wow, i cant belive what i herd come out of a celiacs mouth.

I was coming into work and a person from a van shouted out at my girlfriend. It turned out it was her aunt from her dads side. They got into a conversation and she all of a sudden said that she has a weat allergy. My girlfriend asked if she was celiac and she said yes thats what i have, my girlfriend told her that i have it also.

at this point after she called it a allergy i was already not going to listen to anything she said

so my girlfriend started to ask her what she eats and what not since im afriad to eat just about everything

she said well i eat just about everywhere " i got to taco time and get beef or chicken tacos its just corn and beef or chicken and lettece, they use the same fryer but it gets so hot its not a problem" at this point i was baffeled that she just said that then she continues "i just had my vitemens so i just had another episode" ok so why take the vitemens? find a gluten free alternative maybe :)

sheesh i wish i would have had time to talk to the lady because really she seems to be very unimformed about what she has( if she is giving herself "episodes" everyday then she is hurting herself everyday wether she realises it or not)

doctors make me sick, they send people home with no information

when i was dxed my doctor told me to go home and look celiac disease up online and live like i have it(still dont know if i do but im going to assume i do) luckly i found this bored but my question is what if i did not have the internet? i meen really is it not the doctors job to inform you on how to controle your heatlh... ok enough ranting about bed time and my fingers are so cold

I did a gluten challenge. I ate bread yesterday. I immediately felt horrid. Depressed, fearful, angry.  I also had the weirdest night terrors and "day terrors" (delusions). They were do awful, that I am still terrified. How do gluten impact your dreams?

Thanks so much for replying!  No I haven't been limiting gluten prior to this test, I didn't know the Dr even tested for it until I got my results. These were the only celiac related pathology that was tested for. I am seeing my Dr on Monday so hopefully she can shed some more light!

New here as well lots of things learning I’ve discovered lots of foods have sneaky gluten so be mindful how is it going?? I have issues when I do cocktails 🍸 I don’t know if it is gluten free or not but get horrible side effects and so many others ooh well we are all learning how to cope with this….

Thanks a lot! I will search that too. I also talked to another doctor and she assured me there is no gluten in this type of antibiotics. Anyway i started the administration of Augmentin on my girl this evening. I hope there will be no problems.

Good afternoon, I don’t know if anyone here has ever tried Braswell’s products like their marmalades or jellies? Are they gluten-free? On the ingredients says “cane sugar, cherries (cherries, cane sugar), strawberries, corn syrup, pectin and citric acid. That ingredient list is from their berry preserve bottle. Most of them say the same for ingredients, but I’m not sure if it is okay to consume.
