Wood glues that are gluten-free

I called Gorilla Glue today, 10-17-23, to ask if their wood glue ultimate is gluten free, they said the chart says it contains no gluten. I’m going to build a table for my Mom and I know I won’t want to deal with the glue dust when I go to sand it, if it is gluten free.
I hope they are legit! Anyone had experience recently with gorilla wood glue containing gluten?

While I know that some glues could contain gluten, the company who makes any glue would definitely know more about this than anyone else...if Gorilla Glue says it is gluten-free you can probably go with that.

Even if it did contain gluten, however, how would this be an issue for your Mom? On wood projects I've worked on I don't recall getting glue on the surfaces where it could somehow contaminate food, but it never hurts to be extra cautious I suppose, especially if she's super sensitive.

Thank you Scott

I ended up using Titanium 3 for building the table because they also claim to be gluten free. It seemed to work well.

What is Titanium 3?

As I mentioned, gluten intolerance encompasses more than just those with celiac disease, and in the past was used more like the term "gluten sensitivity" is used today.

By the way, have you been diagnosed with celiac disease, and if so, are you on a 100% gluten-free diet?

I haven’t had any noticeable reactions to salt so I will continue using it. I think I just freaked out when I realized this but it doesn’t cause me any discomfort- so thanks!

Ok, thanks. I'm so glad to hear you are in the hands of a dermatologist. I hope he/she has given you 1) a diagnosis; and 2) a plan of care with a couple of options so that you have buy-in and comfort with it. I have some ideas, but not having seen the abscesses or you in person, it doesn't really make sense for me to kind of ... speculate further. But your question was regarding gluten, and you've gotten a couple of other follow up questions and answers that are good, including the idea to keep a food diary. Let us know if we can help further or answer any other questions. I'm sorry you're going through this, it sounds very painful.

@plumbago They appear as boils. They are big, like the size of a nickel--quarter, and they hurt when I touch them. I have gone to the same derm for them over and over and she thinks my body is colonized by a bacteria, but even after using hibiclens all over my body they come back.
