so if Iā€™m reading this right, it looks like Iā€™m negative for Celiacs disease despite the positive DPG IGG. But I am not sure I understand the results for the stomach? Is that saying I have something there?Ā

It says your stomach is normal.

Yeah, thatā€™s what I thought lol but wasnā€™t sure why they would put benign. Is it doesnā€™t look like they gave me a Marsh score at all. So it would be 0 by this?Ā

Were you eating at least two slices of wheat bread daily for at least 2 weeks before your endoscopy? If not then this could skew your results.

It looks like a negative biopsy for celiac disease, but to be sure ask your gastro about these results. This does not rule out non-celiac gluten sensitivity, so if you have symptoms your next step might be a gluten-free diet to see if it helps.

I am going to make a post about what happened today when I tried to get a second opinion, Ā but basically his office didnā€™t call or speak with me at all with any information. I called and they told me he basically is sending me off to a general surgeon for my gullbladder and as far as heā€™s concerned thereā€™s no issue in regards to celiacs disease or any other part of gluten issues.Ā
Ā

I tried to talk with them about maybe doing a couple more tests, the genetic test, some anemia testing, maybe redoing the celiac tests to see if the numbers are going up. Instead, I was basically shamed by the nurse, told to wait until October to see a different doctor and a bunch of other stuff Iā€™ll save for my test and that Iā€™m being referred to a general surgeon for my gallbladder. The one thatā€™s been tested and theyā€™ve said is fine but want to remove anyway for no reason.Ā

I ate a lot of gluten, but I wouldnā€™t say I ate 2 slices of bread every day for 2 weeks.Ā

Since you had a positive blood test for celiac disease perhaps try a gluten-free diet to see if it helps with your symptoms (if so, likely non-celiac gluten sensitivity). It's unfortunate that your doctors are dismissing you, and it may be time to seek a different doctor.

Iā€™m looking for a second opinion currently. What makes me more worried is that my PCP hasnā€™t been checking my Gravesā€™ disease either, and no one else seems to concern that I was genetic tested positive for familial Mediterranean fever when I was pregnant with my son. Either way, I see a different doctor in June as a second opinion and Iā€™m wondering whether or not I should go into my primary care doctor and see if they can do a work up on a bunch of stuff, like anemia and thyroid and normal stuff you should check occasionally.

Ā

I got my genetic diagnosis in another state thatā€™s refusing to give s9me of my medical records. And that isnā€™t helping matters.Ā

If you plan to get further tests for celiac disease keep in mind that you need to be eating gluten daily for 6-8 weeks before blood tests, and 2 weeks before a biopsy.Ā

Threaten them that you will file a HIPAA complaint if they DO NOT COMPLY in giving you copies of your records.Ā  Of course is any copying, mailingĀ  fee's etc. are implied you will have to pay them.Ā

Thank you for the update.Ā  So interesting to know how things are changing, when I was diagnosed I had very similar blood results but still had to have the endoscopy.Ā  Glad you know where you stand.Ā  As your father has celiac disease you probably already know a lot about it, but do contact us if we can help further.

But isn't it easier to just take a D3 supplement? Is the D light somehow a superior source? Links?

So the way it should be used is to take it before possible gluten exposure, so right before a meal at a restaurant take 1-2 capsules. Unfortunately taking it 1 hour or more after an exposure is too late.
