Happy Birthday, Sherry!

I think China is ahead of us .....

Donna, I really feel it is helping with the bloating, and nothing has before. :) Fortunately, today I did not see any tapeworm. :) I SAW about 4 feet, and I didn't do a thorough search, so there very well could have been more. It was making me nauseous for quite some time after I used the bathroom .... I think just the idea of it nauseated me!

I have to adjust to the new colors, too! I'm looking at it for the first time and don't have my glasses on ... so we'll see later! I didn't like the gray and blue, but I liked the blue it was before .... I think I'll like the green ... it's my favorite color!

I'm not so sure I like the new board format. It's a little confusing...I guess I'll get used to it. ;)

Sorry to interrupt here with an unrelated (but related) item:

This is a new report on possible link between electro-magnetic radiation and mercury toxicity. YIKES!

Okay, I have REALLY GOOD NEWS!!! The insurance has approved up to $800 a day for iron IV's!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Since the IV's cost about $300- 500 a day, so there will be enough for a PICC line also. The Dr. just needs to order that and figure out exactly how this will all work out. I am so relieved!!!

On another note, the Igenex stuff still hasn't gone through. We decided that we are going to get blood drawn through the Medical Group I was going to (the ones who ran the most recent blood work) and since it's only $35 for the Western Blot, my mom figures if it comes back positive then great...but if its negative we will pursue Igenex.

catesfolly, you aren't interupting! Jump in any time.

YIKES is right! Thanks for posting that.

Kassandra, GREAT NEWS on the insurance coming through for your iron IV's!! I am sure you and your family are so relived about that.

That is the route I went, same price for the test, might even be the same lab. Igenex is the next step so you can see how that one worked out for me

Anybody heard from SUsie UK? She hasn't posted in a long time.

Carla, that's good you are noticing less bloating with the product.

You must be feeling well, I can tell when you aren't around as much you are probably out and about living your life!

I don't care for the board change, I love green, but I can't read this very well, the posts are muddled together :(

catesfolly, thanks for posting that!

Kassandra, I'm glad the iron is covered ... and the Western Blot sounds like a good idea, maybe you'll get a positive and won't have to worry about IGeneX.

It looks like I am going to get through this cold without a Lyme flare! This is HUGE! I do have more muscle aches than normal, and a little knee pain, but a small cold used to send me to bed for two weeks .... this time it was a fever and bed only one day. :)

Thanks Catefolly. I've heard lots of stuff about how bad cell and cordless phones are. It's interesting to see a report on it.

Is Igenex in your future?

Susie UK was reading a day or two ago.

Yep, Carla's not on as much when she's feeling better.

I don't like the format very well. I agree it's hard to read the posts now with the poster information strung across the top of the post instead of the side. I do like the green color though.

YAY!!!!!

Kassandra,

I thought I'd hit quote for your post.....anyway YAY on getting the IV's approved!

I do hope your mom will follow through with Igenex if your other lyme test comes out negative.....which I won't be surprised if it does......see Julies response.

Unfortunately this stuff is true. I've posted a little about it awhile back. There is a definate link and very often people who are highly toxic with metals will notice reactions to EMF's. There was a time when I'd feel it just sitting in front of the computer...although its not so bad anymore.

My Dr.'s have talked to me about EMF's and I've been tested for EMF stress...and they did find that my body was under some stress from that. I had to stop using my electric blanket and I unplugged the cordless phone that was in my room...also the alram clock that was over my head.

I'm supposed to avoid putting my cell phone up to my head but I havent addressed that yet.

One of my Dr.'s said that this is definately showing up as a problem with her autistic kids. She said some of them will go nuts when they get around a cell phone tower...and some have to be holding onto some type of electronic device at all times or they have meltdowns.

I asked her if this stuff is gonna prevent me from recovering. She said that right now we just really need to focus on getting the metals out.

She also told me to not put my body right next to the computer tower....she said to keep my body away from it as much as possible.

I cant read the board as well....it hurts my eyes. :(

I'm not sure what it is cuz I love green ....its my favorite color...but my eyes dont adjust too well to this. All the posts seem to run together.

Hopefully my eyes will adjust cuz right now its hard for me to read the posts.

Maybe its the font?? Is the font lighter or something??

Julie,

Lol! I am not expecting anything from this lab. If it comes back negative, we will pursue Igenex, but if it's positive, we won't unless the LLMD wants us to.

Tom,

Lol!! Thank you! We are very happy! Now I am freaked out to get the PICC line! AHH!!

Everyone,

The place that was going to run the test for Lyme (western blot) didn't call me back today! I guess I will have to wait until Monday or Tuesday.

You might be in for a little bit of a longer wait with the timing of all of this. It will be a short week for offices/labs next week with Thanksgiving.

Oh My Gracious...........

I haven't been on a few days............

This format has sure changed

It is so bright i just can't read it.

I was just reading the one page posts here and I'm going to have to get off.

I just have to squint to keep the brightness out. :o:(

confusedks Enthusiast

Judy,

If you press refresh, it won't be as bright...

Julie,

Grr! I hadn't thought about that! It's like there something going on because every time I try to get something done...it doesn't happen!!!

Jin,

I had EMF stress come up on my ASYRA testing. I'm still on the computer almost all day. :(

Looks like the main board color has been toned down now........still light print though.

confusedks Enthusiast

Andrea,

I know...the print is too dull...it needs to be black...not charcoal! LOL!

I had DMPS again yesterday. It went really well...no problems at all.

I wish I had been collecting urine again but I do feel alot better knowing that last time the metals were coming out.

I wish I had started earlier so that I might be eating holiday food this year. :(

I had a baby dose again (1cc). My Dr. wrote on my chart "DMPS 1-3". The nurse told me since he wrote that I could pick which dose I want 1-3. I was really tempted to say "2 please". :)

I know what my Dr. meant by 1-3...so I told her he wants me to start with 1 and then work up to 3.

So I got the smallest again.

I asked her if anyone else is getting 1cc...and she said no..that most people get 5cc's...which is the "normal" dose. I said "Everyone else is getting 5 cc's??"

She said thats what most people get. I told her my doc said I probably wont ever have 5 cc's. :(

Thanks guys this is better.

doing it in bold so we'll see how this comes out.

Dear Everyone,

Just when I thought I was getting caught up, there was more! Do not worry, I am reading along and will post soon. I have been busy, but will respond shortly.

I just worry this new format will mess up my ability to recall things as well. Tomorrow, I may get my hair done! Maybe by this time tomorrow, I will have my Jen Zen going on!

Sincerely,

Jin

So I know plenty of you have had to deal with insomnia, so I was just wondering what is something that I can get over the counter that won't make me sleep for 10 days straight...lol.

Welcome to the forum, @Kiwifruit, I agree further testing is needed.  Disaccharidase deficiency is a symptom of Celiac disease.   On your test results, this line  "IgA: 0.9 g/l (norm 0.8 - 4.0)" is referring to Total IgA and it's very low.  People with low or deficient Total IgA should also have DGP IgG test done.  Low Total IgA means you are making low levels of tTg  IgA as well, leading to false negatives or "weak positives".  Maybe a DNA test for known Celiac genes.   Anemia, diabetes, and thiamine deficiency can cause test results like these.  Get checked for B12 deficiency anemia and have your iron (ferritin) checked.  Vitamin D deficiency is common, too.   Might be time to find a gastrointestinal doctor who is more familiar with diagnosing Celiac Disease.   Best wishes on your journey!  Please keep us posted on your progress.

Yes, there is a trend in the medical community to forego the endoscopy/biopsy and grant an official celiac diagnosis based on high tTG-IGA antibody scores alone. This trend started in the UK and is spreading to the USA medical community. And yes, 5-10x the normal level is what I have been seeing as the threshold as well. Here is the relevant section dealing from the article above dealing with the importance of the total IGA test being ordered. See the embedded attachment.
    • hmkr
Ok, interesting. Not what I was thinking that meant. I'm reading the article and trying to understand. I see this “According to the latest research, if the blood test results are at certain high levels that range between 5-10 times the reference range for a positive celiac disease diagnosis, it may not be necessary to confirm the results using an endoscopy/biopsy” My IgG is 90, which is 6 times. So to me that means it's highly likely I do have it.
    • trents
It just means you aren't IGA deficient, i.e., that IGA deficiency cannot have given you artificially low scores in the individual IGA celiac antibody tests. This is explained in the article Scott linked above.
    • hmkr
Normal range: 70 - 400 mg/dL, a little above middle of the range. So what does that mean? Thank you! I will check out that page you linked. Appreciate it!
