Dear Bev,

I love your Spice Girl names! I especially like your newest idea for Carla! Minxie Spice fits her well! I like Rinne's too! :) Amazon Spice would also suit her!

I am so glad someone besides me still reads classic literature! I named our dog D'artagnan, after the hero in The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas. People have no idea where it came from! What is it with people no longer reading Shakespeare and Bronte? Wuthering Heights was excellent.

It really is a tragedy that most high schools do not give us the opportunity to learn this marvelous literature. If I had not been home schooled the last year-and-a-half of high school, I never would have gotten the chance to explore such wonderful writers as Amy Tan, Joseph Conrad, and Stephen Crane.

I think it is great you and Laura made your plans for the future. We should all make lists of what we are going to do upon being well! That will give us inspiration to stick with our treatments when we need it! In case frustration sets in, it is a good thing to keep around. I am going to start on my list, too!

The pain pills are something I am cautious of. I do not tolerate medications in general very well. I went through my gallbladder surgery without any. A lot of people are surprised about that. Those things are very addictive. I am glad I did not take them. I am in pain all the time now, but just tough it out, because I do not trust doctors and their pills.

Dear Patti,

Do not worry. Moving is an em :( otional experience. There are memories where you are now. It makes sense that you are struggling with it. This is not always an easy thing to do.

Dear Rachel, tom, and Carla,

I am so glad you all got everything straightened out! :) I was so worried. I cannot stand it when people do not get along. Rachelville is our happy place. With all of the discord, it was becoming a sad place. :( This is the only place I can go to as an escape from all of the turmoil in the world! It could very well be that Mars/Venus thing!

Dear Carla,

Is Morgan enjoying her new job? I am not surprised that no one has asked for a gluten-free menu yet. That is not commonplace right now. I never have heard of the restaurant your daughter is working at. Is it in Indiana or Ohio?

Dear Susie,

I am so glad you will stay in Rachelville! We did not want to have to restrain you! The dingos are being protected by you? I thought it was the other way around. Our dog is cute, but he is not very brave. Let's just say thank God we have guns!

I worry Paris Hilton could have a breakdown as well. She has been so sheltered. It would scare her to death having to stay in jail. I really do not think she could handle it. House arrest is not bad when you live in a mansion, though. They should force her to do her house arrest in an apartment. That would drive her nuts! :P

I am sorry about your glutening! Talk about scatological terror! :( That is so awful that you got so sick. It could be a delayed reaction. I normally have an immediate reaction, but there are times where it took up to twelve hours to hurt me.

Dear Rinne,

I think Amazon Spice would be great for you as well! We are all like Amazons here. Rachelvillians are strong! Any of us can tackle challenges. Everyone here is a fighter for the greater good!

When you said doctors ruin people's lives, you really struck a chord with me. I literally had this happen. One lousy physician is all it takes. What is so absurd is, a doctor will believe anything someone else writes, just because the other person is a doctor! They never consider the fact that the doctor who wrote that is an idiot.

After that, every doctor I saw was automatically convinced I was crazy, just because they read what she wrote. Many of thems already had their minds made up when the walked in the room. The misery it has caused me is difficult to describe.

There is a hatred for these people deep inside of me. No one should have to go through the Hell I experienced.

Dear Rachel,

Doctors are so stupid about pills! They do hand them out like candy! My last doctor kept giving me pills. I was so tired of being on them! Pills normally did one of three things: did not work, made me worse, or made me incredibly drowsy.

I am still stuck on an anti-depressant due to the morons up at I.U. Med sticking me on it six years ago! I worry I will never be able to get off of it! You cannot take these things, then try to go cold turkey. People have flipped out and committed suicide from that. The last time I was weaned off of an anti-depressant, I still had withdrawal!

I too, feel like I am not the same person I was before my illness took hold. I have become more spiritual. Things are seen differently now. All of the experiences are now making sense. God had a message he was sending. I am so glad we all are having this opportunity to share, learn and grow together!

I remember how you started out being called Candy Spice. You were talking about being tempted by all of the food you could not eat, and how hard it was. You made a comment saying how you could bet that no matter what grocery store you worked at, you would still be stuck working in the candy aisles!:P I can relate! That is such a frustrating situation!

Dear Laura,

I am so happy for you! HUGS! It is about time you got some answers! We knew something would turn up! You are not feeling so poorly for no reason! Babesia is nasty. So is Ehrlichia. Now that you know the trouble, you will begin treatment! :)

Your plans for wellness sound wonderful! We will be excited as you when you have a baby! It would be neat if you and Bev ended up having babies at the same time! The future is going to be a wild ride for us all! We are going to live, baby!

Dear Donna,

I love your new avatar! It is so pretty! When did you paint that one? Your green toe nails are so pretty with your fuzzy pink slippers! My toe nails are still pink for now. That was so funny, Dippy Spice!

Dear Julie,

Let's see...you still need a cool name. English Spice works! You could also go by Jules Spice. That is cute! What do you think?

Dear Judy,

It is nice to see you pop in! We love you too, Judy! Rachelville would not be the same if you were not here! Everyone plays an important role! HUGS!

Dear Mia,

I agree that our online family is so important! We really love everyone as much as if they were blood relatives! Actually, I definitely love you guys way more than blood relatives! I have come to realize recently that all of my favorite relatives are not blood related. Gee, it cannot possibly be my family!

Those toe nails sound pretty! I have not painted mine again yet! It certainly makes me feel better when I do something like that, too! I will be ecstatic if I get my hair dyed today. I hate feeling this way. I do not feel like myself if my hair is not all black!

Dear Andrea,

Hello Mama Spice! The new avatar is great! The children are so beautiful! You must be proud! I know I would be!

Wow, that is a lot of wildlife around! It also means a lot of ticks! That is not a pleasant thought! We have deer around here as well. You have to be careful, because they come out of nowhere!

Dear tom,

I am so glad you got to play baseball! I am a die-hard Yankees fan! Donnie Baseball is from my hometown! I am glad going off of the soy is helping! Many people find they develop other intolerances after they have been on the gluten-free diet a while. I do not know why. That is just how it works out!

Did you enjoy the shuttle launch? I did not get to watch it. I know there were problems with it previously. They were also nervous about the slight possibility of thunderstorms. Hopefully, it went smoothly.

I have read some very interesting things regarding Candida in my research. Some people may need to stay on the diet for only weeks, while others months or years. The least amount of time for the diet was three weeks, while the most was three years. I am not absolutely certain where I read it, due to all of the books I have read. I think it was "The Yeast Syndrome" by Dr. John Parks Trowbridge and Dr. Morton Walker.

I think one of the best things to determine whether or not you have yeast, and how bad it is will be the patient's history. I have a very strong history of all kinds of nasty things that trigger it. However, other issues are a possibility with me as well. Lyme and Babesia are very likely considering the fact I used to go out in the woods all of the time. Mercury poisoning from fish is another possibility.

You do not have to have a Spice name. I wanted to paint Charlie's toe nails Lyme Green, but Carla said no! I was so disappointed! Although, I think Charlie's wife might have found it amusing! It would have been fun!

Dear Everyone,

I forgot to tell you about the Lyme research I did the other day. I decided to check on cases in Indiana. You will not believe what I found out! I found a county-by-county account of it from 1990-1999. During that time, there were 177 reported cases of Lyme in our state.

Most counties only had one or two cases, though. However there was one who had many more than all of the others: Vanderburgh! Guess where I live? There was only one other county that had 10 cases, but still much fewer than this county! I wonder why we had such a high rate of Lyme while everyone else does not?

Sincerely,

Jin

Ok I woke up with a bug up my butt today its reallly early and I have already made and packaged gluten free brownies and choclate chip cookies for my friend who just had a baby. Cleaned my kitchen, and done my laundry. I know in like an hour i will be ready for bed!!

Susan-

So sorry about the glutening!!! IT sounds very bad and maybe worse because the bread is so yummy. I can't remember besides gluten do you have any other intolerances? IF you keep saying nice things about me you are gonna become my favorite rachelville resident and I would hate to participate in favortism. (so everyone else pretend you didn't read that and only me and my dingo girl will know about it)

Oh ok so one of my major issues is motility, and digestive problems- eating and having the food go no where so my doc is always trying to do weird research for me and find new things to help me that don't involve meds becasue I can't handle them. SO in addition to going to this new guy for the lyme and mercury he wanted me go to this other guy for motility. The guy is a physical therapist but much more than that. SO my doctor talked to him on thursday about my situation and he made room to see me Friday (yesturday- i love fast turn around time) .

It was a really interesting (in agood way rachel) experience. He works with alot of different methods including these special lasers from russia. ( very star trek-ish) So the session was like an hour and after we talked and basically he said to me that he knows I go to my doctor becasue you go to some docs and they only give you meds and then you go to other who will only give you supplements and my docotr does both- he focuses on the individual needs. And thats what he does he is trained in chiropractic care, cranio sacral massage, etc, etc. all the things I have tried- but what he does is combine these methods to suit the individual- I LOVED this analogy and this idea. WE agreed him, my doc and me to do 4 sessions he dosen't think it will cure me by nay means in thta little amount of time but he thinks by then I will ahve an idea if it will be ebneficial to me. He dosen't want to waste my time or money- I loved this idea too!!!

So next week is my official "trial" week Monday, WEdnesday and FRiday I am going to go to him- which is alot of appointments plus I have an appt. at my health center thursday but I am kind of hyped for it. And I like that by the ened of next week I will know if it will help me and not have to wait months to see. Ok thats the story this is more too it but this guy is crazy and I really liked him.

Thats my story....but Bev...I think you're in alot more pain than what I'm dealing with...my body doesnt hurt much...its only my head. I think its a personal decision of what will work for you or not.

I get pain. I usually can't pinpoint it, it's kind of like all over. I know I feel it in my back because I start slouching, that's the first sign it's coming on. I usually stand up very straight.

I get some joint pain and my head feels like there's too much in my skull.

I don't take anything for it, but I don't blame those who do. I like feeling what's going on ... well, like isn't the right word ... I take aspirin for my braces when they change the wire, but they only have had to do that twice because of the type of braces I have and they never have to "tighten" them (they're self-ligating).

Some days, when it's real bad, I do whine some. ;)

OMG- I love Tenacious Spice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Susie- Sorry about the glutening. I react to Terra Chips (which flavor?) so I wouldn't be surprosed if it was them and not the bread. But I'm sorry you feel like Wilted Spice (maybe you should be Scatological Spice :P ). Anyway- I hope you feel better! SOON

Thanks all for weighing in on pain meds- Andrea I said the same thing to Kurt yesterday- that I worry that since they take away the pain you can overdo it. I'm going to make an appt to see my physiatrist for pain management.

I know I've mentioned it before, but if you don't know what a physiatrist is, you must as they rockl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They deal mostly with muscular/skeletal issues but they treat the WHOLE patient. It's a MD degree, but it's an amazing specialty.

When i went in back in 2005 after my ski accident we were talking about pain and my symptoms and the doctor looked at me and said, "What are you doing that makes you happy right now?" I almost dropped dead of shock!!!!!!

Usually a physiatrists first answer is PT (I got the Burrascano guidelines on PT to show him) so maybe that would help. Acupuncture, therapeutic massage, meditation? I just know that on my worst days like yesterday I am absolutely non-functional because of the pain :(

So much has said about what a family we've become and I feel that way too. It was funny, last night I was thinking if I won a million dollars, what would I do? I decided that I would take all of us on a luxurious spa vacation where we could swim with dolphins, bask in the sun, we could eat rinne bars all day, get massages, eat like pigs, swim in the warm sea and finally meet in person!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh yeah- and drink good cocktails!

With that said, JUDY needs a Spice name. I'm thinking my Aunt Judy is SPUNKY SPICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it possible or impossible for a random unknown celiac (Celiac X perhaps?) to go gluten-free, discover that he/she has candida overgrowth, take the usual anti-candida measures, and in time become healthy again?

Definately possible. If candida was caused by the stress on the immune system of celiac disease, then the candida can be treated. Once treated, there should be no more problem with it. If it's ongoing, then there's most likely some other problem other than the celiac.

Dear Mia,

I love Temperance Spice for Carla! :) It fits her! She is so good about restraining herself! Sometimes I do well, other times not! There are times where I go nuts, and other times I am really in control of my unhealthy cravings. I love Tenacious Spice for Rachel, too!

This doctor you saw sounds fascinating! He does all of those things? How awesome is that? I really think he can help you! We will all be anxious to hear about your appointments next week.

Dear Judy,

Thank you for the compliments! We are so glad you are here! Rachelville is a wonderful place. You never feel alone like you do not belong. I always had felt that way before!

Dear Bev,

I love Scat Spice for Susie! Spunky Spice is great for Judy! That is cute! Don't you just love aliteration? It is so fun to use!

That spa trip would be nice! God knows we could use it! We all deserve it too! It is like if I won the lottery, it would be like "Screw the relatives! Me and my Rachelville peeps are going to share the wealth! See you suckas!" If you win, you know we will hold you to it, right?

Dear Carla,

You got to have ice cream, then popcorn, then free Shrek! :) That sounds great! I bet that was fun! Today you get to see George! Now that is a good day!

Yes indeed, we really are a family!!!

And, yes to tenacious spice for Rachel! And, I LOVE Spunky Spice for Judy! :P

Rachel - I didn't have to stop my supplements for the second session...only the first.

I hope I at least get to meet Dr. Amy today while I'm there. I MAY consider seeing her next time if I can get in, but I also hate to take up a slot for someone who may really NEED it.

In the end I never FOUND these Dr.'s....its more like they found me. I feel like I've just been guided this whole time....yeah I do alot of "homework"....but mostly I know I'll be OK because there has been *someone* steering me in the right direction from the start.

Yeah, I've been guided too...guided to this thread, and what are the odds that "someone" from my area would be a participant and would be able to give me the names of some great doctors who would end up helping me as much as they helped her!

So yeah....there was a time when I was "Dubious Spice".....about *everything*. I'm sure some of you just wanted to smack me right out of my denial.

Well it never go to the point of relocation thoughts...but yeah I think we all accepted it long before you did in your case.:P

LOL thx but I'll be fine w/out a Spice Girls-style name. Hehehhehe

There can be Spice Guys too!!!

Mice and deer and rats oh my!

Forgot to mention we've seen 3 deer within a block of us in the last week or two.

:o

So while my deft maneuver (D'oh!) illuminated the depth of solidarity in Rachelville,

I'm left wondering whether my basic premise is universally false.

I'm asking for all of your opinions (no need to provide reasons or substantiation) on the following scenario. I've read enough of most of the regulars' posts to trust your opinions.

One thing I do ask is that u disregard your personal health history.

Is it possible or impossible for a random unknown celiac (Celiac X perhaps?) to go gluten-free, discover that he/she has candida overgrowth, take the usual anti-candida measures, and in time become healthy again?

Oh and Laura - Congrats again! I think I haven't been here long enough to appreciate the significance at first.

 Yes, but you are included in the solidarity too.

On your scenario...are you talking about healthy as in no candida or healthy as in no Celiac? I think once Celiac is triggered, always a Celiac. Gluten intolerance would be a different issue in my mind...I think if it's non-celiac gluten intolerance one could conceivably be free from it one day especially if it were caused by candida or any other issue. But, having said that...I know diddly squat about it all cuz my brain can't retain info very well these days. :P:lol:

I forgot everything. I have had the WORST glutening - - - just had among the most noxious diarrhea ever - - - delayed reaction, I think.

Wow, the bread sounds heavenly, but so sorry you had such a violent reaction...hope it wasn't the bread.

I love your new avatar! It is so pretty! When did you paint that one? Your green toe nails are so pretty with your fuzzy pink slippers! My toe nails are still pink for now. That was so funny, Dippy Spice!

:o about the lyme research! Yikes. I also visited Indiana, but that was when I was 18, so LONNNNGGGGG time ago. Hum, painted that picture somewhere around 1999 or so...another made up thing. I saw a picture of a painting in the Coldwater Creek catalog and sort of based it on that. :P

Ok I woke up with a bug up my butt today its reallly early and I have already made and packaged gluten free brownies and choclate chip cookies for my friend who just had a baby. Cleaned my kitchen, and done my laundry. I know in like an hour i will be ready for bed!!

 the above quoted paragraph just made me smile! Sounds a lot like I USED to be. :P

Dear Donna,

I was truly shocked about the Lyme here! Dad says it is probably because we are by the river. All I know is, that makes the likelihood of contracting it much better for me, wouldn't you say? Your painting is so nice! The inspiration came from a Coldwater Creek Catalog? Inspiration certainly comes from strange things sometimes for me! With songs, they will just start going in my head, and I have to hurry and write them down!

Many people find they develop other intolerances after they have been on the gluten-free diet a while. I do not know why. That is just how it works out!

I think I know why. It starts w/ the common leaky gut. Healthy intestinal walls have tinier spaces between cells. When those spaces expand, there's room for partially digested food particles to sneak thru to the bloodstream.

Once there, everybody's like "hey who's the new guy" and antibodies are made to protect against the foreign invader. If fully digested before getting to the bloodstream, it's same old same old, but the leaky gut let a different molecule thru.

It's even why the foods eaten most often will be most likely to have this 'allergy'/sensitivity created. Bummer.

I think it's how corn became a problem for me.

Anyway - that's the story I've heard and I think it's pretty widely accepted.

I was diagnosed w/ yeast/candida in Jun05.

Dear tom,

That is what I understand happens with Candida. Leaky-Gut is extremely common with it. How about Celiac, though?

I suppose the villi being destroyed could eventually cause tears in the intestine. That might lead to Leaky-Gut. I have done a lot of research on this, so what you said about it sounds exactly like what I have read. It makes sense to me!

I like the way you put it! It is so funny! "Hey, who's the new guy?" That probably is what happens. The body cells communicate somehow.

The sensitivities quickly become a major bummer. Sometimes high carb foods irritate my stomach if I eat too much. That tends to be common with Candida. However, I know that there is a long way to go before I am in the clear with that. I have a pretty severe case, but not as bad as Lisa.

I knew bball meant basketball! Why did I put that? I am going stupid! Talk about a serious case of the duhs!

I was always a big Bulls fan! Michael Jordan is my favorite, even though he is retired now!

Dear Bev,

Do not feel bad! I have done the same thing where my mind goes blank when I get ready to post. One lousy second makes everything dingo! I am like "OMG! I am losing my mind! I have Alzheimer's at 24!" What am I going to do? It is scary!

Trying to wake up to go to a graduation party at 2 and Kurt and i are supposed to have a date tonight but I'm so sleepy

Pain meds could do that......but so can lyme.

I know what you're talking about with replies. I hit quote when I'm trying to catch up and then I forget exactly what in the post I wanted to reply to.

I need to go play with Seth but now he's got his eyes closed laying on the couch.......he's only been up 2 hours.

Rachel,

I'm going to be dying here waiting for news of your appointment tomorrow.......which I think you said you won't be able to do until later in the day.

Donna,

I agree, try to see Dr. Amy. I read a blip on one of the lyme aware pages (forget the exact name, info you guys have posted though) where it talked of how much better ART is for testing intolerances then ELISA. Hoping to be able to do that at some point.

GOOD LUCK TOMORROW RACHEL WITH YOU APT WITH DR AMY

LOOKING FORWARD TO HEARING ABOUT IT

JUDY

HI ALL

Well I did see 2 ppl write "baseball"!

Good luck w/ all the upcoming appts!

Wow mia - 4 or 5 in 1 week?! Sounds like that deserves a "yay!"

Jin,

I've been under the impression that the untreated celiac's gut battleground's collateral damage CAN be the sole cause of leaky gut, but more often than not, there's also candida overgrowth. So that clouds up the issue of causation.

But it somehow doesn't feel right to just blame candida's burrowing rhizoids. Maybe it's the microscope pics I've seen where there's no sign of a burrowing root - just the space between cells.

And my understanding is that the roots are FAR larger than the spaces.

Then again, it may be solely candida-caused and unrelated to the rhizoids.

I like saying "rhizoids". Maybe cuz it sounds like a space villian or maybe just the Z in the middle - like shazam or bizarre.

Question.....IF I had candida would I have any type of reaction after not eating for a day?

I am sorry about your glutening! Talk about scatological terror! That is so awful that you got so sick. It could be a delayed reaction. I normally have an immediate reaction, but there are times where it took up to twelve hours to hurt me.

thanks cutie.

Jin said SCATOLOGICAL TERROR  and that is my new favorite thing.

Maybe carla should be temperance spice- because she has such good self restraint

hmmm....more like Sensible Spice, I am thinking. But then - - she has some other oxymoronic glamorous qualities......

I do like tenacious Spice for Rachel. fits well. or even WARRIOR SPICE!

Scat Spice??? ha ha, pretty good.

 This sounds like heaven! There is that fabulous gluten-free Dude Ranch in Wyoming, my dream to visit - - three weeks out of the year they're totally gluten-free as they have a Celiac daughter. Of course, all you Lymies will never leave the confines of the Lodge due to Tick Terror......so then - - - let's go on a GLUTEN-FREE CRUISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yay!

Spunky Spice for Judy. Of course, as we have just learned on our Silly Yak thread, "spunky" has an ENTIRELY different and repugnant meaning in England.....egads........

Ugh bummer on the bread. But I always enjoy a well-placed "usurious".

 As do I. Um, I think I was one of the ones who said baseball, oops, thank God because I loathe baseball, but basketball is really quite tolerable and in fact can border on the enjoyable at times. ;) JUST DO NOT TALK ABOUT FOOTBALL........

 (well, I"m over it now but last year the dear Amazons of Rachelville helped me put a hex on a certain team which, to my extraordinary titillation, resulted in their WORST LOSING SEASON in 80 years, hence severely damaging (but without inflicting actual direct injury) my season-ticket-holding ex-boyfriend-not-quite-fiance  [insert barking mad, devil-horned diabolical winky face here - - MOO HOOO HOO HAA HAAA HAAA HA]

BTW glad all is smoothed over in Rville and our Manly Spice has shown himself to be a fierce and intrepid interloper to our fair Amazonian dwelling. ;) We do like the testosterone and the courage. Oh, and susie likes his word usage and appreciate of same. ;)

I like saying "rhizoids". Maybe cuz it sounds like a space villian or maybe just the Z in the middle - like shazam or bizarre.

The intestinal tract can be as long as twenty-two feet long, so intestinal damage may be out of the reach of endoscopy tools.  Some people have had more success with capsule endoscopy, but this method cannot take biopsies.

@Jack Common, It's possible that your antibiotic for giardiasis has caused thiamine deficiency.   https://hormonesmatter.com/metronidazole-toxicity-thiamine-deficiency-wernickes-encephalopathy/ And... Thiamine and benfotiamine: Focus on their therapeutic potential https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10682628/ For clarification, the weight of your slice of bread is not equal to the amount of gluten in it.   Gluten helps form those big holes in breads, so breads like thick chewy pizza crust and artisan breads contain more gluten than cakes and cookies.

Sorry about that link.  It was meant for a different post.   Do consider taking high dose Vitamin D in order to get your level up to around 80 nm/l quickly.   This is the level where Vitamin D can properly work like a hormone and can improve the immune system and lower inflammation.  It makes a big difference.   I took high dose Vitamin D and really improved quickly.  I ate Vitamin D supplements throughout the day like m&ms.  My body craved them.  Very strange, I know, but it worked.   Before you have surgery, you really need to improve your vitamins and minerals.  Vitamins A and D, Vitamin C and Niacin are extremely important to skin health and repair.  Without these, the body does not repair itself neatly.  I've got a scar worthy of a horror movie.  My doctors were clueless about nutritional deficiencies. A sublingual Vitamin B12 supplement will work better for boosting levels.  Tablets or liquid drops in the mouth are easily absorbed directly into the blood stream.   Do bear in mind that about half of Celiac people react to the protein in dairy, Casein, the same as they react to gluten because segments of the protein in Casein resembles segments of the protein Gluten.  Some people lose the ability to produce lactase, the enzyme that digests Lactose, the sugar in dairy, as they age.  Others lose the ability to produce lactase because the intestinal Villi become damaged during the autoimmune response against gluten, and damaged chili can't produce lactase.   Do try Benfotiamine.  It has been shown to improve gastrointestinal health and neuropathy. Keep us posted on your progress!

Thanks sending me additional links including how to test for thiamine deficiency. With regards to your first link, I wasn't diagnosed with giardiasis and I didn't take antibiotic for it. I try to generally stay away from antibiotic unless absolutely necessary as it might affect gut health. For treating phimosis, the doctor didn't give me antibiotics. I need to have a circumcision surgery which I haven't got around to schedule it.

I'm not vegan, just vegetarian. I consume dairy but not egg. So I have started including some Vitamin D fortified milk as well as a multivitamin with 2000 IU daily. For Vitamin B12, like you said it's very difficult to get it from just vegetarian sources and have started consuming Vitamin B Complex daily. My PCP was worried when my Vitamin D result came out as It was 3.7 ng/ml last year. He said that being low for a lengthy time could have done some damage to the body over the years. Now, though Vitamin D level has improved after the supplements, I'm not sure if the neurological damage has already been done. I'll continue including the supplements and see if my symptoms improve. I'll also get tested for celiac to see if I need to be in gluten-free diet.
