Can't be too much of a Tom Clancy fan because I don't think it can ever be CLEAR and present danger with me!

:lol: Dona - my thoughts (thoughts? what thoughts? ) exactly - - I could not understand Tom Clancy if you held a gun to my head and I read it/watched it 50 times.......utterly non-followable, and my brain is pretty darned clear now!

Love your cute photos and the slightly scared look on your face. :P

OK...I have to admit that I dont think I'm Lymified or Herxified right now...I think I'm just plain Stupified.

HELP!!

 Well it is a sad state of affairs when the President doesn't even know what's going on here.....Rachel! Lymerdida Guadalupe!!! (cry for help, as Rinne said, in this case)......please, you might be frying your brain by Rachelling the Spiceship!!

Don't look to me. I'm clear minded, although incredibly distracted, and I still don't know all these new words.

I know, trouble, residents not able to keep up with the new lingo. (I think there is really just ONE culprit to blame for this, eh Tom? ;)) oh and possibly our clever Jin and Donna, with her new and excellent words.

Just SO much to read these days....I can't keep up but I am thinking of all of you and just trying to follow along as best I can!

Bev - spirochete - - -LOVE that word. so much fun to say!!!!!

Hallooooooo everyone!! just a drive-by....I am cleaning out my closet. VERY depressing....never in my life have I had a box for SKINNY clothes :( .....some things I am just giving away as will never look good as a size 2 again (and will never get there anyway)......guess I'm the only one in Rville not struggling to LOSE 10 pounds?????? I HATE IT!!!!!!

I think I might be slightly menstrual, as am feelign just a modicum of rage at not being emaciated any more.

Got it! Thanks Laura!

I tried to schedule for Tuesday but they had nothing till Thursday!

I told her I thought Thurs. was too late in the week for a blooddraw??

She said nope...just Friday.

Anyways...I tried. :(

Well shucks! Someday it will happen. :P

Hey what's up people

Went to my new doctor today. She seems real great. She asked me lots of questions. Want me to postpone my dentist for even more longer time. My next appt. was July 12 but she want's it to be postpone for later than that.

She did some diagnosis test on me for body mass and weight. Water weight and such. Everything real low. Especially fat mass it's 9.3%. It should be 21-33%. sssooo low huh?

She then did some muscle testing on me. Says I need L- Glutimine. So I bought this and wants me to take 2 round teaspoons a day. I hate the taste and it makes my mouth dry.

She also says I need zinc. But she doesn't want to overburden my body right now so I will wait on that. Zinc also makes my mouth dry. She says I could have undigested food because of zinc difficiency. Since I guess zinc works with the stomach acids.

She also has me on cod liver oil. Peach flavor.mmmmm. I tablespoon a day.

Metagest I suppose a stomach enzyme to digest my food. I hope no mold in it though. It is betaine HCI and pepsin(porcine). Would anyone know if there is mold in this? 1 in morning, 2 lunch, 3 dinner time.

Also LactoFlamX, this is lactobacillus plantarum, 18 billion live organisms. 3x a day in mouth not swallowed.

I hope I do okay with all of these things and my body can tolerate it. She wants to see me on Monday of next week to find out how I am doing.

Any input on what you think on this would be great! 2 things I am skeptical about are the metagest and lactoflamx.

SHe also says she believes I have, bugs, parasites, dysbiosis, leaky gut and of course mercury. This is not surprising to me. She knows her stuff though it seems. I hope soo.

Right now she is my only hope.

She says my immune system is completely shot and we need to get my intestines working and back on track. Without them working properly there is no way of getting better.

She will be testing me for bugs, parasites and amino acid deficiencies. It will be through urine.

Oh by the way I saw this lady their that had her feet in a spa. UUgghh the water looked like swamp water. It was sssoooo grossss.

Well, briefly (I hope), it's dedicating myself to doing every single possible thing I can to prevent any slide 'back in the hole'. In '05 I took the newfound bliss & brainpower for granted.

....

A lifetime project for many of us. :)

....

Seriously, I think my brain would be struggling to decipher these things on a "normal" day  ...but yeah...I'm really still in the midst of dongo'ing everything...the last coffee e/SpiceShip incident has had lingering effects.

...

:o:lol:

Rachel, much excellent scientificness on mercury, thanks.

.....

I also had compatibility testing....important test....if I remember correctly its not covered by insurance...I think it was around $250-$300.

Can you say anything more about why it is important? I know they offer the test at my dentists but I haven't done it. I have four fillings I need to have out but given everything else I've been putting it off.

Ok...since I'm on vacation this week....I've done something I've wanted to do for a LONG time now.

......

I do want to speak to him in person....but I dont know if I can do it w/out getting very emotional. :(

I'm really glad that you felt up to doing this Rachel. I wonder about writing a letter since you have become so skilled at expressing yourself on paper. :)

I know I would probably have gotten emotional if I had actually talked to Dr. Huffy.

I think I was the one that mentioned emailed the Blaylock articles. Jin, you're email button says private so pm me your email address.

Thanks Andrea. :) How did the afternoon go with Talitha?

....

I don't see astrology or religion putting a thin-screen display on anyone's desk or giving me the means to be 800 miles away in < 2hrs on Wed.

.....

No, but just because science does that doesn't make it an absolute, as in there are absolute truths about the nature of reality that arise through scientific experimentation.

My point about Royal Raymond Rife, and by the way there are treatments for Lyme that come from the machines he developed, is that he was taking the science of medicine in a whole other direction and was showing positive results which were initially supported. It was the threat that he created to the cancer industry that resulted in his persecution and trial.

The article Andrea posted about the Rockefellers showed how the commercialization of health care has resulted in a system that treats symptoms and profits from continued illness.

This is what I mean by bias in science.

got my results I have celiac tested real high

How are you? :) As others have said this is a great resource and though it is not easy to deal with the diet initially it gets easier and feeling better is worth the price.

Sure, that'd be great! Thanks...I saw your post after my marathon reply post.

Donna, yet another adorable photo.

Laura, nice to see you and yes I'd like a copy too if it is easy for you to do. :)

dlp252 Apprentice

Wow Lisa, sounds like a good appointment! I'm glad she is waiting for some of the stuff and not having you take it all at once!

I don't know about the enzymes...I'm leary of them all, but that's just me. :P The one's I was taking didn't seem to hurt me, at least I didn't have immediate reactions to them, but I don't know in the long run what they were doing...they didn't test well in ART so I took that and ran with it. :P

I'm glad she's postponing your next removal...its a smart decsion. Get your body ready first. :)

Sounds like everything went well.

She did some diagnosis test on me for body mass and weight. Water weight and such. Everything real low. Especially fat mass it's 9.3%. It should be 21-33%. sssooo low huh?

I had this test before..at the gym...mine was real low too...I think even lower than yours.

This was back when I was 94 lbs though....2 years ago.

Metagest I suppose a stomach enzyme to digest my food. I hope no mold in it though. It is betaine HCI and pepsin(porcine). Would anyone know if there is mold in this? 1 in morning, 2 lunch, 3 dinner time.

Any input on what you think on this would be great! 2 things I am skeptical about are the metagest and lactoflamx.

I think you just have to really listen to your body with these things. I dont do well with probiotics or enzymes but no 2 people are alike. You'll just have to see how things go....write stuff down...it'll help you figure things out.

I will keep my fingers crossed that they are ok for you. ;)

SHe also says she believes I have, bugs, parasites, dysbiosis, leaky gut and of course mercury. This is not surprising to me.

I agree....all these things are a given with mercury toxicity. Some of the bugs are hard to find. Nothing ever showed up in stool tests for me...but guaranteed they are there. They'll probably show up for me later on in ART.

If the tests dont identify anything it doesnt mean they're not there. They might show up later.

Did she say anything about yeast or future plans for chelation?

Good luck with the new supplements. :)

Rachel--24 Collaborator
Can you say anything more about why it is important? I know they offer the test at my dentists but I haven't done it. I have four fillings I need to have out but given everything else I've been putting it off.

Sure. :)

Bio Compatibility Testing

This is one of the most important of all the testing procedures. Mercury can severely compromise the immune system and as such you may be less able to handle other challenges to your immune system. Any substance implanted in the body may act as an immune challenge to which you may be reactive - this includes all tooth filling materials.

Many materials can be used to restore a cavity in a tooth from plastics to gold and porcelain. Of the composites there is a great variety to choose from. It is therefore critical that we place only those materials which are compatible for the individual. There is no one magic bullet.

Sophisticated blood testing techniques such as Immuno-diffusion and Cytotoxicity testing can be organised.

Electro Dermal screening is another way of testing compatibility of dental materials.

Wow....at least you know what you're dealing with now. :)

Have you been on the gluten-free diet?? Is this totally new for you? Lots of great people here with alot of knowledge....you'll learn everything you need to know right here on this board. :)

Yes, i have been on the gluten-free diet for about 20 days now, I was so sick, vomiting all the time for last 6 months. Been in the hospital (they thought I had cancer) I went to the dr. Thurs and asked him to run tests for it, he said he didnt think it was celiac but he would run the tests if i wanted. Called me today, said he was real impressed with me for figuring it out.

I have been learning alot on this site. Still making mistakes, had soy sauce at a china res truant (down in salt lake after seeing dr) woke up next morning feeling like heck and had blister on my lip. Now 3 days later starting to feel much better. Wont do that again.

So much to learn,

My test results came back 64EU whatever that means. I guess from the report 10EU-29EU is positive so I guess i am positive.

Dr said to clean out my house. (cant even keep house clean no energy. But I guess I must.) Alot of research to do. Thanks for responding I feel so overwhelmed

Yeah Rachel

She mentioned chelation, but not for awhile, a long while she said. She is more concerned about the gut and my digestion right now. She wants to start the healing process on that. When they check me for bugs it will be urine test. When she checks me for amino acids it will be blood test.

She says we need all 10 amino acids working or else nothing will really be helping me. She wants me to eat eggs and I told her I can't digest them. So she said for me to take the metagest. I asked her about constipation.

She still suggest the magnesium citrate over the mom's. Since mom's isn't working for me anymore I don't know. I asked her if enymas were okay and she said yes. Even fleets enymas I said. She also said yes to this.

I don't like my enyma bottle with the long hose. The water goes back in that long hose and squirt back in my butt. I did in on the bed last night and got dirty stool water all on my bed.

GGRROOOSSS huh? So I threw the bottle away. It just grossed me out real bad.

I wish I remembered what else she said. But I just get so nervous at these things. She has like a whole store of supplements at her place. I wish I went to this naturopath first.

If I remember what else I will post it

Take care

lisa

GGRROOOSSS huh? So I threw the bottle away. It just grossed me out real bad.

Was it a bottle or a bag??

I always do this in the bathroom.

I have two different ones...one for my moms and one for home. They both have hoses. One I got from Walmart after you and Carla were discussing yours. It has a shut-off valve but its up high (near the bag) and it makes things difficult for me.

The other bag I got off the internet a couple years ago....it has a knob type shut-off valve which is right where you need it...no reaching or anything.

Are you hanging the bag (or bottle) cuz it needs to be hanging. I've used the little Fleet things a long time ago. They're too small in my opionion...dont hold enough water. I used to fill them up like 4 times with water for one enema. I prefer the bag but I've never had that problem you had....and yeah...pretty sure that would gross me out too! :o

Thats good that shes gonna wait a long time till the chelation....mine will be a long time from now as well. Amino acids will help alot....you've got all the essentials in your whey protein I think. Does she want you to take that still?

Lisa- YIPPEEE on the appt. Glad it went well!

Donna- You are so cute!!!!!!!! and so glad you're feeling better! :D

fajitas- (my favorite food!)- Tom is right- this is a GREAT place to be in your situation.

Mia- OMG- dancing with back scrubbers- too cute! Little kids dancing always makes me tear up. They are so free and silly!

Rachel- Bummer...no radio reception? Honestly- i am both horrified and amzed by you and what you have been through. It's horrid but at the same time, I think you are an inspiration to a LOT of people- to get up every day, do what you need to do to take care of yourself, not take no or inconclusive for an answer and not stop till you get to the bottom. I think you're one of the strongest people I've ever had the honor of knowing.

I think you definitely should talk to that dentist and release what you've been holding inside. Maybe it would help to write down what you want to say in case you get emotional.

Barbara- Glad you know (and it's NOT cancer). It's the beginning of your road to better health! Celiac made me vomit too. Actually- it was one of my major symptoms. Stick with this site- you'll learn a lot and don't ever be afriad to ask any questions!

Susie- Repeat after me: I DO NOT WANT TO BE A SIZE 2. Before i went gluten-free, I was a size 0  and it was really scary.

The size 2 you

is not a healthy Sue!

I uhmmmed..racheled my coffee enema last night. That's all I'm saying (well- OK...lots of cramping and noxious gas). But the last 24 hours have NOT been pretty  It was a necessary evil???????? B)

Hmmm....I wonder what the EU means??

So I guess you dont know if it was tTG, EMA, Anti-gliadin IgA??

Well....hopefully you are starting to feel better with a few weeks on the diet. Its still early days.....you'll make mistakes and learn from them as you go. It happens to everyone but dont worry....it'll be second nature before you know it. ;)

Hopefully you'll keep on feeling better and better from here on out. :)

Omg Jin,

You're like a columnist for the Rachelville Gazette!!

I realized your posts are like reading a "News About Town" column or a "Musings & Remarks in R'ville" editorial.

Could anyone cover a wider range of topics in a single post?

I wondered if anyone else was like that with food! I wonder why hot and cold irritate the stomach so much? I suppose it makes sense, though. Room temperature tends to not cause reflux or indigestion too much. There are so many quirks that go along with illnesses like these.

Weird stuff. How about a system already out of equilibrium is more easily further disturbed?

Dear tom,

Dollface would not carry a knife. She is literally drop-dead gorgeous. Dollface will not allow anything but a good gun with a silencer for her use. ;) She believes in being discrete. Knives are too messy, and she does not have the patience.

Does that mean a garotte is out of the question?

"Having lured the target onto the couch, in close proximity - a garotte hidden in some fancy hair whatchamacallit - Dollface patiently waits for the moment . . . "

Whoops carried away again. That's YOUR char & story!!!

I hope to have another piece of art in here by the week's end. I have not had any time to work on that due to the final exam. It is taking forever, and I have no idea. I cannot find much in the book that even helps. An exam that is open-book usually is easy, but when your book sucks, that obliterates any hope you have of doing well.

Hey good luck on the exa-AAAAA-aaam!!

:)

And yay more art!

...... Yes, purely for your amusement, we have put it here for you to be laughing silly!

   THX!

There is one difficulty with turning your relatives into flies. That is, insulting the frogs. They are noble creatures, afterall.

Offending them would not be wise. One thing is for sure, they probably would not be that hard to tell apart. My mother would be the one that would be bouncing all over the place. Dad would be the one that likes to hear himself croak. Meanwhile, the dog would be trying to eat them! I would be like "No, don't eat your Mommy!"

:D:lol:

The Silver Dragon has terrific Hot-Sour Soup! I love that stuff, too! I miss it! We used to go to A Taste of China nearby.

It was funny, because I think they thought I was one of them, because they always gave us ten fortune cookies when I came with Dad or Mom. Whenever they went by themselves, we only got four!

How fortunate!! <groan>

Hard to argue w/ a 66% increase in per-capita cookie allottment! :)

(Oops that's if u go w/ Dad *and* Mom)

The soup was so good! It had tofu, smoky pieces of pork and chicken, golden noodles (from the day lily), shiitake mushrooms, white button mushrooms, bamboo shoots, red pepper flakes, egg, and made my tongue so happy! :P They often gave you fried noodles to put in it. I loved to dip my crabmeat rangoon in it, though. There is something about the spiciness and the rangoon flavors that went so well together! (Wanting to cry now!)

Ohhhhhhhh mmmmmmmmm so drool-worthy. A place close to my condo had fantastic hot&sour soup, and that w/ their chinese chicken salad became a comfort-food order for me.

Hot&Sour Soup was also my "test dish" to see if a place was worth returning to.

So much more variation place-to-place than in typical entrees.

I'd never *heard* of Crabmeat Rangoon! Looked it up tho and . . . . Mmmmmmmmm!!

Thanks for the hotel info! I do not travel at the moment, but who knows? Maybe I will finally get out of here, get well, and be all over the place! :)

Maybe?? MAYBE??!!!

That doesn't sound like the official language of R'ville!

Let's go w/ "WHEN" !

NNOOOO I don't hang it up I keep it level to the bed. Shot no wonder why. Do you think that red enyma bottle is okay? it kind of smells. I would rather use the fleets bottle for enymas. No she doesn't want me to take the whey protein right now. I don't know why but she doesn't want me to. I think its a milk thing or something.

Well...YEAH....I think not hanging up the bag could make things more difficult.

If you think the red bag is rancid or something dont use it. I dont know if its safe to use the fleet bottles if you're putting your own warm water in them....dont know it could leach chemicals from the plastic?? I dunno.

It would be cheaper to buy another red bag (like $13) than to keep buying the Fleets. If you get another one just take care of it....make sure you clean it out each time and hang it upside down to dry....that way it wont end up smelling.

I actually just tried the OxyPowder again for the first time today.

I'm trying it again...hopefully "naturally derived citric acid" does not mean from MOLD.

I only took one though...which I dont think is enough to kill the constipation but I just wanna make sure I dont react to it first.

Hey what's up people

Any input on what you think on this would be great!

Start each item one at a time, wait three days until you add the next so that you can look for a reaction. If you react negatively then either stop it, or start it more slowly.

It's a long steady race to get better, don't try to rush it.

Yes, i have been on the gluten-free diet for about 20 days now

I'm glad you found out for sure! You should start feeling better soon!

I don't like my enyma bottle with the long hose.

It's probably a good idea that you threw it away if it was going back and forth from you to the bottle ... that wouldn't be sanitary.

Try the bathroom floor with the bag hanging on the doorknob. ;) Have the switch in your hands so you can turn it off and on as needed.

I use the red enema bottle ... it works well if you use it correctly.

I uhmmmed..racheled my coffee enema last night. That's all I'm saying (well- OK...lots of cramping and noxious gas). But the last 24 hours have NOT been pretty  It was a necessary evil???????? B)

Yeah, today I could hold it in for 6 minutes ... usually it's 2 or 3 ... it made a huge difference. Apparently this time it loosened up more toxins.

Barbara - - how well I remember that place, 18 months ago. I felt at the brink of death's door, and wanted nothing but to go THROUGH that door. And now.....there is life. :) Hang in there, you do have a lot to learn but once you get the hang of it, it is seriously not that hard. and you will feel SO SO much better!

Take care of the kitchen and work on the rest as you have the energy. :)

Susie- Repeat after me: I DO NOT WANT TO BE A SIZE 2. Before i went gluten-free, I was a size 0  and it was really scary.

Chronic mildly elevated liver enzymes was what eventually led to my celiac diagnosis but it took thirteen years to ferret that out and by that time I had developed osteopenia.  Yes, you've got a lot going on there in the way of autoimmune disorders and all of them we now know have a connection with celiac disease. It is true that autoimmune disorders tend to cluster. But it sounds like you are getting medical attention and keeping an eye on things.

Thank you! Yes, I have celiac disease, lupus and Sjögrens. My ALT and AST have been chronically slightly elevated for a couple years and recently had an acute kidney injury (thinking it was from an antibiotic) with increased Lipase. So my primary doctor referred me to a kidney specialist. Other kidney labs are normal.

My test results for TissueTransglutaminase IgA Antibody test came back normal. Like spot on normal. I do not have celiac! My problems are stemming from this H Pylori infection. I think I’ve had it for years. We’ll see if the doctor wants to do an endoscopy to see how extensive the damage is. Otherwise just a regimen of antibiotics will do the trick. The thanks for your guys’s help!

Thank you both so much for taking the time to reply.    Cristiana - yes the rashes seemed to resolve when he came off gluten too. I haven’t seen those pictures before, thanks for pointing me to them. I’d say his rash isn’t like the more severe photos which are scabbed and very bumpy. His rash is more like lots and lots of patches of eczema than spots. No we have no celiac in the family to my knowledge, though my mum and sister both have autoimmune diseases and wheat sensitivity. I think you’re right and I’ll have to do another trial to confirm if it was the wheat. I’ve been hoping all day that I come down with the bug to rule out the wheat reaction! But the rest of the family are absolutely fine.    Trents - thank you for the info regarding the genes. That’s very interesting and I’d definitely consider doing that as a way to rule it out without putting him back on wheat. I also didn’t know celiacs were commonly intolerant to dairy and soy. I think you’re right and there is definitely enough factors to show something is going on. I think I’ll do a repeat trial of the wheat challenge and if he reacts again I shall look into the genetic testing.    Thank you both so much for your time. Becky

Welcome to the forum, @Lburnett! Have you been officially diagnosed with celiac disease? I'm just trying to get a handle on the health context from which your question comes.
