My boyfriend and I are going to Atlantic City in about a week (our first vacation together!) and I am trying to scope out some places for us to eat while we're there. I've already found a PF Changs near where we're staying, but I was just wondering if anybody else had any good gluten-friendly restaurant suggestions for the area.

Thanks guys!

We're not ignoring you--it's just that AC isn't a great place for gluten-free options. I spent a few days there last fall with my wife and two friends, and we ended up going to PF Changs two days in a row.

If you and your boyfriend are non-smokers (and from outside NJ), you will want to know this--restaurants in New Jersey are smoke-free now, but casinos are not.

Good luck!

Thanks, Ken.

I am hoping we like PF Changs as we've never been there before. I've heard they are really good with the gluten-free food though.

Luckily, my boyfriend and I are staying in a timeshare that has a microwave, refridge and stove, so we won't have to worry about eating all of our meals out, but I just thought it would be good to have some options. There are a couple upscale restaurants that I might check into, but I'm not sure yet.

AC does seem to be a hard city for Celiacs!

Cuba Libre (in the Tropicana) should be able to accomodate you. There is a also a crab shack in the Trop where you can just get crab legs and steamed shrimp. Other than that, I am not aware of many places in AC that are gluten free.

Thanks! We did a little research last night and found out that another Celiac-friendly restaurant, Buddakan, is coming to the Pier at Caesar's. But it's not going to open until the fall. Boo.

I did a gluten challenge. I ate bread yesterday. I immediately felt horrid. Depressed, fearful, angry.  I also had the weirdest night terrors and "day terrors" (delusions). They were do awful, that I am still terrified. How do gluten impact your dreams?

Thanks so much for replying!  No I haven't been limiting gluten prior to this test, I didn't know the Dr even tested for it until I got my results. These were the only celiac related pathology that was tested for. I am seeing my Dr on Monday so hopefully she can shed some more light!

New here as well lots of things learning I’ve discovered lots of foods have sneaky gluten so be mindful how is it going?? I have issues when I do cocktails 🍸 I don’t know if it is gluten free or not but get horrible side effects and so many others ooh well we are all learning how to cope with this….

Thanks a lot! I will search that too. I also talked to another doctor and she assured me there is no gluten in this type of antibiotics. Anyway i started the administration of Augmentin on my girl this evening. I hope there will be no problems.

Good afternoon, I don’t know if anyone here has ever tried Braswell’s products like their marmalades or jellies? Are they gluten-free? On the ingredients says “cane sugar, cherries (cherries, cane sugar), strawberries, corn syrup, pectin and citric acid. That ingredient list is from their berry preserve bottle. Most of them say the same for ingredients, but I’m not sure if it is okay to consume.
