Dear Mango04,

HAPPY REALLY LATE BIRTHDAY!!!! ;) Oh, that chocolate cake sounded great! Did it have icing too? I love icing! I miss it. :(

Dear Rachel,

You have a turtle! I love turtles! I love guinea pigs as well. They are my favorite. They are funny. I grew up with a lot of pets, so it feels weird now that we only have one dog! At one time, we actually had 2 dogs, 1 rabbit, over 1 dozen hamsters, 3 guinea pigs, and 7 aquariums of fish! Remember to be careful with handling turtles, because you can get sick! They carry Salmonella! :o

That thing on Oprah about autism sounded great. I wish I could have watched it. I was sleeping! My sleep schedule is screwy again. I can stay on a normal schedule for a week or two, but then I get messed up.

OMG! That sounds great the Rachelville can have safe peanut butter! ;) I love PB&J! Some gluten free bread that is actually not stiff and crumbly would be nice, too! MMMMMMM!!!!!!!!

As far as mold goes, it definitely causes some serious damage. Scott seems to be on the money. According to my research, Stachybotrys is one of the worst, along with Penicillium. They have been linked to lung cancer and even ulcers! :o

Dear Donna,

It sounds like something is wrong there with your gallbladder. I am thinking perhaps a stone marred your bile duct while passing through. My stones were apparently passing between tests. Are you getting any pain under your right rib cage? When I had my gallbladder in, I had diarrhea every time I ate. If I ate something high in fat, my lower abdomen would feel like someone was taking a double-edged sword and ripping it through my gut. I would actually shreik from the pain.

Yep, I am a peanut butter addict. I ate more today! Keep your fingers crossed! Maybe it won't hurt me this time. I know you tend to be addicted to what you are allergic to. Mold is something I have been allergic to my whole life practically. I had a skin reaction from it at age 3.

Dear Lisa,

Yay! No bubble guts! That is great! We hope something shows in your test. Let us know!

Sincerely,

NoGluGirl

I feel pretty toxic right now. I feel like there's nothing but green toxic smoke in me. My bladder pain was excrutiating today I just wanted to die. You should thank god that you don't have to go through this bladder pain everyday. I know with all the other stuff you are going through you are all still struggling too. So I drank the colostrum like my naturopath said an I got bubble guts. I don't know if I should keep drinking it. My guts sound like sweak, swake, ekkk , irrrr. Like their talking or something. Anyways yeah so my naturopath says dmso? I hope that this thing will go away someday. I am willing to do the urine test and I found the pill in the box. It is about the size of a capsule. What have I got to lose. I don't think I can feel any worse?

Ohh my gosh, I am so sorry Tabasco. I was reading your post and it seems like you are in so much pain. Thats not cool. I hate Bladder pain too. I used to get flare ups for a while several months at a time, it hurt to pee, I had pressure in my belly and bloating, my gynocologist dx me with cystitis and wanted to put me on elmeron, its to replace the mucus layer in the bladder, supossedly my mucus layer was thin or non existant so my bladder was always irritated. I must say,,, I do have mucus issues! I hope you feel better soon dear! Are you taking any medications? For me it went away on its own, it just took some time.

today there has been a set back . I thought this new doc took my insurance but he doesen't and is super expensive.I don;t know what to do. I put in a call to my regular doctor and I am hoping he can talk to him and we can work something out. Fingers crossed.

Oh god now all this talk about peanut butter has made me really want it!!! I might have to try some. I am allergic to almonds so I am a no go on the almond butter. Rachel- if i try it am I safer to try jif or skippy than organic?

The problem with me and PB is it is so good it is the one thing I find it hard not to rachel.

CarlaB Enthusiast

Miamia, can you eat Nutella? It's made from hazelnuts and chocolate! Yum!

I hope you can work something out with the doctor. I still get 70/30 coverage outside of network, can you do something like that?

go to this website and tell me what you think. This information is wonderful.

The discussion is about PAIN stemming from Hyaluronidase, the enzyme that controls the characteristics of Hylauronan, not working correctly. In the condition of Fibromyalgia ( a bull- diagnoses, but hear me out) The body lets Hyaluronan over thicken the Serous Fluid and cause pain.

So Basically they are saying the acutal cause of fibro pain is a result of hypoperfusion - (Hypoperfusion is actually decreased blood flow to a given tissue or organ) In FMS it is actually disrupted flow of Lymphatic / Serous Fluids) body-wide.

A few Quotes from site (sound familar?):

Joints in the jaw are starved and cartilage breaks down = TMJD.

Serous Fluids do not correctly provide lubrication in the gut lining = Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

High acid levels / no Serous Fluid circulation to nourish them > teeth splitting.

Body tries to eliminate excess acid = frequent urination.

Deep skin blemishes are excess Serous Fluid with no access to surface.

Itching and rash are caused by overly acid perspiration staying on the skin, especially

in areas that touch each other.

Serous Fluid cannot reach eyes = dry eyes.

Serous Fluid that reaches eyes has low pH = burning eyes.

Serous Fluid that reaches eyes is too thick = dulled vision / like looking through saran wrap.

Sluggish or interrupted flow of Serous Fluid slows body signals = Seritonin Reuptake, which causes obsessive compulsive symptoms, difficulty "moving forward" completing tasks, and chemical depression. Reversed when flow of Serous Fluid is restored. An SSRI or SSNRI, best taken at night, maintains correct signaling.

Flow of healthy Serous Fluid does not reach the neck, head, brain sufficiently = Brain Fog.

The viscous Serous Fluid cannot flow constantly, as needed, to reach extremities, resulting in tissue degeneration, loss of function, pain, weakness, fatigue, stiffness, intellectual and emotional suppression, depression, headaches, hair loss, blistering on skin/scalp and tongue, over-sensitivity

to sound, light and other stimuli, as well as other disabilities.

Chronic Sinus problems are caused by Serous Fluid not clearing. It can also cause very painful "ice pick" headaches. Small amounts of Serous Fluid can become trapped in the narrow passageways of the head. Hyaluronan is very hydrophilic and can absorb a thousand times its weight in water. If a glob of trapped Serous Fluid begins to draw moisture from the surrounding tissues; it swells. This creates a "hydraulic jack" effect causing extreme pressure and pain in a small area, leading to severe sinus headaches.

Every problem I had I have found some corrilation with haylauron, and I have been reading about it for years...since I had my toxic exposire,,, it all makes sense down to the bladder, TMJ, thyroid problems, headaches, symptoms after eating, dry eyes, mouth etc, puffy skin, dreprssion. It seems they are all apart of the bizarre cosmic whole after all called a messed up vascular system. Maybe I'm not a complete nut case after all!

This website expalins it so well.

I will be reading about this more also...

christine 25 Newbie

I have been looking for a website like this for years. I am freaking out right now!

I wrote to the woman who wrote it and asked her some questions.

Nerd Allert!

I am going to go saturate my neurons in more information and totally obsess about it! Haha.

Hyaluronidase here I come...

Rachel- if i try it am I safer to try jif or skippy than organic?

The problem with me and PB is it is so good it is the one thing I find it hard not to rachel.

Miamia....my recommendation is DONT DO IT!!

Step away from the evil peanut butter before it sucks you in. :o

Dont even buy any peanut butter at all.....especially since you already know you're gonna be racheling it.

Seriously....I talked to my Bioset lady about mold yesterday. Its extremely common for people who are toxic to react to molds...it happens...its almost to be expected.

It would be less common to find someone who is toxic who does *not* have a problem with mold...heck I dont even know if thats possible??

As "reactive" as we are....we're most likely gonna get problems from any peanut butter. If you eat JIF....it might be a little less moldy....but then you've got pesticides, fungicides....who knows what else. I'm not sure what the ingredients are for JIF??

Personally....I wouldnt eat either of them. Its only gonna make you feel worse. I think we tend to crave the things which are not so good for us. Also...my own experience is that giving in to cravings makes it that much harder to stay off of the bad foods.

Its like feeding an addiction...it feels good for the moment...but then you gotta live with the pain...once you get over the worst part....you do it all over again.

Sheeeesh...it sounds like the OMG thread needs a peanut butter "intervention".

My advice: Resist temptation. :)

Miamia,

I've got to side with Rachel on this.........step away from the peanut butter....do not buy it.

Hope you can work out some reduced payments with the new doc. My doc is out of network and he gives me a 10-20% discount if I pay with cash. Maybe this doc could give you a bigger discount since you'd need to see him more often.

Christina,

I didn't look at the website but it sounds interesting. Lots of stuff seems to tie in for you. :)

Rachel--

If you can ever remember how to do it, I'd love to see your lil' critters! I do remember your scrapbooking room--it was fantastic!

Patti....awhile back I tried to find that thread...so I could go to the place that I linked those pictures from. I couldnt find the thread though...I couldnt find it in any search.

Anyways...maybe it was "photobucket" or something like that.....it sounds familiar to me. This can be a new project for me to start working on. The "Get Past Your Brainfog and Just DO IT" project. :P

Hopefully you guys can "meet" all of my critters soon enough. :)

Miamia...bummer about the insurance. :(

Hopefully something can be worked out.

None of my Dr.'s take my insurance...they are all "out of network" for me. Basically everyone I've seen since I left my HMO has been out of network.

None of the Dr.'s I want or need to see are listed in my plan...I guess thats just the way it goes for non conventional stuff?? Anyways...when I go out of network I'm still covered but only 50%....and I have a $400 deductible each year for out of network.

So far its been do-able for me. Does your insurance not give you any coverage at all if you go outside your plan?? This was the case for me when I was with Kaiser....because it was an HMO.

Thats why I switched to a more "open" plan last year...so I could have the option of seeing who I want and I figure 50% coverage is better than no coverage at all. Is something like this possible for you??

So far none of my Dr.'s are outrageously expensive. The highest was my initial visit with my Dr.....but that included Igenix testing and a couple other tests...so it was expensive. All of my follow-ups arent bad at all. I pay close to $75 per visit.

Its about the same for my new Dr. (Dr. Amy). My initial visit was a little more expensive but follow-ups will be close to what I pay to see my other Dr.

BioSET is my biggest expense...it falls under "acupuncture" in my insurance plan...so I'm only covered up to $500 for the entire year....after that I'm paying everything out of pocket. :(

Rachel--24 Collaborator

So.....I'm still saving up for my big reward when I get better....my new car. :D

The only thing getting in my way right now is this stupid sickness.

I wasnt totally "sold" on the Eclipse Spyder but I do like it better than alot of other choices. But then I found this car.....

Open Original Shared Link

I saw it on the road one day and it caught my eye...enough to wanna check it out online....except I had no idea what it was....which kind of hampered my search.

I saw it in an article online a few days ago....for sporty cars that actually have good gas mileage (a must for me).

So yeah...I "built" my new car and its actually a litte cheaper than the Eclipse. I'm just not sure how good Pontiac's are??

So far I've only had a Toyota Celica (awesome car) and then my Mitsubishi Eclipse (love this car too).

I feel like a two seater is so tiny though. Thats the only thing. <_<

Everyone says my Eclipse pretty much is a 2-seater....but anyways...I can throw stuff back there...even if actual people cant fit in the seats.

Nobody has ever wanted to sit in the backseat of my car...even the kids complain there is not enough room. Its still a backseat though....I like knowing that its there. :P

What do you guys think about this little Pontiac??

AndreaB Contributor
What do you guys think about this little Pontiac??

It's cute but looks way to small for my tastes. I like the idea of being able to throw stuff in the back seat......unless the pontiac has a real good sized trunk.....which I somehow doubt.

Dear Christina,

OMG! So many things match up! I am so glad you found this! I have TMJ, VMR, and those horrible ice pick headaches. They start out like a stabbing pain in your head, and then it develops into a migraine. The only thing that gets rid of them is sinus pills with acitomenophen, phenylephrine HCl, and chlorphenamarine maleate. It has to be those three in a combo. I used to use the ones with pseudophedrine, but the stupid meth heads ruined that for us all. :( I also have had my teeth breaking off the past few years. I never had cavities as a child! WTH? The fatigue I experience is miserable at times. Thanks for the info!

Dear Rachel,

You know how you were talking about your tongue tingling or getting prickly and numb before?

I had the happen when I ate french dressing recently. I must be allergic to something in it. The thing is, if I am allergic to vinegar or tomatoes, I should have the same response when eating ketchup and barbecue. I don't. Perhaps, because tomatoes often have mold naturally present, that is the case? In that particular bottle, maybe there is mold content?

You are right about the PB. Keeping it in the house is just a way to tempt yourself into oblivion. When I do not eat it, I do not need it. When I do, I have to eat it every day! It sucks being addicted. I can eat Reese Cups and not have trouble. However, if I eat it by itself, if I overdo it, I will end up sick. The oil is bad for me. I can eat peanuts though and not get sick.

That is a nice car! The thing I would be concerned about it if I you get in a wreck. If it is too small, you will end up dead in a car accident. It looks beautiful, though! The price is not bad, either! ;)

Dear Mia,

Sorry to hear about the insurance difficulties. I can relate to the worry about cost. I have no coverage, so every little thing is out of pocket. It sucks that you have to deal with all of this stuff. It is bad enough to be sick, but to have all of that to handle on top of it!

Sincerely,

NoGluGirl

Andrea-

yeah I am hoping that I can work something out. I dodn't speak to the doctor yesturday but I spoke to the women in his office and tried to explain how dire the situation was. She was going to talk tot he doctor for me. It seemed like once she heard who my doctor was she was reallly gonna try to help me so I am hoping that if she talks to him and my docot talks to him we can work something out.

Rachel-

yeah none of my docotrs are really in my network. IT stinks, but I had no insurance for while so now at least I get some medicienes and tests covered so I am thankful for that.

I respect the Peanut Butter advice. I have some in the house right now - I have alot of will power so I haven't touched it for a while. I ahve to look back in my food journals and see how bad or what my reaction was like from it the last time I ate it. I know I get a worse reaction from almond or cashew butter. The only reason I would think of trying the PB is because my body is so weird I react to things that most people handle and seem to handle better alot of what people react to.

CArla-

No I can't have nutella - but I know exactly what it is- It is THE BEST tasting stuff in the world!!!!!!

So I toke the test yesterday and waiting for the pickup. The pill I took was DMPS not DMSO. I believe they use that for instills in bladders. Something they instill in my bladder everyweek. So nothing, no reaction no bubble guts or anything. Isn't something suppose to happen if it is mercury toxicity? I did experience a horrible stomachache after dinner but I ate like a pig which I never do. It did affect my bladder a bit but that's about it. I have been taking the colustrum again and no bubble guts from that anymore. Sometime I wonder if it was the okra I was eating in large amounts everyday. Ever since I stopped eating okra my guts have seemed to settle. Still have that chemicals sensitivity though. I cut out all grains as well. So that's it. I sometimes also wonder if I got sick due to the extreme mold exposure at my last apartment. There was all kinds of mold in the tile. The tile looked black and stuff. Oh well we will see how this test goes instead of guessing. Hope it was worth it.

I don't know about reactions...I think some people react right away to the DMPS and some don't, but it should should in the urine if mercury is there. I wouldn't completely rule it out just because there were no adverse symptoms.

It sounds like something is wrong there with your gallbladder. I am thinking perhaps a stone marred your bile duct while passing through. My stones were apparently passing between tests. If I ate something high in fat, my lower abdomen would feel like someone was taking a double-edged sword and ripping it through my gut. I would actually shreik from the pain.

Nope, no pain in that area. Most of my pain seems to be on my left side throughout my body. I don't get diarrhea after eating necessarily...I mean it happens sometimes, but that's because I eat ALL THE TIME. But, the other day it happened as soon as I woke up. I opened my eyes and was like :o gotta go NOW, lol.

today there has been a set back . I thought this new doc took my insurance but he doesen't and is super expensive.I don;t know what to do. I put in a call to my regular doctor and I am hoping he can talk to him and we can work something out. Fingers crossed.

Okay, from me who racheled a WHOLE jar of peanut butter in just about 5 days...NO DON'T do it, lol. About the set back...I once saw a doctor in my network who referred me to a doctor who was out of network...for some reason that second doctor was covered. I don't know how that worked, but they said something about the fact that it was a referral...you may want to check with your insurance company about that.

Yah, BioSET and my supplements, lol. Yowsa! My deductible this year was $500!!! and $1,000 I think for out of network!!! So far my insurance isn't paying any of the BioSET stuff, but that's because they say they are missing a code. So I have to find some kind of code and resubmit, lol.

What do you guys think about this little Pontiac??

LOVE IT!!!! I can totally see you zipping around in that (even though I've never met you, lol). I have a back seat, which DOES fit people, but I don't know that anyone has ever ridden back there, lol. It IS handy for other things though. The one thing with a two seater...if you do things with friends (as in more than 1), you won't have to drive.

dlp252 Apprentice

Well, everyone, today is the day....All set for my ART session. You should see my bag of supplements, lol. It is HUGE!!!! I'm also going to take a bottle with some of my Pure filtered water in it to see if that is okay. I don't know if they can test stuff like tea, but I'm taking my Pao D'Arco tea, which I haven't tried yet, to see if I can handle that.

The one thing I'm concerned about is that I had another session of prolotherapy yesterday and my arms are so sore. I'm not sure I have any muscle strength in either one. I got 12 injections! Several in the shoulders and elbows and several in the neck and head. The right shoulder is the worst. That started hurting before I even left the center yesterday and it still hurts...hurts when I lift it, hurts when I touch it. I'll mention it to Scott to be sure, but I'm keeping that appointment, lol.

I also had an appointment with the nutritionist yesterday. He's keeping an eye on my adrenals and overall thinks the trend is good. I'm seeing VERY SLOW steady improvement. The big emphasis has been to reduce my pain load to take one more of the stressors off my adrenals and it does seem to be improving ever so slowly. We already addressed the food intolerances and the hormonal imbalances. He is worried about my sleep though, cuz that's a big thing to help the adrenals and I'm just not getting that help. I can't sleep without taking melatonin and myocalm. He said it COULD still be hormonal and wants me to pay attention to WHEN I do or don't sleep well. I take a supplement called Progest (which I think is progesterone) from the 16th of the month to the 28th of the month...he wants to see if I sleep better during that time (cuz it helps some people) and if I do he'll probably keep me on progesterone longer.

Good luck today, Donna :)

Donna....GOOD LUCK!!

I cant wait to hear the results. Dont worry at all about your arm....they dont use your arm....you will only lay there and be totally confused and amazed by everything thats going on.

Hi everyone! I hope you all have a blessed Easter!

My birthday is Monday, so I'm having a planned splurge that I probably shouldn't have, but it won't make me feel bad ... Haagen Dazs vanilla with hot carmel syrup. Yum. I'll just have to take some extra probiotics that day! :P

I don't think I'll have too much trouble with the Easter candy temptation because I'm not too wild about candy anyway.

Rachel--24 Collaborator

Yeah...I always feel like I totally *need* a backseat. Then people are like..."Ummm...Rachel...when do you ever use your back seat??"

I guess its almost like I have a 2-seater already because when there is more than one person traveling with me I usually end up not driving....and I actually *like* to drive. :o

So yeah...people dont want to be squished in the backseat of my car.......it seriously lacks legroom....as in you cant move your legs at all.

Then...if we have no choice but to go in my car...I end up sitting in the back ...cuz of always being the smallest. :(

I do have fears about getting into an accident in a small car...like the pontiac.

I also do need room to put stuff....so if the trunk is tiny...its not a good thing. <_<

Oh well...I got plenty of time to think about it.

CarlaB Enthusiast

My MINI has a backseat, and believe it or not, we've had four adults in it. It's not bad on the leg-room, even my son who is over 6'2" doesn't have his knees crammed into the front seat. The whole car is basically seating, not much trunk, but I go to the grocery alone and just put the backseats down for trips to the grocery.

It just depends on how much you like small cars. Most small cars have more safety features built in them ... I would definately check on that.

I picked mine because I liked the looks of it and because it had a useful backseat. I knew a two-seater wouldn't work for me ... I'd seldom get to drive it! Sometimes I think they put a backseat into a car just for insurance purposes because they sure aren't big enough for an actual person!

See....this is a huge bonus about my Eclipse. My trunk is already pretty big but I can put the seats down and have a ton of room. I LOVE that. People cannot believe the stuff I've put into that car.

My whole scrapbooking area that I built came home in my car....including the countertop....which is nearly as long as the car itself (I had to leave the hatchback open to do it). When the seats are down...I can put some pretty big things into that little car....its amazing the pieces of furniture and other objects I've bought and put into that car.

So yeah...I wouldnt be able to do that with the little pontiac. <_<

Carla...my mom totally loves the Mini Cooper....she's loved that car for awhile now. :)

Thank you, Andrea. I'm looking forward to it. Thankfully, I don't have much of a sweet tooth, but I do like ice cream or carmel once in a while. ;)

I agree. PPI use long term is concerning. I believe a combination of PPI use along with a history of antibiotics for colds and sore throats led me to develop CDiff and Ulcerative Colitis shortly after a minor knee op. Lowering inflammation and bloating through diet can significantly help getting off PPIs in my experience.
    • Celiacandme
My gastroenterologist had me incorporate VSL#3 to help with similar issues. It can take a long time to heal. I also found adding kiwi to my diet was soothing to my stomach. For me, it was important to avoid other inflammatory foods. Dairy, corn, etc, were aggravating to my stomach. Bone broth has been another life saver for me over the years. I do know I continue to be sensitive. If I were to have dairy for two days in a row it would be like adding a log to a fire to my sensitive system. I do also have issues with acid reflux though. (Barrett's esophagus) I also stay up after eating. They say to for 3 hours but even 2 is helpful. Keep us posted on how you are. Hope you get some relief soon.
    • Scott Adams
It’s not uncommon for people with celiac disease, especially those undiagnosed for a long time, to experience lasting digestive issues even after going gluten-free. The damage caused by years of inflammation in the small intestine can sometimes lead to other conditions like delayed gastric emptying (gastroparesis), acid reflux, or food intolerances. Staying upright after eating can help with digestion, particularly if reflux is an issue, as lying down can exacerbate symptoms. Greasy or fatty foods can be harder to digest, especially if your digestive system is still healing or if you’ve developed sensitivities. It’s important to discuss these ongoing symptoms with a gastroenterologist, as there might be additional treatments or dietary adjustments that could help. You’re definitely not alone in feeling like your stomach needs extra care, and hearing others’ experiences can be validating. One thing you should do is look at your diet again, and be sure that it is 100% gluten-free. Choline is a supplement that may help you with your symptoms, so consider this as well. Many people with celiac disease, especially those who are in the 0-2 year range of their recovery, have additional food intolerance issues which could be temporary. To figure this out you may need to keep a food diary and do an elimination diet over a few months. Some common food intolerance issues are dairy/casein, eggs, corn, oats, and soy. The good news is that after your gut heals (for most people who are 100% gluten-free this will take several months to two years) you may be able to slowly add some these items back into your diet after the damaged villi heal. Welcome to the forum, @RobHicks! Actually, celiac disease damages the upper part of the small bowel rather than the stomach. It's the part of the intestine right below the stomach. Since being diagnosed, have you had a follow-up endoscopy with biopsy to check to see if there is good healing in the small bowel lining since beginning the gluten free journey? You may have something else going on besides celiac disease. From what you describe, it sounds like your stomach is not emptying properly. Have you presented this problem to a GI doc?
