When I used to go out dancing it was never before 10...sometimes I'd go out closer to midnight. Seems almost strange to me now.

I still go to late shows...the last two movies I went to both started past 10. I think Disturbia started at 10:20. I've always been more of a night owl...I pretty much hate the mornings. I always feel worse in the mornings. I feel better at night.

I think as far as that goes....I'm the opposite of most everyone here.

not quite everyone... I've been a night owl as long as I can remember... probably the number one thing me and me ex-girlfriend argued about actually... she would fall asleep a half hour into a movie at night and then she would get frustrated after she got up early in the morning and I still wanted to sleep for a couple hours...

as for how I feel in the morning vs. night, I usually start off slow for the first half hour in the morning and always wake up with a headache and general muscle aches and tightness... have to stretch every morning real quick too... but after I've eaten, I frequently feel pretty good for a little while, not every day but many days... as the day goes on, I fluctuate, no real consistency.. for example, sometimes after my 3rd meal, I might feel off and out of it and then feel fine after my 4th meal, even though the meals are identical...

I usually have a period of time at night when I feel pretty good too.. probably part of the reason why I stay up late generally... but that fluctuates as well depending on how the day went, what I did, etc.... the one thing that holds true for later in the day and through the evening is that I can go longer between meals at that point, which is the biggest hassle in my daily routine... I absolutely need to eat regularly early in the day, no more than 2, maybe 2.5 hrs tops between meals for my first 4 meals... after that, I can generally go 3-4 hrs if I've eaten alright up to that point...

DEFINITELY do not go to the poop site.....:

Surely you jest ?

Well I guess if anyone named ' SQUATS WITH WOLVES ' SAYS IT'S SO................MUST BE SO

 JUDY YOU ARE A LUNATIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Susie- ratemypoo.com is so heinously funny. You could do a dissertation on SCATOLOGICAL events on that website alone. Holy Crap! And you said va-jay-jay again

SQUATS WITH WOLVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did a 7 week camping trip cross country with 50 kids and 6 counselors and earned the name "Farts like Machine" (prior to celiac diagnosis).

Jin- Sorry you had a bad day, but my God woman you are funny. If nothing else came out of your day it was that you had me ROTFLMAO with "A** CRACKER" That's going to be my new word!

 Well hello, Farts Like Machine! that is a**crackingly funny! And ratemypoo IS heinously funny but it made me sick!

OMG - - - the people we stayed with in Montana had about 20 acres in Hamilton. They owned a HUGE and very beautiful black wolf (dang thing would get on the couch, sometimes  ) and it was like their child. WE took the wolf and the dog skiing twice a day for two hours each time, to exhaust it. (I lost a few pounds on that trip!) So......the only indoor plumbing was a sink and non-working bathtub in the main house (everyone stunk - ew). And we would ski to our very primitive guest cabin at night. So......to go to the bathroom (number ONE) you had to just squat and pee anywhere in the snow. In the beginning of the trip, when having the need to pee in the middle of the night, I was putting layers and boots on to go squat outside.....by the end, just going out to squat with boots and skivs on. (um, you could only go number TWO in the outhouses. but it was so cold that at least they didn't stink)

Here's a sentence for ya... My heinous day at work was pure scatology! It started with the rachelling of my lays and the carlaing of my broccoli!

.

 good work, Donna!

Oh, I see, Racheling applies to good foods but Carlaing applies to gross ones. <_< That's not how it's supposed to work! Carlaing is supposed to be when you show restraint, not when you just don't like something!

 Indeed!

I could NEVER carla a donut...not even if my head was swelling on the first bite, my skin tingling, eyes burning, fire shooting out of my ears...whatever....I'm finishing the donut.

 Yup, I'm with you on that!

Well, today is menstrual day  and I am rather enormously physically miserable.....ugh. signing off, must recline with ibuprofen adn cool compresses and chocolate for the entire day, I think.

After lunch, it's pretty much a crap-shoot ( :D get it?) as to how I'll be the rest of the day.

ROFLMAO!!! :lol::lol::lol:

Okay guys, I tend to be a perfectionist. Adam would say we lived in a model home prior to my being ill. So, as soon as I feel a bit better, off to clean I go! Our bedroom is the finished attic of our house ... probably 1200 sq. ft. ... it's not all one big room, it's like a master suite/hideaway ... I can't wait to get our disgusting bathroom redone, then it will be like a spa! Anyway, I dusted, vacuumed and mopped the whole thing today! Had to take a LOT of breaks ... but it's done (except for the bathroom).

I don't feel good, so the only way I can tell that I feel better at all is because the dust finally got to me ... I hadn't cleaned it in over a month ... and we all know a man won't pick up a vacuum cleaner unless he's told to.

GRUMP 1 Contributor

Yeah...but get this....the customer that wanted me smacked around was a GUY!

He even did a demonstration of how my boss should go about this "beating".

What a LOSER.

It was because it got busy up front so I went up there to open a checkstand. I pulled a bunch of people over and was starting to ring up someones groceries. This rude guy blasted over to me demanding to know where some type of wine was. He was loud and said he was in a hurry and had no time to look through all the wines...he wanted me to direct him to the location of the wine.

I know NOTHING about wine....he could probably find it faster than I could. Regardless...I was BUSY with a long line of customers and he was demanding and rude.

I told him there wasnt much I could do from where I was...I couldnt leave my checkstand...I was helping other people, etc. I could call someone to meet him on the aisle but not sure if anyone was available at that moment...all I could do from where I stood was call someone for assistance.

He said "THEN DO IT!!" "I'M IN A HURRY!!"

I called my boss...she said she knew nothing about wine. "I told her she better go help him cuz he's freaking out on me.

A few minutes later I see him getting all irritated and about throw another fit in the front lobby cuz he didnt want to wait in line....my boss rang him up.

So yeah...I guess he had told her she needed to smack me around. She told him "Ummm....how bout I DONT smack her around...but just talk to her instead."

I really cant stand customers who come into the store and get all demanding like that because they are running late. I would NEVER go into a store acting that way....nobody is sympathetic to people who act that way.

I've had customers come in all freaking out because they are in a hurry and have this WHOLE list of groceries to buy...and are wanting ME to go around doing ALL their shopping for them because they are in too much of a hurry to look for the items they need.

I think its rude. I'm not a "personal shopper" for people who are capable of doing it themselves. Elderly or disabled people...I have no problem assisting them...rude people who are running late...ummm...PUHLEEEEEZ.

People have no manners...I can be very obviously busy with a customer and have another customer step in and totally interupt...asking for my help with something.....not even saying "excuse me" or anything. Those people are alot less likely to get my help.

I know in retail "the customer is always right"....but I will NEVER let a customer get away with being disrespectful to me...or to assume that they can take their anger issues out on me because I'm wearing a store uniform. I DONT THINK SO!

So yeah...sometimes customers get upset with me when I dont cater to their rudeness.

Judy,

ratemypoo is REAL!!!! I only know that because JP thinks it's hilarious and told us about it quite a while ago.

Who is JP.....can't think.......anywho I am one of the simple-minded idiots who can sometimes think that scatological humour is funny (obviously).....but I looked at 6 or 8 pictures on that site and oh my gaaaaaaaaaaaaawd.........wanted to hurl......it's ONE thing to examine your own poop for diagnostic reasons, but a whole other to, um, stick a flag into it, or form it into the shape of a peace sign....

ughhhhhhhhhhhhh - - - - help me - - - :o Just the mere memory of the photos, seared permanently into my dingo-brain, is too much....

I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING SO GROSS IN MY 65 YEARS ON THIS PLANET!!!

Yup, maybe the only worse thing would be - - - rate my vomit? oh please no no no no no......

Hi Grumpasaurus! (I like to add that to the ends of words - - like a frumpy woman = frumpasaurus - ha ha) - - - Good advice, that wretched man should have been kicked out of the store - - but then, you know what might happen - - - LAWSUIT - - -

Carla I am so jealous of your cleaning. I wish I had thoroughly cleaned my bedroom yesterday, when I had tons of pre-menstrual energy......now I must recline and watch my movies in slight, encroaching squalor. I"ll change the sheets, that's about all I can manage.

Now must muster the strength to walk the dingos, I can hear them staring, can you guys hear it? It'll be a slow walk......getting warmer......and then they will leave me alone for the rest of the day whilst I catch up on stack of magazines and watch movies in bed.

HEAVEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh, one thing I will ask God when I get to heaven is - - - why are (WERE - we won't have periods or uteruses in heaven  )some periods COMPLETELY physically debilitating (as in, today, I am quite certain my entire uterus and all other organs ARE going to exit my body some time today - sorry to the menfolk here) and some you hardly notice? oh I have lots of questions for God when I get there.... :)

CarlaB Enthusiast

Oh, change the sheets ... what a chore that is ... I didn't do that, that would entail walking down to the basement to put them in the washer. I'll do that another day! I did make my bed though.

In fact, I had my kids bring up all the cleaning supplies -- the vacuum, a bucket and a rag, Windex and paper towels are already up here, a dust rag -- then I had them put it all away when I was done. :P:lol:

My periods are very consistent ... I don't get those issues ... sorry it's got your down, but at the same time, have a good time laying around all day and not feeling guilty about it! ;)

Yes, the Dingo stare is felt all the way in Ohio! Wow, they sure can stare! This is what I see :mellow:

Well, you and Judy have me laughing my butt off about the ratemypoo website ... still, I'm not going there. You said enough! People forming their poo into shapes? What a bunch of sickos!

I feel better in the mornings. I don't have the joint pain that a lot of you have--my problems all seem to revolve around my digestive system.

I try and make all appointments in the morning, that way I can eat a banana and go. I avoid eating much more than that before going out as much as possible. After lunch, it's pretty much a crap-shoot ( :D get it?) as to how I'll be the rest of the day.

I also have fatigue and some muscle aches that set in mid afternoon, no matter what. So, one vote for mornings :)

Rachel--I'll PM you my email address. I, too, think you're being wise by not putting it all out on the internet. ;)

Patti

it is the same for me once I eat I am pretty much a goner that is why I feel better in the morning when my system is relativly clear . I always try to sched. all my appts. for early in the day. I swear once I have dinner especially I am officially done with my day

AndreaB Contributor

In the process of catching up.......I go one page at a time normally. :P

I have a bunch of appts. this week. Mon- my reg. doc. tues- chiropractor. WEds and appt at my health center . Thurs- I am going in for a mayan abdominal massage. it will be a busy week.

Wow! You will have a busy week. I hope you get some answers on Monday and I'd like an update if you could. If you don't want to post it could you pm me? I'm glad the chiroprator appointments are going well.

I forget have you had the abdominal massage yet? I'm thinking not.....it was something else you had done recently that you liked. Don't remember the name of it....

Here's a sentence for ya... My heinous day at work was pure scatology! It started with the rachelling of my lays and the carlaing of my broccoli! :P

I think you got that backwards Donna. :P

:lol: That is so funny! I've found that the first bite of something is always the best ... so, back when I actually ate sugar, sometimes I would get ONE SPOONFUL of ice cream and eat it. That's all.

I mean, other times I'd eat the whole pint! ;) But it was just as common to just eat one spoonful.

I could never do that! :o:huh:

I don't think I could Carla anything either.....unless I didn't like it. :P

jerseyangel Proficient
How about instead of smacking you around he just gets kicked out of the store. Grump

Very good point, Grump! That one really crossed the line ;)

Who is JP.....can't think.......

oh, one thing I will ask God when I get to heaven is - - - why are (WERE - we won't have periods or uteruses in heaven  )

JP is my oldest son  No, really he's brilliant--seriously. A couple years ago, he found out about that website, evidently, and showed it to us, kind of like--look at THIS! We all got a juvenile laugh out of it--a couple e-w-w's from me and that was it. My kids have always felt free to talk about anything with Mark and me.

I'm so-o-o glad I don't have to deal with all that period-related stuff anymore!

I know exactly what you mean--if Mark and I want to take a walk, we do it before dinner.

The only time I completely trust my system is when it's empty! :P

See, I KNEW You could feel the dingos staring!! :P

OMG - - - well, I ASSUME they're formed into shapes, because how does a long, skinny poop take the shape of a peace sign by itself?

and there were actual poops in heart-shaped boxes called VALENTINE POOPS...egads.......

as you can all see, I am in obvious post-traumatic stress and not recovered from my "viewing" of the scatological site.....

AndreaB Contributor
Ok...I've almost been up 24 hrs. Maybe I should go to bed now. :P

I didnt sleep before going to work...I went in at 1am...I didnt work a full shift...I left at 7. I'm still feeling OK.

I used to get so messed up if I didnt sleep... I've been doing better in this area for some reason. :)

I certainly hope you are sleeping now. I could never stay up that long!

and chocolate for the entire day, I think.

I'm out of my enjoy life chocolate chips and super low on funds. :( I may have to try and figure out how to get some more treats.

I WENT THERE

DON'T ANYONE GO THERE...I AM ACTUALLY SICK TO MY STOMACH...

I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING SO GROSS IN MY 65 YEARS ON THIS PLANET!!!

JUDY! YOU DIDN'T!!! :o I took everyone's advice......not going there.

I don't feel good, so the only way I can tell that I feel better at all is because the dust finally got to me ... I hadn't cleaned it in over a month ... and we all know a man won't pick up a vacuum cleaner unless he's told to.

That sounds like a big task today.

My hubby doesn't hesitate to pick up the vacuum or anything else that needs to be done. He's making lunch right now so I can catch up on here. :D

Enjoy your day as much as possible. :)

jerseyangel Proficient

Please don't, Andrea! Nothing to see there. :P

Didn't Bev post some pics from there on the Tickle Me Elbo thread? Maybe it was from somewhere else--it was in that vein, though--but pretty tame.

I love those Enjoy Life Chips--I'd never been able to find them locally, and didn't want to send away for them. I was very surprised to find them at Wegman's.

The Nestle's were making me sick, so I was without chocolate there for a while :o

Hope you can replenish your supply soon :D

AndreaB Contributor

Bev,

I forgot to comment on the full moon thing....

I'll have to start keeping that in mind to see if T's behaviour is always worse around that time.

She has never been as bad as she's been this week though. I hope she's on the upward swing now.

CarlaB Enthusiast

Andrea, PM me your address and I'll mail you $5. I can't have chocolate, but have money. You have no money, but can have chocolate. We have to fix this!! :P:lol:

Adam almost always cooks ... if it's time to eat, he just fixes the food. It wasn't like this till I was sick. He couldn't cook ANYTHING before I got sick. But he doesn't even notice dirt ... I have to ask him to vacuum.

Now cooking is very helpful! I don't mind cooking so much.....I hate the dishes. I put absolutely everything I possibly can in the dishwasher. If it can't go in and Mitch is home he'll wash them, otherwise I do, but sometimes they wait an extra day.

I'm heading out for chocolate as soon as I get the little guy down for a nap. We have money for that, just not necessarily the Coconut Bliss that we like to have with it.....that's a frozen treat that we can have. :P

Must call my brother too so I can give everyone an update on how he's doing.

 (jealous face)

Well I guess I have got to git me summa those, too!

Today what I need is a gorgeous, soothing and erudite man (one of those "THROWS," Judy and Robbin? :P ) to go to Whole Foods, get an Amy's pizza and organic cherries, cook the pizza for me, make some steamed veggies, wipe my brow with a cool compress, entertain me with amusing anecdotes, after that barbecue some steak and veggies, and then fan me and feed me ice cream by the spoonful.

And then he needs to go away, so I can enjoy my movies in solitude.

Dingos are walked, spent, quiet, and freshly bathed (a partial bath of the underbellies and feet to remove orchard mud). No more staring noise here. Mommy is pleased.

Andrea - - - I am wondering about Talitha.....could she just have a strong-willed personality, that might not have that much to do with food/intolerances etc? I don't know the level of her fits.....I know that I am such a different person with gluten and processed foods removal.......but I also know that I have a HUGE personality and overactive brain that cannot be reigned in, even WITHOUT the poisons...... :P

I once briefly dated a guy from a very small town......we hung out for a couple of months, finding an attraction but in the end, not enough in common.....he was a bit on the shallow side, but still a nice guy.....so the most brilliant thing he ever said to me, on our very polite parting, was,

"your personality is too big for me, and too big for Hollister......"

:lol: It was one of my most favorite parting lines.....he was fourth generation in that town, and never leaving........I knew I would go mad there.....

AndreaB Contributor

You and the erudite? Is that what you said?:lol:

She is very strong willed. Her moodiness is incredible! She totally attacked Micah twice this week. He still have the scratches on his face which includes his eyelid and under the eye. I was weeding outside when she attacked him once. She gets mad so easily. I'm sure hoping that even a small part of this is metals and will be better. The second time was when I was talking to Patti a couple days ago.

She's attacked me in stores because I would sometimes take over pushing the cart. She wanted me to pull it. She likes being in control and loses it when she's not. Not much in the way of discipline seems to work with her. I know my inconsistency has caused some of this, hopefully not all though. :( She loses it if she gets a tiny drop of water on her clothes or thinks your hands weren't completely dry when you touch her. She wasn't like this when she was under 2.

On the positive side.....we've had a good day today. She didn't like the way I was acting yesterday (I was being mean like her). She told me last night she'd try to be better. It's just this last week that was so bad.....worse than normal.

Do the skin care products that give you a rash list wheat as an ingredient or are you assuming from your reaction that they contain gluten? It is possible that not only do you have celiac disease, which is not an allergy but an autoimmune disorder, but that you also have a wheat allergy.
    • allis
Thank you, I’m very happy to be here!! Yes, lately I get rashes and itching when I accidentally use topical skin products with gluten in them. I got a bad rash around my hairline after unknowingly using glutenous hairspray, and a near-full-body rash with a sea salt spray that I guess I rinsed off insufficiently in the shower. Neither looked like typical dermatitis herpetiformis to me based on the posts I’ve read here—both were just large patches, red and slightly raised, with no blisters to speak of. At least yet. The sea salt spray was used yesterday and I noticed the itching this morning, with the rash forming obviously by this afternoon and evening.
    • Sarah Marie
Thanks so much for your thorough reply! I was able to schedule with the local pediatric gastroenterologist who specializes in celiac but we have to wait 3 months to see her.
    • trents
Sorry, meant to type "or dermatitis herpetiformis for short". What? Every time I try it, the abbreviation for this skin condition is converted to the full length term. I'm trying to type "D" followed by "H".
    • trents
Welcome to the forum, allis! By "skin response to gluten products" are you saying you develop a rash when you use lotions, creams, shampoos, etc. that contain gluten? One of the classical symptoms of celiac disease is a skin rash known as dermatitis herpetiformis or "dermatitis herpetiformis" for short. Celiac disease is the only known cause for dermatitis herpetiformis. It has a distinct appearance. It has little blisters or pustules in the bumps. Does this sound like what you experience? Is so, it might be possible to get a punch biopsy done when you are having an outbreak. This would be an alternative to eating gluten. If your skin biopsy was positive for dermatitis herpetiformis you could be diagnosed with celiac disease on that basis alone. Apart from that, I know of no other way to get a diagnosis apart from returning to eating gluten for a period of weeks.
