I 'm going to be going to Cabo in Sept and was wondering if anyone else has traveled there recently, and if you have, do you remember any places to eat?

or any other suggestions?, I'm looking forward to getting away  , but also a little nervous about not cooking my own meals.

I was recently diagnosed with Celiac (Jan 06) and have been gluten free since then and feeling good, I don't want to go back to the way I was feeling.............icky!!! :(

don't really want tp pack up a week's worth of food to take with me,

Thanks................Allen

If you are staying at one of the resorts, then talk to the head chef and see what they can provide. Then talk to the concierage (sp) and see if they can do some advance calling for you at the in town restaurants that everyone likes to go to. If no concierage then talk to the mgr. I went there for a convention (before diagnosis) and had such a wonderful laid back time. I am sure that someone will post who has been there as a Celiac. Loved the pina colada's on the beach. Enjoy! :) Also, your bigger resorts have a fully equiped medical area and a doctor on staff. I went into A (can't spell it) shock after too many days of pina colada's. Have not had one of those drinks since. But, they sure tasted great while it lasted - he he.

Agreed. Dairy is just as bad as gluten for me.

Many probiotics start with growing the bacteria on a dairy substrate leaving traces of dairy in the probiotics.   Many Celiacs react to dairy in the same way as they react to gluten because certain protein chains in dairy resemble gluten protein chains.   @Wheatwacked ferments his own pickles.  Perhaps he can chime in.

Yes it happens if I eat yogurt to.

The AIP diet does have a vegetarian version.   Dr. Sarah Ballantyne developed the AIP diet for herself and her children, all Celiacs.  The AIP diet has been shown in scientific studies to promote intestinal healing.  You might visit her website.  www.thepaleomom.com
