Sherry,

Here is what that Guasha/acupuncuturist lady I wrote about does for children:

Shonishin Pediatric Therapy training with Edokai Acupuncturists. Shonishin is a form of pediatric treatment that developed over 250 years ago in Japan. The treatment consists of pressing, rubbing, tapping, or light scraping of the skin to provide a gentle stimulation that will improve the severity of the child

Everyone,

So much for no ambien. After laying in bed for about an hour I decided I didn't want to take it too late, so I took it! LOL! I just don't want to be hooked on sleep aids for the rest of my life, especially since I'm so young! ;) But, sleep was never a problem, I think it's just because I don't have enough energy to get really tired, if that makes any sense.

Even now that I'm busy, working out, etc., I still can't sleep without it. It's the disease. I think that is one reason my LLMD thought we needed to work on detox ... because I have no real Lyme symptoms, just can't sleep, then can't wake up in the morning. That indicated toxicity and thyroid/adrenal issues.

I'm also hoping that I won't need them at some point .... I've been taking them for months and haven't increased the dosage, plus it seems that now I'm getting a little more sleep from each half-pill. Sometimes I'll sleep the whole night.

Sounds good April.

I always used to be able to sleep great. Even on days I'm busy though, I still can't sleep because I was used to waking up at 5am and getting to sleep at 12m. So, busy isn't even close to as busy as I used to be. When I start back at school, etc. I will be able to sleep just fine I'm sure.

About the amalgam, sweden will soon follow and ban amalgam too. The thing is, the dentists can use up what thay have, but they cannot buy any new amalgam. They are griping ang complaining because they say in some special cases only amalgam works, like in some old people who keep their mouth open....

No, I did not do detox, had no place to go , nor any money, single mom on government money for years. I paid out of pocket for private dentist so daughter did not get any amalgam.

I think I started to go downhill (thyroid symptoms) after mono in the late 80's.

I feel better on chlorella, I had a bottle in the back of the cabinet and after reading here I pulled it out and started at one tablet a day.

should I take something in addition?

I have homeopathic amalgamum D-30 sitting around, and some other homeopathic remedies but I have not researched them for this. I maybe should. The Germans use some homeopathic remedies they use first if they have had amalgam, or the usual homeopahtic medicines will not work, because the mercury stopts them form working or something like that.....

I could book an appointment at an alternative clinic, but it would cost from 1500 dollars to 3000 dollars for a series of appointments and treatments. They do detox too and some doctors have studied some environmental medicine in the USA.

Daughter tells me that the chlorella they buy in shops that sell supplies for fish (aquarioums) is much cheaper. It should be safe, or the fish would get poisoned......

I think I discovered where the fatigue is coming from. I was doing fine today until I had a piece of toast with apple butter and almond butter.

I know better .... I've not been able to have any processed fruit for YEARS due to mold, but I've been having a piece of toast with almond butter and jelly every day ... it's an all fruit jelly, so especially bad for me, LOL.

I think I'll take some cholestyramine and see if it helps .....

And the doc I went to see recently has a UV machine. Its a machine that takes blood out, runs it through a uv light to kill bugs, then puts it back in you. I don't know if I am up for that! Sounds invasive to me! Anyone else heard of that kind of machine?

Sounds VERY invasive!! Kind of scarey actually, lol.

Daughter tells me that the chlorella they buy in shops that sell supplies for fish (aquarioums) is much cheaper. It should be safe, or the fish would get poisoned......

I'd be careful of that kind. You want to make sure it's pure chlorella that doesn't contain any mercury.

Grrrrr!! I'm kind of upset! I just got a bill from my dentist for $854 from the work he did last year! There's a big ole stamp on there that says pay immediately or they'll send me to a collectiion agency. I haven't received ANY bills from them on this at all!!!! This is the first one!!! OMGosh! I even asked when I went in for a cleaning in October (or whenever it was) if I owed anything, and she said not to worry about it.

I should have waited to call when I wasn't so upset...I think the message I left was probably a little "not-so-happy" in tone. Wish I hadn't left it, but can't take it back now. :(

Ugh! That sucks!!! I HATE medical bills! We went today to make copies of every medical bill we've had in the past year and it's just disgusting the amount of money these people make/charge!

Donna.... from what I know of you, I think it's better that you called when you did. I think if you'd waited till you'd calmed down, you would have been too NICE! That totally stinks. They need to agree NOT to turn you over to collections and work out a payment plan with you, even if they don't normally do that- because you specifically asked them if you owed anything, and they said no. Stuff like this burns me up!

AndreaB Contributor

Donna,

That is totally irritating! I hope they'll give you the courtesy of payments.

Sherry is having a tough time getting her computer online. She will be on as soon as she is able.

Meanwhile, she started herxing with the new med......combined with jet lag.....no fun. Otherwise, she's doing good.

Sherry, sorry about the herxing :( Hope you get back on line soon.

I just re-arranged my bedroom

Geopathic stress came up in my ART session so she suggested I move my bed to a different wall.

Hey everyone

Hey Andrea I was going to ask you are you doing okay with the King Chlorella? That was causing me abdominal pain, twisting kind that radiated to my back area. That couldn't be what is causing your pain maybe???

Carla the lazer therapy knocks me out after I have it. I feel less toxic for a few days after that but then like on the 5 or 6th day the symptoms come back. Dr. M. is going to try to do some other things with me to help that next friday I guess. I hope no more bad needles in my vajaja.

Do you think avacados can be highly toxic? <_<

Does anyone react to sea salt?I eat it but it makes my teeth crack and pop. I wonder if it's some kind of chemicals or mineral reaction.

I stopped chlorella. It was making me feel more toxic I believe. I feel that it mobilizes metals and toxins a lot. I take bentonite clay now. Oh how much more constipated I am from that. Anyone else use bentonite clay? My body seem to like it. See I can read my body now. I have always had a problem with that. :D

Okay girls and boys have a good night

What is geopathic stress?

Sherry, I hope the herx lets up soon.

I KNOW now that it was the apple butter and jelly that has been causing my fatigue. Oddly enough, the cholestyramine helped! Glad I learned about mold and cholestyramine on this thread, LOL!

I've really been feeling quite normal, except for insomnia and morning fatigue .... let's hope it keeps up with the lesser abx/more herbs.

I think the Lariam is making me hallucinate .... just a little, LOL. I guess it's common. Last night, Adam walked out of the bathroom at 5:30 AM and told me he loved me, sleep well. Then he walked to his side of the bed. I could hear the wind blowing in the trees and our parrots squawking.

Okay, the truth is, Adam was in Chicago and I had earplugs in my ears! :o :o  The worst part, I couldn't get back to sleep.

So, I told Adam he woke me up at 5:30 .... he apologized! Last night was a Lariam night ... I had a similar experience with it one other time. Both times were at night. I guess if it gets worse, or scary, I'll have to tell my LLMD.

The other time, I kept hearing things being thrown on the floor while I was sleeping, I'd get up, look, and there'd be nothing. Finally, I said to Adam, "Surely you heard THAT!"

AndreaB Contributor

Lisa,

I had tested good for the King Chlorella in September. As far as I know it's still ok. Since I increased the probiotics I've been doing better.

I hope doctor M can figure out something to help you feel better longer than the 5 or 6 days.

CarlaB Enthusiast

Lisa, avocados can kill a bird! So, I'd say there's something toxic in them ... at least if you're a bird.

I hope you keep the needles out of your privates! :o I'd have liked to see the look on your face when they suggested THAT! You're a braver soul than I!

aprilh Apprentice

i LOVE avacados! They are high in Copper so if you're copper is already imbalanced and high it could cause symptoms of copper toxicity.

I believe I am high in copper and try to balance it by taking zinc.

I will know for sure soon.

Teeth Crack and pop? Hadn't heard of this? That is strange! Do you have metal fillings in your teeth?

Those hallucinations sound a bit scary! :(

Donna, Its good you called when you were mad. They should definately set up a payment plan for you and I am sure if you talked to the dentist directly he would, since he didn't seemed worried about it when you were in there last. Threatening collections on the first notice is pretty crappy!

Hi everyone,

Just got online but may not access too much longer.

The herxing follows a couple hours after the drops and last 3-4 hours. I'm going to try to use more chlorella, as that seemed to help me last night. Of course herxing is good...obviously this is working on me!

I'll try to get a full update ready as soon as I can. We will be leaving here tomorrow to head to Portland, and maybe see Andrea on the way!!!

mftnchn Explorer

Oh, and as soon as I can get to a store and get lemons I am going to try the lemon water for sure!!

Carla, that's a funny story! LOL! Well, it's scary, but funny. It's funny because lately I keep swearing my brother is talking to me! But, as we all know, he is at the hospital! LOL! Even before that though, I kept thinking someone was at the top of the stairs (I can see it from my bed if my door is open) but there isn't anyone there! I wonder if it's a Lyme symptom?!

So I had to clean the bathroom my brother and I used to share, but since it's now mine, I am re-doing it. Well, since there was all kinds of nasty stuff in there, I had to use scrubbing bubbles since it's the only thing that really cleans well. I'm now shaking really badly. I used a mask and gloves, but I guess my body doesn't like that!

I'm on the King chlorella now too, and tested well for it.

Hi I just wanted to update you all and let you know that I finally have my diagnosis. 2 weeks ago I had my third gastroscopy and the biopsy confirmed the damage. Thank you for giving me the information I needed to advocate for myself when I a was a feeling so lost!
    • Scott Adams
I agree that the gastritis may go away after you've been on a gluten-free diet for a while. If you are concerned, it might make sense for you to do a follow up biopsy after  a year or so on a gluten-free diet. This article has some detailed information on how to be 100% gluten-free, so it may be helpful (be sure to also read the comments section.):
    • Scott Adams
Getting tested for celiac disease is a valid concern, especially given your history of microscopic colitis and the potential risks associated with undiagnosed celiac disease, such as cross-contamination, nutrient malabsorption, and increased cancer risk. Since you’ve been gluten-free for years, reintroducing gluten for the standard celiac blood tests or endoscopy would be challenging, as it requires consuming gluten for several weeks to months, which could worsen your symptoms and disrupt your daily life. Gene testing (HLA-DQ2 and HLA-DQ8) through a lab like EnteroLab could be a helpful first step. While these genes are present in nearly all celiac patients, having them doesn’t confirm celiac disease—it only indicates genetic susceptibility. If you don’t have these genes, celiac disease is highly unlikely, which could provide some peace of mind. However, if you do have the genes, it doesn’t confirm celiac disease but suggests further testing might be warranted if you’re willing to undergo a gluten challenge. Another option is to discuss with your doctor whether a follow-up endoscopy or other non-invasive tests (like stool tests for gluten antibodies) could provide insights without requiring a gluten challenge. While a formal celiac diagnosis can be important for ensuring strict dietary adherence, access to gluten-free options in hospitals, and monitoring for complications, it’s also worth weighing the risks and benefits of reintroducing gluten. If you’re already strictly gluten-free and managing your symptoms well, the urgency of a formal diagnosis may depend on your personal health goals and concerns. Consulting a gastroenterologist familiar with celiac disease and Microscopic Colitis can help guide your decision.
