Hi everyone. Hope you guys are ok. I know I’ve asked couple of times how long did it take for you to completely heal but it’s been 7 months since I’ve started my gluten-free diet I do still experiencing ups and downs, like back pain, achy body, weird feeling in ears, achy feet, blurred vision, also gained weight feeling hungry all the time. I was feeling pretty well 3 months after diet and I was thinking that’s it an I got healed but somehow symptoms started again, not as bad as before but still.. is it normal to feel like this after 7 months?? And also 4 months after diet my blood work got improved. I still take antidepressants. Anyhow, did it take more than a year for anyone to get completely better?

The average time to recovery is 2 years, but this can vary greatly from person to person, and depends on how much intestinal damage you had, weather or not you're taking vitamin & mineral supplements, are 100% gluten-free, etc. If you eat out at restaurant you're probably getting some trace amounts of gluten in your diet.

I don’t eat at restaurants at all. But it’s hard to live with gluten consuming family members. Do you think Marsh 3a score is advanced stage or mild stage?

Marsh 3a would be considered mild damage:

Are you taking vitamin D, B-Complex, and any other supplements? Low vitamin D levels as well as others can be associated with depression. One of our moderator @knitty kitty might be able to recommend more about this.

I’m taking supplements, but not every day. And I usually don’t take them all in one day. I do usually split them, for example Monday B complex,Tuesday iron supplement,Wednesday vitamin D. Not able to digest all of them in one day…

I'm sorry you're not feeling as much improved as you would like to be by now.  I do think that you would have better results if you took the B vitamins every day.

The B vitamins would help you with your symptoms, but they need to be taken consistently.  When we take them every day, the B vitamins will improve the body's functions and repair the nerves that are causing problems like the burning feet, blurry vision and weird ear sensations.

As a healing Celiac, we need to supply our bodies with the essential B vitamins it needs to function every day and for healing.  Since our stores get depleted so rapidly when we've been ill, we need to take the B Complex to replenish those stores.

Do try not to get your gluten free foods contaminated with regular gluteny foods others in your household may consume.

Hope you feel better soon!

I doubt very much that it contains any gluten. It works by producing an artificial blood clot, mixing 2 or more proteins found in the natural blood clotting cascade. These are refined from human blood donations. It comes in 2 vials that are mixed immediately before use and clot quickly.

This literally happened to me today I had gluten after not eating it for over 6 months doing the elimination diet has I'm trying to get help with a diagnosis I ate gluten a few days ago and then stopped  because I went for my blood test today unfortunately it's not enough has I've now learned from some helpful people on this forum it has to be a lot longer before a test but my food today was really salty I just thout it was me because I'd deviated off my diet but I definitely tasted my  food  salty so that's a very intriguing investigation for me now thankyou for the post

Here is more info about how to do a gluten challenge for a celiac disease blood panel, or for an endoscopy: and this recent study recommends 4-6 slices of wheat bread per day:
