I'm going to bang my head against the wall. Remember all the troop drama from, oh, A MONTH AGO??? The parents who staged the coup CANNOT JUST LEAVE US ALONE AND GET ON WITH THEIR LIVES!

We're not cooperating with all of their demands, so they went over our heads, over the service unit director's head, and took it to council. Over badges. They're too chickenpoop to call either me or my co-leader at home outside of the times of 9am-5pm M-F when they both know WE WORK. They won't try our cells either. And then they complain that they can't reach us. TO COUNCIL. They already unsuccessfully tried to freeze our bank account because they wanted the money out of it. They also didn't like the answers the service unit director gave them either, which is why they went over her head. Even though council is the one that gave her those answers.

And then one of them had the nerve to come up to us at an event last weekend and pretend that nothing happened.

WHAT IN THE HELL IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?!?!?!?!?!?!

Thanks for all the suggestion for my Uggs! I think they would look best with jeans too....guess I'll have to wait a couple more months. Julie....I LOVE jeans too.....they're comfy....go with everything and always stylish. I've been stuck on Abercrombie jeans for awhile now....not exactly the cheapest...but I just love them.

I have similair Ugg clogs. I wear them with everything in the winter (I should have brought them to Australia. I knew I was missing something. Dang reversal of the seasons). The clogs are good with jeans and super handy to wear to yoga. Er - on the way to yoga. (I just pictured myself trying to do yoga in my Uggs ....I do rarely take them off when it's cold outside though).

My mom just gave me a pair of her leggings. I had no idea they were back in style.

She ordered them and was sent an extra small instead of small so she gave them to me. I havent tried them on yet...she said if I dont like them I can wear them around the house or to bed.

I love it when that happens. About half my wardrobe is stuff my mom ordered in the wrong size .

Sure has been quiet in here this afternoon/evening.

School has been going well all things considering. My daughter enjoys it when she's not being too hard on herself. Today was one of those days. She expects to do things perfectly the first time. I told her if we did everything perfect the first time that there would be no point in going to school as long, nor any fun in learning. She didn't realize that she needed to be in school until she's 17 or 18.

We are going to my moms again this Sunday but are not eating dinner there this time. She knows we are gun shy after last time.

This is an addition to my prior thread several pages ago.

The Bob Fosse stage show I didn't like was "A Chorus Line" and it's now coming back on Broadway.

also returning to NYC is "The Fantastiks" which I liked much much better. "The Fantastiks" has a small ensemble cast, music (major song: Try to Remember (the kind of September) ). It's serious, and humorous, you'll cry and it has a story that will reach every member of the audience young or old. You'll remember what it was like to be a young person and identify with the adults of show. The theme is poignant and you'll also hum the music as you are leaving. This show was always "Off Broadway" and ran for over 30 years as such. I'd recommend Fantastiks over A Chorus Line.

I will be away for a little over a week, so everyone have a safe Labor Day weekend.

I mustn't grumble though-the leggings see me through my 3 pregnancies (elastic waist a must)and I do affectionately call them the leggings years.

I only hope shoulder pads don't come back in (definitely one for the fashion police)

Rachel-I love Abercrombie jeans-and my pair is falling apart! I love Levis too.

I think I'd like to be in the part of R/ville that is in the high 70's temperature in the day-dropping at night (so I can get cosy)

My Uggs are still in the closet. I was going to try and wear them today, as its chilly and we are waiting for the 60 mph winds to hit, courtesy of Ernesto. I have the pair that is just plain beige and are about calf length. I also have the pair that go up to your knees, they are beige and the tongue of the boot is a chocolate color, they were one of Oprahs favorite things last year. They are sooo comfortable.

I am loving those clogs that Rachel has! I want a pair. I am going to have to find them somewhere. even though the back is open.. do they still keep your feet warm in the winter?

You know, I'd probably like Ugg's more if I lived in the northeast. As it is, I live in Texas where it is too hot for the devil himself to stay (he went up to DC, oops, did I say that! ), probably a good 20 degrees hotter than hell. Year round. It can be 70 and people will complain that it's cold.

I didn't live here when it snowed a couple of years ago, but even then I had said, "well I'm going to have to ice skate home, because hell has literally frozen over."

Yea, I always joke that people in Texas are unlikely to sin ... they've got a good idea of what hell feels like!!

The winter we got married, it snowed in Austin, something like 6 inches! The snow went all the way down into Mexico. Of course they had to take pictures of it so we'd believe it as we were on our honeymoon! All the people that came down to Texas from Ohio and Indiana did not get the benefit of warmer weather. At least they knew how to drive in the snow!!

Not really sure Stephanie....I havent worn them out yet. I've only tried them on a couple times and they're really snug and cozy like my other Uggs. I live in Ca so even in the winter I dont think the open back will make that much difference. Probably depends how cold it gets where you live.

Julie, they are not plastic..the feel more like a NERF ball or something, and they are the most comfortable thing I have ever had on my feet. They LOOK plastic, but they are not. Wierd.

I have seen these shoes!! I've seen them everywhere!! I guess I never knew they were called Crocs.

I think I'll pass on them though.....unless maybe they have some that are tangerine. I've been looking for tangerine sandals all summer with no luck.

Well...actually I probably wouldnt buy them cuz I'm looking for "cute" sandals.

If the Crocs were cheap I'd buy them....did someone say they were expensive?? I would pay $20.

Hi! Sept 1st was the first day of Spring here and bam...it's 80 degrees . Guess I don't need my Uggs after all. My job ended , which is sad becasue I loved that job, despite the excessive amounts of milk and biscuits I was required to carry through the city everyday. There was a yoga studio across the street from the office so I went to yoga everyday at lunch...and...and....this is the exciting part....there was a place next door to work that sold the muffins! Seriously....OMG, the muffins are everywhere!!!!!!!!!! They're made out of almond meal, egg, baking powder, sugar and then either raspberry and coconut, chocolate, orange or lemon. Someone out there with a decent oven should try to make them.....They seriously rock

What else? um...it looks like I might be heading to the outback soon (I'm totally not talking about the place with the gluten-free menu )

I look here for respite from the real; world. Believe it or not, I can deal with all the medical issues better than I can deal with my DH and his passive aggressivness

It is a lethal combination with my PMS which is building right now. We moved into this house 6 months ago - I unpacked all the boxes, even put up the tools in the garage on pegboard, Was told by DH to elave the resdt and he would get to it...he had 3 weeks off, we only went away for 4 days in those 3 weeks and he touched NOTHING, I had to pack over boxes of his University notes - form 25 yrs ago...cause he doesnt want to throw it out....our storage room is filled with stuff like that...his solution - build a storage shed outside ...aarrrrrrrrrrghhhhhh not deal with..

Ok ok I am venting now, no need to go on, and on.

If you looked up passive aggressive, that's what I need to escape.........

gawd I hate hormonal rages and grown men who want me to decide everything then be mad cause I take control...............

Part of it is fatigue - we went on a long hike yesterday - 2 kids , the dog and DH. Dh kept walking ahead and was oblivious to son or I needing to stop and snack so we wouldn get low ... it was vigorous hike...then when we did stop he would be grabbing gluten-free trail mix from daughter and getting mad cause she wouldnt share - well, hmm he had snacks and options in his backpack..so i sort out the difficulties there while helping ds with finding glucose meter and holding on to dog who just spotted squirrel.....and then he doesnt understand why I get frustrated...

Ok, maybe I am the Bit** and need to calm down...a cup of green tea sounds like it may do the trick....

wonder if vodka goes with that

and then check on ds who has stomach ache..eerily similar to daughter's tummy just before she had appendectomy...except no vomiting . It may just be constipation - we'll see

Totally sympathise with the PMS (and the husband that hasn't done what you asked)

You'll just have to ask him again (and then you get accused of nagging!-arghhhh)

Seriously though,the older I get,the worse the PMS gets for me(I'm 37)

I can be downright evil-like a thing possessed.It's like all these nasty things are coming out of my mouth-and in my mind I'm saying ''shut-up''-but I can't stop myself.

As soon as my period starts-I'm sweetness and light and my mood lifts,and my hubby says

'Oh that was why you were so foul to me last week'
