1 More Week Of Gluten-then Test-& Milk Question

I gave up gluten off and on over the last year but it wasn't until I gave it up for 3 months that I slowly started feeling better. Then I went on a retreat and all they had was bread, cheese and fruit. I became so bloated and sick I believe I have my answer.

I learned I must be back on gluten at least three weeks to get an accurate test and I have one week to go. Oh! Now that I know what is making me sick it feels like eating poison.

I have read on the posts here that giving up milk can speed my recovery. Is there anything else that can?

I have tried to give up milk too in the past but am soooooo starving that I just can't do it. My stomach just burns in the morning until I get some dairy. Anyone else get that and have any recommendations?

I have suffered with severe chronic fatigue which became much worse after my first daughter was born. I believe I had adrenal fatigue on top of the celiac.

How long does it take to recover? Do I have to keep eating gluten until the biopsy or just until the blood tests?

I'm so happy to have hope again. I know I will feel better after I can quit gluten for good.

Thank you all for being here! It's like water in the desert!

Mia

If you're going to have the biopsy, you need to keep eating gluten until then. The diet sure told you alot, I hope the rest of the tests do, too.

Hello, I’ve been gluten free for over a year now. I now know and understand that I have been celiac my whole life and my body has been battling without me knowing. Wondering if this has happened to anyone else after diagnosis but I feel like my immune is system is stuck fighting. My mouth is always tingling, I always see stars in my vision, my heart is always pounding, I am always shakey, I get super warm at times. I also cant get rid of this frequent urination either. I definitely notice improvements since going gluten free but its like my body does not have enough power itself to push through this stage. I have an appointment with my doctor this Thursday. But I am wondering if anyone else has experienced symptoms like this and if there is any cause for concern that my nervous system is damaged.

Hi there, I have a few questions about my daughter who is 2 and has been gluten-free for two weeks following her diagnosis please! She was originally diagnosed due to having faecal impaction and chronic constipation. Since starting the gluten-free diet, we are still on daily movicol but she is pooping a lot more than before. Could this finally be her naturally clearing out the backlog as her digestive system is actually starting to work again? Secondly the colour of her stools has recently been a bit pinkish. It does not look like blood, but I wondered if this is normal again for a colour shift post diet change? Finally, she has had a very large tummy due to the coeliac. How long does this take to go down? Thank you!

Everything I had was included in the cruise fare. The coffee at cafe al baico is not but,  ALL baked goods are! If you want a coffee, latte, or espresso the charge is $4 to $5. Not bad for some excellent coffee! The buffet and spa cafe has free coffee and drinks. Also large selection of the best ice cream, sorbet, and gelato at sea for free!  with Celebrity I don’t feel like I have a handicap.
