Well, here we are in Texas. It just so happens that 2 of the internal med docs that my dh works with are celiac. He told them about Tim our son. THey asked if dh had been tested he said yes and told them it was negative. Then they checked the system to see what tests were done. apparently it was the WRONG one! So they ordered other tests for him. 3 of them came back yesterday and they are pointing toward the posibility of him having sprue. His sugars are elevated, his kidney and liver are elevated and his iron is very low. We will wait for the rest to be returned before they do a biopsy. Wish for the best!

Hopefully the results will come back soon. The waiting is the worst. My DH was diagnosed first and then my DS. We tested me and DD but both blood works came back negative. Still exploring other options with my daughter because we think is was a false negative. One upside of having 2 celiacs in the house has been that it is a lot easier for Luke since we focus on him getting to eat just like Daddy. Take care and let us know how DH tests come back. :) Kendra

Agreed. Dairy is just as bad as gluten for me.

Many probiotics start with growing the bacteria on a dairy substrate leaving traces of dairy in the probiotics.   Many Celiacs react to dairy in the same way as they react to gluten because certain protein chains in dairy resemble gluten protein chains.   @Wheatwacked ferments his own pickles.  Perhaps he can chime in.

The AIP diet does have a vegetarian version.   Dr. Sarah Ballantyne developed the AIP diet for herself and her children, all Celiacs.  The AIP diet has been shown in scientific studies to promote intestinal healing.  You might visit her website.  https://www.thepaleomom.com/
