Welcome melannen :):)

Yes, jump right in. We cover a wide range of topics with a lot of (or sometimes just a little bit  ) of scientificness.

heehee so I gather :D

Well howdy Melannen! Um, I think I"m the QUEEN of off-topic....

Spent a week in Venice....OMG. Heaven. Trieste - - - I know I've been there and can't remember exactly where it was. All of it - the whole of the country - - is Heaven. Didn't spend much time in the southern part, though, except for the Isle of Capri. Don't even get me started..........

I loved Italy but my heart is really in Switzerland *sigh* I'd like to live there someday :)

uh oh.....

The Dave is reading our gossip!!!

:o:lol::ph34r::o:lol::ph34r:

:lol::lol::lol:

This is what happens Dave when you leave the table, now that you're back it might be more difficult to talk about you. Might. :)

Rachel, I so appreciate your determination to find out what is wrong. I feel the same way.

And welcome and good luck to our brave newcomer, I jumped in about page 75 and haven't found the way out yet.

Sheeesh....so much I wanna reply to but I have no time.

Will have to come back tomorrow....hopefully I wont get too far behind. :)

Oh....Dave and I were just discussing what we should do tonight. He said theres a movie that he really wants to see...I asked him which one? He said its called "Win a date with Tad Hamilton". :o

ROFL....I knew he had read the thread. :P I did tell him there was some "chatter" going on about him. ;)

BTW....I've seen that movie and LOVED it. :D I like all those types of movies....romantic comedys are my favorite. I actually own that one. :)

Dave doesnt really like "chick flicks" but I'm gonna try to talk him into seeing this one.

Rachel's writing something....do you think she's mad at us???

ROFL....OMG...you guys are in soooo much trouble. :P

and of course helping Rach's love life :D

Hi Julie! The corn chips were from TArget - I think Archer Farms and they should be fine. I am pretty sure it was the guac - there is vinegar in it - - for the life of me I can't remember the vinegar situation and what is safe. But I really thought I've had this guac before - who knows.

Sheesh sorry guys :o - - am just really down right now. Carry on....

Susan, I had the same thing happen to me a couple of months ago with those chips!!! I didn't know if it was the chips or the salsa then. It was the chips. I called Target and they said it could be cross contamination and sent me a $2.00 coupon <_< They were really good - but not that good ;)

Hope you feel better. Call them and they will send you a coupon! :P

Rachel OMG could the ex have poisoned you!!!???

:o:o:o

:lol::lol:

Believe me....the thought *did* cross my mind when all of this was happenning to me.

Guys do not start out looking for friendships with women. I'm sorry but it's true. I have to agree with Vincent here. We are always interested, and that's that. Once we're married though, the rules change, and we are more able to be friends w/o wanting it to be more.

Dave has just informed me that men and women CAN be friends....so there you go!

Ah, Switzerland....I hope to get there someday.....

Oohh it's gorgeous! I'm hoping to go back to Europe next summer; the same orchestra I went with last time is touring again. I'm not sure yet if I'll be able to work it out though :(

This time they're going to the Netherlands!!!

Rachel--24 Collaborator
For the effects of poisiong from the ex to begin to show themselves, you would have had to have been rebellious for a longtime. (Due to the fact it would take time to build up in your system)

I hope that sentence made sense, because it was hard to type (stupid verb tenses)!

This is a good point. I should know....I was obsessed with Court TV's "Forensic Files" for quite some time. My ex and I used to watch this show all the time....thats kinda why I became a little suspicious. <_<

You can learn alot about how to poison someone on shows like that.

Seriously though....I think it was the mercury. My ex and I are friends now. :)

Well howdy Melannen! Um, I think I"m the QUEEN of off-topic....

BTW you see my question about fillings? You story has me wondering a few things....

I did see your question...how many "silver" fillings do you have? Those are the ones that contain mercury. Are they in direct contact with any other types of metals like gold? Have you had any drilled out? Do you have any crowns that were placed on top of older silver fillings or anything like that? I can give you lots of info. about this stuff but need to know more.

I gotta go cuz TheDave is waiting and I'm sitting here still in my work clothes and seriously lagging. Sorry Dave. I guess I got sucked into the vortex and couldnt find the exit.

Getting dress up to go out with TheDave.... hehe I remeber when my wife and I insisted we were just friends... no one believed us either! :D

Anyways..

I have AT LEAST 20 silver fillings. One fell out and was replaced with white filling. My dentist recently switched and ONLY does the white ones now, so my last few were the white ones. No gold, to pricey for me, and I dunno about other materails. I did have to have a crown repaired cause one of thier dentists "broke it" (they fired him and fixed several of my fillings for free, turns out he realy sucked). Honestly I realy do not know that much about them... I never had reason to suspect them... HOWEVER I have been struggling to figure out why I went from realy healthy to freaking have to micromange my food, and all inteh past few years... the same time span that I have had this dental work doing (took over year to get it all done, and I need more :( )

Vincent,

I'm certainly not an expert but I would guess that you could have a mercury burden taxing your system. It could be something else though. The fact that your getting sick during the time your getting all the work done would be a little reason to suspect something from the teeth. 20 amalgam fillings is alot to have in one mouth. The ADA claims mercury is safe in fillings but scientific evidence proves otherwise. Also the ADA does acknowledge that mercury does leak from the fillings....(they used to deny this). The mercury is always leaking from the fillings.

I've read alot of peoples experiences with mercury on various message boards and websites. I know there is something to this because many people regain their health after proper amalgam removal and chelation therapy. Other things that can wreak havoc on the body can be bad root canals, cavitations, infections, etc.

Basically anything that is chronic and continuing to put stress on the immune system can ruin our health. I think when the underlying cause is coming from our teeth or mercury in fillings its VERY hard to determine or diagnose. Its also really expensive.....insurance doesnt cover amalgam replacement when not necessary....plus the removal itself can cause more poisoning if not done by someone who knows what they're doing and is protecting you from the vapors as the fillings are drilled out. Thats what happened to me. My dentist was ignorant about mercury...he didnt do anything to protect me as he drilled out the first 2 fillings....then he put the gold crowns in contact with my 2 last silver fillings.

I think because of the fact that he had created a galvanic reaction in my mouth with the placement of the gold crowns I was poisoned very rapidly and symptoms were easy to trace back to the dental work. Even people who are skepitcal of a mercury toxicity diagnosis for me have to admit that something is very suspicious about my rapid decline in health and the dental work. I didnt have the crowns removed for one year though....it took me that long to really learn about what might be going on. Even though I was unaware of mercury poisoning I must have had some clue that the crowns might be making me sick. I remember googling my symptoms and "gold crowns". Thats when I learned about mercury toxicity.

I'm convinced that alot of people would be experiencing the same ill effects from the mercury slowly leaking from the fillings over time. Eventually it will take its toll. The symptoms would likely be slower to come on and not as obvious or severe as what I experienced.

Was there ever a time that any of your silver fillings may have broke and needed replacent? Thats what happened to me. One of my fillings broke and I swallowed it but didnt bother to go to the dentist for 2 years cuz it didnt bother me. Its possible more mercury was leaking from the filling during that time because of it not being sealed and sitting there broken all that time. I didnt have symptoms though. When I finally went to the dentist he obviously noticed it and said it needed to be replaced along with one other one that he said was deteriorating also. When he drilled them out was when I would have gotten my first very high dose of mercury due to the fact that he didnt protect me at all. I was already experiencing symptoms from that alone....before he even put in the gold crowns.

Its dangerous stuff if the dentist doesnt know what hes doing. Also you dont wanna have any leftover silver filling buried underneath a new crown that might possibly contain any metals at all. You may want to find out what materials have been used in your fillings or crowns.

I *do* hope that this turns out to be the problem for me because not only would it make sense to me but with a good doctor....its totally cureable. The prognosis is better than it would have been with a Lyme Disease diagnosis. I think it'll really put a strain on the finances though. :(

At least one broke/fell out and was replaced, and several had to be redone/drilled/etc. :(

I would be suspicious if the symptoms started shortly after any of the fillings were drilled out. What *should* be done during the removal is a rubber dam should be used to prevent you from swallowing or inhaling bits of the fillings while they're drilled out. They should use a vaccum type thing that sucks all the vapors out of the building so as to not expose you or the dentist to large amounts of mercury. Its inevitable that there will be *some* exposure but obviously you would want it to be minimal.

The dentist I had didnt even use a dam even though he had them right there in his office. He later told me he rarely uses them because they make it difficult for him to work.

Yeah...thats great... lets make the saftety of the patient our last priority. <_<

The dentist I saw who removed the last 2 fillings took all the necessary precautions. None of the dentists will really talk much about mercury cuz they are "gagged". If they were to openly discuss dangers of mercury in fillings they would risk losing their liscence.

I think my dentist genuinely believed that there was no risk....he kept saying how the ADA declares mercury safe in fillings and whatever had gotten me sick had nothing to do with the fillings.

The second dentist had a video playing in his waiting room which showed all the scientific eveidence that mercury in fillings causes serious health problems. However he didnt ever discuss it with me even though I had asked questions. He kind of danced around the questions but did tell me alot of things I needed to do to help myself get better. Diet was one of the things he spent alot of time explaining to me. He went into great detail telling me what I should and shouldnt eat if I wanted to feel better. Everything he had advised that day I totally blew off for about 8 months until I got desperate. It turned out that everything he had told me was true in my case and I did get alot better following his advice.

DingoGirl Enthusiast

Am wondering....do dentists USE amalgam fillings any more? I always choose the white fillings but do have a mouth filled wtih mercury in back....... :o Yeah, uh, my deep sadness in life started around age 5 - too much going on in my family BUT also the time of my first filling....

coincidence????

I THINK NOT

:o

Test results came back for everything that was tested now. Cholesterol is off the charts high. Not sure if that’s related to celiac, I have no idea how it could be so high. Also tested positive for H pylori  infection… is there a link to celiac and H pylori? Or am I just experiencing symptoms of the H pylori infection?
    • ChrisSeth
I’m reading that some sites list a high Immunoglobulin A result for my age above 300, another site says above 356, and other sites are saying above 400. I don’t know what to make of this result 🤷‍♂️
    • trents
You got some bum steers my friend. I have little confidence that you can trust your test results as differentiating between NCGS and celiac disease. And I think you would be much more likely to have gotten that note you need if you had been diagnosed with celiac disease. But believe me, I understand the predicament you are in with regard to the risks of repeating the gluten challenge. We have heard this story many times on this forum. People experiment with the gluten free diet before getting an official diagnosis and then cannot tolerate the gluten challenge later on when they seek an official diagnosis.
    • Jason Hi
For the upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, they said 7 days of gluten. So I did 8...fast food and Krispy Kreme doughnuts. For the earlier blood test, the younger doctor said I didn't have to. My immune system went down, I was in the bathroom a lot, and as my wife said my brain wasn't braining.
    • ChrisSeth
Thanks guys. I just got my results but I don’t know what they mean…  celiac disease reflex panel Immunoglobulin A  normal range 66-433  my results are a score of 358. Is this normal? I have no idea what to make of it…
