ok i know this is gonna sound wierd but here goes, recently diagnosed and was thinking how i could speed up the process of getting the remaining gluten out of my body, ive booked colonic irrigation thinking as it helps clean out your bowel, wondering if anyone has had this done and if anyone thought it helped and was worth haveing it done.

Don't know ... when I went gluten-free I was having a natural colonic irrigation pretty regularly  Natural meaning my body was doing it on it's own!

Hay carla, the thing is my problem is i get terribly constapated and when i do get to go it comes out like D, so i was thinking it couldnt hurt right and it may get rid of any gluten remaining in my bowel that is hanging on or in so to speak.

Couldn't hurt at any rate ... but, the constipation will remain if you don't fix what's causing it.

the gluten is eliminated rather quickly anyway. the problem is that it starts off a self-sustaining chemical reaction in the gut that your body produces all the reagents for itself. so the only thing you can do it wait it out.

Thank you for your input!  I would really like to know if I have celiac disease because you need make sure you are not getting any cross contamination due to cancer concerns.  I guess I need to start with a knowledgeable Gastroenterologist. Thank you again!

Correct. I’m doing both in the same go though. Thanks for clarifying before I confused someone. I’m doing a colonoscopy for something else and then they added the endoscopy after the test.

It is a biopsy but it's not a colonoscopy, it's an endoscopy.

Well I’m going on the gluten farewell tour so they are about to find out lol. I keep saying biopsy but yeah it’s a scope and stuff. I’m a dummy but luckily my doctor is not.
