Indian Food In Littleton

We tried this last night after reading an article about this restaurant, that they're Naan bread is traditional and is gluten free!!

So I called and asked about all they're dishes....the hostess assured me nothing has wheat in it as she is allergic as well!

So, we went ahead and ordered Naan bread, Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Korma......Yippee!! Nothing bothered us!!!

I actually had problems after my dessert....rice crispie treats.....(malt in the rice crispies).......

(it is so hard getting used to this)

So if you can find a traditional indian restaurant that uses sorghum flour instead of white wheat flour.....go for it!!

Be careful of indian foods, some indian spices can cause truely horrible reactions in people who have intestinal disorders. I made a simple curry as a progect for an anthropology class. The D lasted days and was pressurized like a firehose. And it was gluten free.

I did a little digging, and found out about the spices.

On the other hand, I have a great recipe for chewy coconut ball that are safe.

Welcome to the forum, @Terrance Donald! Are you actually allergic to gluten or do you say that meaning you either have celiac disease or NCGS (Non Celiac Gluten Sensitivity), neither of which are allergies?

Essentially all of our UK forum participants who are in the process of a celiac disease diagnosis report that after their blood antibody testing is done, they have to wait many months to get the endoscopy/biopsy for confirmation. My impression is that the UK/European health care models do great at addressing routine healthcare needs but poorly at specialty healthcare needs.

I think both systems have merits and faults, but in my opinion no citizen of any country should be denied health care, and it should be a basic human right, no matter your income.
