

My daughter (4 years old) has type 1 diabetes since she was 1. Therefore, every year a screening is done. We live in the Netherlands. Every year the screening was fine. This year here ttg is positive, 14, >7 is positive. IGA was in range. Could the diabetes cause this positive result? Or the fact that she was sick the weeks before the brood test?

@DayaInTheSun what were the shortness of breath symptoms for you ? And did they come on all of a sudden or was it a gradual increase in said symptoms?
