.. .. .. .

Working in conjunction with the lemon water and reduction in condiments with vinegar and sugar, . . ..

Awwww Jin .. . ."reduction"? Why any at all?

Sorry to hear that tooth is still in. :(

I got a text from Kassandra about a half hour ago ... she said she was at the LLMD's office waiting! :)

Weird to think she's just a few miles away.

And Donna at work might be less than 2 miles from Kassandra RIGHT NOW!

Julie,

Sorry to hear about your outbreak. I was worried since you hadnt posted in awhile. :(

The tongue swelling sounds scary!! I'm glad the reaction is going away now. Sheeesh...I wish someone could figure out what is triggering these outbreaks!

Patti,

Nice to "see" you...glad you are feeling so good and enjoying your new home. :)

Kassandra,

I'm one of the ones waiting anxiously to hear about your visit with Dr. H.!!

Ami...Whew! Glad the neck situation is better after stopping the chlorella. :)

I tend to think the hand numbness is caused by mercury as well. I think in my case its aggravated by certain things...foods, yeast, deficiencies, etc....but the underlying cause for ALL of my symptoms would most likely be the mercury.

Ok, so the rectal bleeding is back.

I am not loosing any more weight, but I am passing food in recognizable form (mixed with sand) and having more bleeding.

Maybe I am crazy, but this makes me feel more and more that this is NOT celiac, and is something else.

I ate some banana chips last night and got so sick I had to lie down for 2+ hours, and awoke with ravenous thirst and abdominal pain.

(I know I know, I said no more sugar... but I was hungry and out of other "safe" food)

I am trying to use the powers of the internet, but does anyone know of anything that causes mouth-to-butt GI problems with any form of sugar/fruit/grain/starch?

This cannot be normal. I refuse to believe I must subsist off of meat and vegetables.

Count me amongst the anxiously awaiting news of Kassandra people, lol!!

JULIE!!!

OMGosh, how scarey!!!! I had no idea...sheesh, you've been emailing me and I'm thinking your probably okay, lol.

Patti -

glad you are settling into the new place!! The chaos will soon be over, lol.

Ami -

Sounds like you are doing better! Glad to hear it.

And Donna at work might be less than 2 miles from Kassandra RIGHT NOW!

Shucks...didn't go to work today, lol, so am probably farther away.

Everyone,

Warning too much scatalogical info approaching...

So our original Christmas in the Park date was for last night, and so I had asked for today off of work. Glad I did, because I felt really bad this morning. Explosive D! I've been having a really hard time after dinner. I can't pinpoint what might be causing it because it happens no matter what I eat, but for the last week or so I've had terrible gas...the kind that feels like it might be D, and my intestines are sore. I don't have pain, but they are sore from the inside...does that make sense. It feels like I just want to poop them out for relief. I'm feeling better now that I've had quite a few trips to the bathroom, but I had to have my car serviced today, and was REALLY worried about the time away from home, lol.

Okay, back to anxiously awaiting news from Kassandra!

I still haven't heard from Kassandra .... must be a long appt .... or maybe a long wait .... or maybe both ... I was thinking of texting her to see if she forgot about us!

Didn't she mention Kassandra was unsure about the hotel wireless...

maybe she is just away from internet access and HEALING LIKE CRAZY

I think my first appointment was scheduled for 1-1/2 hours and I think we went over that by a bit...she's got a few more issues than I did.

Donna,

Do you think the humaworm has been causing all the distress with you?

Carla,

I'm still anxiously awaiting news.......along with everyone else here. :)

Kristina,

A lot of your food sensitivities sound like a lot of others here. Would it be possible to check into a holistic or naturopath and do more testing for metals, and possibly lyme? A more sensitive parasite test.....etc?

I had my mineral IV last night. I did ok during...but after the first hour I suddenly got VERY sleepy. I was trying to read but couldnt keep my eyes open.

The nurse came over several times to check on things. I told her that I thought the minerals were suppossed to give me more energy...but I'm about to pass out??!! She said its the magnesium....it makes you sleepy during and after the IV but I should feel really good today.

I also had some tingling/numbness on my lips and tongue which started half-way through the IV....the nurse said that was from the magnesium as well. She said thats why they have to go very slow with the IV (2 hours) or it would be much worse.

So afterwards I was very wobbly on my feet...tired and walking like I was drunk.

I was joking with the girls at the front desk that I was wanting to lay down on the floor and sleep. I really could have done it though! :P

They asked if I'd just had an IV. They both said that patients seem to get tired and woozy after IV's but they double checked with the nurses to be sure I was ok to leave.

I went to Whole Foods which is practically next door to the doctors office...by the time I got there i was walking normally and the tingling/numbness was going away. I did get minor head swelling from the IV...but at this point I dont think theres *anything* that doesnt cause my head swell.

It was nothing like the reaction I had to the first IV though.

Then I ended up doing something really stupid!

I bought chocolate!!

I ate about half the bag in the car and then proceeded to develop a MAJOR migraine. :(

I guess it was the combination of my body dealing with the IV minerals and then I'm shoveling in the chocolate on top of it all. My body was NOT happy with me. :(

So yeah...it was a heinosity...the pain was severe and I couldnt take anything for it (theres no way I'd take pain pillers)....just had to deal with it. I was feeling like I might throw up. I told my boss what happened and she ended up calling work and telling them I'm not coming in today. :(

So I missed work today for the first time in a long time.

Earlier this morning my head was still hurting pretty badly and I was still nauseus. I went back to sleep and woke up around 10 feeling pretty good. I'm back to normal now. :)

I have DMPS in a few hours...gonna go up to 3 cc's so hopefully my body can handle it! I'm doing a provoked urine test for this one. :)

I've been busy reading all kinds of autism books lately. Its really becoming more and more apparant to me that all of these "conditions" that we are seeing so frequently in children (ADD, autism. asthma, autoimmune disease, learning disabilities, etc) are a direct result of toxicity. The symptoms of mercury toxicity and autism are identical accross the board and this is mentioned in great detail in every book I'm reading.

Its also becoming more apparant to me that my own problems were "brewing" since childhood. My mom had 11 amalgams...the mercury exposure from dental amalgam is significant and very harmful to the fetus.

Some people have a genetic predisposition which makes them more susceptible to damage from certain toxins but a genetic predisposition isnt necessary for mercury to cause damage...its toxic to everyone.

So I had head banging issues for about half of my life...this was mentioned in every book as possiobly being a way for those who are mercury toxic to release stress.

The other one I've had all my life is rhythmic rocking. I do this pretty much constantly...but not usually while I'm busy working or interacting with people.

I only do it while I'm "relaxing"....while I'm thinking, reading, watching tv, listening to music, typing on the computer, etc. Basically when I'm alone in my thoughts. It still bugs my mom and when I was younger she always thought I'd wear holes in the carpet because I'd rock back in forth in my chair all night long...until bed time. I would then usually bang my head on my pillow to fall asleep.

I found some school reports from when I was in preschool and kindergarten. All of the progress reports were the same....they were saying that I was not participating in group play. I wasnt interacting with the other kids....I wasnt showing any interest in other people around me.

Each quarter the progress report was the same and the only way they could get me to be involved in group play was to make me....but I would not do this on my own.

As most of you have probably figured out by now....I had some behavior problems growing up. I was really smart (straight A's) but difficult in every other way.

I've always been shy with people I dont know and then very talkative with people I'm comfortable with or have known for a long time. Since I got my amalgams removed I notice that I talk to more and more people. I'm not nearly as shy anymore! :)

When I first got really sick I was totally avoiding people and not making eye contact. I was getting little panic attacks when people came around me and sometimes breaking out in a sweat when people were talking to me. Occasionally I'll still get a "heatflash" or sweat if I get nervous around people but its really rare and more often than not I'm wanting to socialize...even with people I dont know very well. :o

Some people still consider me to be "stuck-up" or rude because I'm less social than most of the people around me and because I tend to talk more with certain people. I think I'm improving alot though and I'm betting that the more I detox the more I will be socializing with the people around me. :)

In all of the books shyness, impaired social interaction, lack of interest in other people, etc.. are listed as symptoms of both ASD's and mercury poisoning.

Now I have more obvious symptoms because of the digestive problems, food/chemical intolerances, yeast overgrowth, malabsorption, nutritional imbalances, leaky gut, autoimmune problems etc....but I think the signs were probably always there. Now I've crossed the threshold and have almost all the symptoms seen in autism. I dont have problems with viruses...but I havent recently been injected with a triple live vaccine (MMR) either.

In every book I've been reading candida is mentioned as a major factor.....it is also brought up that....

"If there is a high level of mercury in the body, Candida multiplies. Until you detoxify the body of the mercury you wont be able to to get rid of the candida overgrowth on any lasting basis, no matter how perfect your diet or what antifungal drug or natural substance you take. The fungus will just keep coming back."

Every book is making that clear so I believe this is becoming more and more widely accepted as truth.

Every case of Autism and mercury toxicity will be different because the disturbances in the body are never identical in each individual. Yeast is something that seems to *always* be a factor in every person having high levels of mercury stored in the body....along with history of infections and use of antibiotics.

I'm glad the IV went ok.

Chocolate.......that'll do you in every time! I've been on a chocolate binge myself lately. I always bought chocolate when I was stressed out.......that should tell you how my week's been going......on top of more cravings during my cycle.

Chocolate is calling to me now, but I'm trying to ignore it since we had so much sugar last night. I told Mitch he couldn't have any today so it's not fair for me to have any either. Of course I have to share mine with three other mouths and he doesn't. :P

My mom had and has lots of amalgams still. I'm still wondering how much havoc I wrecked on Seth since I had my crowns done (think lots of mercury vapors) within 2 months of finding out we were expecting. Then the root canal my 3rd trimester and he put amalgam on that one!

Rachel--24 Collaborator

Oh yeah...its also made clear that mercury and heavy metals are *not* the only problem with the vaccines. The problem is with the huge increase in vaccines and this is harmful to the immune system even without the heavy metals, formaldehyde, MSG, etc...which are included in many of the vaccines.

So yeah...it seems like evidence is mounting that the vaccines are damaging the immune system. Mercury is a huge factor and by the time kids are getting the MMR they have been exposed to large amounts of toxins and the immune system is not able to launch an appropriate attack against these live viruses. There is inflammation in the gut...yeast overgrowth...leaky gut....then they've got gluten and casein getting to the brain and the whole thing continues to snowball and overwhelm the immune system. :(

Green12 Enthusiast
Julie that sounds horrible. Do you have any idea what caused it?

I am still struggling with back ache, a week now. :( Am checking out the Cowden protocal and reading more in my Buhner to see what I might be able to try if I can't use abx anymore.

Sherry, thanks for your thoughts. I have a chronic form of angioedema (the disease rather than the condition/situational) and have had since around the time I first started getting sick. I get an outbreak pretty much every month, and it coincides with the hormaonal cycle (drop in estrogen/progesterone)

Gosh, I am so sorry you continue to struggle with your back. I hope you get some relief soon.

Thanks Carla & Jin too for your thoughts, sorry you guys have both had some bad days.

Ami, glad you checked in. That's great news your neck is doing better.

Donna, I am sorry to laugh because it isn't funny but when I read what you wrote I couldn't help it  . I am SO SORRY about the d, explosive d at that.

I am thinking Humaworm too??? Maybe

Kristina, I would also suggest a Naturopath, or even a Osteopath, a dr/practitioner that would look at the whole picture for you. You obviously have a lot going on that just isn't being addressed by main stream medical, and you can't figure it out all by your self.

Rachel, fascinating info.

I am thinking more and more things really started going down hill for me right after that MMR I was forced to get. I had already started developing digestive issues before that point and had been on lots of antibiotics for acne and different infections, also I know mercury was an issue since my mom had a lot of amalgams and I got that in utero as well as from my own.....but that MMR was the final straw I think.

I'm glad you made it through your mineral IV, questionable at times, but you did make it

I tell you that chocolate is evil  Especially for us.

When it calls out your name (Andrea, you too), don't answer, RUN the other way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kassandra was clinically diagnosed with Lyme. They are running a bunch of tests ... and Dr. H had heard of Humaworm. That's all I know. :)

Just got another text .... Band 31 for IgM and Band 41 for IgG were positive. There were some IND, but she didn't tell me which ones.

She's starting on Zith, olive leaf extract, and b12 shots. The Zith is for a challenge test.

Rachel--24 Collaborator

Sherry,

I'm thinking there is something thats being overlooked in your treatment. 7 years is a really LONG time to be on antibiotics. You've also been chelating for several years and still having metals showing up in your tests. Something is holding you back. There are so many things that could be getting in the way but in my opinion as long as your body holds onto those metals you will not be able to get vrid of the Lyme and other infections.

I would probably concentrate on figuring out why you're not getting those metals out. Its very difficult to determine all the factors involved or where there might be disturbances. I think Andrea said you will be in Washington at some point?? If thats true I would try to get in to see Dr. Amy (she is awesome and was trained by Klinghardt). If you can see her and have her do ART I'm sure you might find out some things that you havent been aware of.

She can also test which treatments will work best for you. It might be that what you're doing is not what your body needs right now.

I would try something like that if at all possible.

I think your continuing problems have alot to do with still being very toxic despite your treatments.

Rachel,

Glad the IV went well, sort of, lol. As usual, your scientificness is very interesting.

Do you think the humaworm has been causing all the distress with you?

I just don't know. I was thinking maybe it was the combo of something in the Humaworm and something else. At first I was thinking it was the parsley, but by itself I don't think it would cause this. I WAS, however, taking it at the same time as the cumanda, which Carla said not to do, lol. Today I took them separately, so we'll see. I've also has suspicions that it might be the magnesium. Don't know. I'm on day 19 of the Humaworm, so not many left to go.

CarlaB Enthusiast

According to Nutramedix, parsley can be taken with Cumanda, but burbur cannot.

Good news about the IV Rachel.

Kassandra will be sending out an email tonight about her appt.

Julie,

Have you always been in Colorado? I'm wondering if you've had lyme for a long time and the MMR pushed you over the edge, or that you had the metals and the MMR pushed you over the edge and then you got lyme.

Mitch is home.......I don't have an excuse to avoid it anymore do I? Blame it on Whole Foods having good chocolate with no soy lecithin in it. :P Mine must be hormonal too because it picks me up during my cycle......course it's probably all in my head and just another excuse to have it. It is chocolate....does it need an excuse? Let's see it's got histamines too, which according to ASYRA don't like me very well......or I don't like them. Still have turkey a lot too. I think the adrenal support is helping a little with my energy though, but I haven't tried driving up to Bellevue lately.

You could also see Dr. Elizabeth if Amy is too booked up. She does have a waiting list for new patients I believe. Dr. E can also run all the tests and do some LED's.

Julie,

Have you ever been tested to see if the MMR...or specifically the measles virus is a problem for you?? Have you ever been treated with nosodes for the MMR or measles??

I actually talked to Anna (my bioset practitioner) about your situation several months ago...you werent posting at the time. She immediately said she would look at the MMR..she said the measles may not have been cleared by your immune system.

It would not be mercury from the MMR....because the MMR never contained thmerosal....but if exposure has been high prior to the live vaccines...the immune system may be compromised and unable to fight the viruses as it normally should.

There are 2 sides to the immune system...TH1 and TH2. When heavy metal and environmental toxin loads are high...the immune system may be operating more on the TH2 side. The TH2 side deals with metals and toxins while the TH1 side deals with certain infections... intracellular bacteria, yeast and viruses...also cancer.

If your immune system is compromised by metals its more likely to be operating more on the TH2 side....which leaves us more vulnerable to those infections. I think also if the immune system is revved up on TH2 side...we are more reactive to everything...foods, chemicals, etc.

Anyways...if you could see someone like Amy...who is really experienced with ART...you might be able to pinpoint if the MMR has caused your problems or not.

In the book I'm currently reading "The Natural Medicine Guide To Autism"....there is alot of discussion about the MMR.

The book is very imformative and includes information from several different health care practitioners and researchers. There is a chapter about the work of each Dr.....including Dr. Klinghardt.

Most if not all of these Dr.'s use the nosodes to successfully clear the MMR viruses.

This is a portion of what Dr. K says in the book...

ART can identify the connection between an individual childs autism and specific vaccines. For example, muscle testing indicators of the illness may "resonate" with the Hepatitis B vaccine, which means there is a strong "yes" from the test muscle that the autism is connected to that particular vaccine.

There is often a multiple vaccine connection.

Dr Klinghardt notes, supporting the data that indicate that there is a synergetic effect between the vaccines. "The more vaccines, the more chance of developing Autism", he states.

Like the heavy metals, the vaccine viruses impair various biochemical systems, including the enzyme system. "On the most superficial level, people develop a deep disturbance in their fatty acid metabolism. "We know that for sure", says Dr. K.

Vaccines also change the bowel flora in favor of pathogenic microorganisms. The situation in the bowel sets the child up for allergies, excema, and asthma.

He also says that in his experience the MMR is the most common culprit, but the hepatitis B and the pertussis vaccines have been instrumental in a number of cases as well.

So you may want to consider looking into this with one of the Dr.'s who is very knowledgeable about the vaccines....especially MMR.

Rachel--24 Collaborator

Yes, Amy does have a waiting list. I'm not sure how booked up she is in Washington but for her visits here the waiting list is very long.

Donna...there is a way to become a patient. If you fly to Seattle to see her you will then be considered a patient and will be included in the scheduling for her visits to the Bay Area. Thats pretty much the only way to get in to see her at this point.

I'm not sure how difficult it is to schedule with her in Washington though.

I'd be willing to fly up to Washington for that, lol! :P I may have to just fly up there a few times a year to see Dr. Elizabeth if I can't get in with Dr. Amy. IN the meantime, Scott has done a pretty good job for me, so I can just see him and maybe go locally for the LED stuff. So many choices, lol.

Is it worth it to remove gluten before they potentially do an endoscopy & biopsy? I thought I read it’s best to be eating gluten for 3 months prior to it. So hoping they have a cancellation and call us in sooner.

Thank you for the warning. I get blood tests twice a year to check where I stand with the vitamins I regularly take, so I appreciate the extra reminder. I know some vitamins don’t build up but now I will watch the B6 for sure.

I think you would do well to take a high potency B-complex such that you get more balanced dosage across the spectrum of B vitamins. They work in concert.

Around 5 years ago I visited Tokyo, and luckily had my sister in law with me who is from there, otherwise it would have been more difficult. The bottom line is that there are tons of naturally gluten-free food options there, but you need to be able to communicate your needs to restaurant staff. Here is a gluten-free restaurant card for American visitors in Tokyo. It includes a request for a gluten-free meal and mentions common gluten-containing ingredients to avoid, like soy sauce and miso. English: Thank you. Japanese:   You can also download the Google Translate app, and besides being able to help you speak with people there about this, it has a camera app that translates Japanese text to English in your camera, so you can use it when shopping in a supermarket.
