I dont know if this is new to anyone else.. but it is new to me. I have been craving since the start of this diet, regular ole breaded fish sticks! I love them! I have now found a brand that is gluten free it says it right on the back of the package.

For you more sensitive people, it does clearly state that it is made in a facility that produce wheat, nuts and the like.

The name of the company is Dr. Preagars. They make potato crusted fish sticks, fish fillets and what they call fishies for kids. They also make gluten free potato pancakes, spinach cakes and broccoli cakes too. So far I have only tried the fish sticks.. first I baked them.. they taste good, but not really crispy. The left overs I had I just fried up now.. and they are pretty good. Still not as crispy as say Gortons, but good still.

My boyfriend works for ShopRite and they sell them in the regular frozen department. They are sooo good!!!

Hm, I too miss the good ol' fish sticks! I grew up on those things!! I'll have to look around and see if I can find them :) Wasn't sure if anyone made gluten-free fish sticks. I did experiment a few weeks ago with a potato crust halibut recipe, which turned out pretty good :) I added too much season salt though :P I liked the potato flavor/texture though.

Thanks for posting about the fish sticks. I still haven't found the breadless coating chicken that Publix 'supposedly' carries. I don't know where there is a ShopRite around here but I'll have to investigate.

I also found another awesome gluten-free product. It's a kit kat type bar made by Schar. They also make my fave gluten-free pasta but their stuff is pricey. There are 3 bars in the pack of chocolate wafer bars (forgot the name and they're all gone now) and they cost $4.50 so that's $1.50 per bar. But I only eat 1/2 at a time because they are high in fat/cal. They are soooooooooooo good though and I love being able to hear and feel that crunch and not have a nasty aftertaste! I do not think this item would ship well at all but I found mine at health food place in Atlanta.

Welcome to the forum, @mariamccl! It is outrageous that you have to wait so long for a GI appointment! I assume you are in the UK from your use of "mum" for your mother. That is par for the course I understand in the current UK medical system. I am glad you went private concerning the camera. Will this also include a biopsy of the small bowel lining?

Hello Scott,   Yes I have done all that and I am eating chips and turtles, and  gluten free pasta. But still nothing. Why is that have little appetite?

Hi all,  I'm a 25 year old female. My mum and uncle both have celiac disease. I have suspected celiac disease but blood test came back negative. I was on the waiting list to see a gastroenterologist but it was 73 weeks waiting so I've decided to pay to get a camera done which is happening next month - I can't wait to get some answers. I feel like I'm going crazy and just want some reassurance. My symptoms are constipation and diarrhea - nothing in between. Headaches almost every day that have progressed to migraines now. I start feeling extreme fatigue at around 4-5pm every day along with dizziness, muscles weakness, shaking, heart racing. My mental health has declined and I just feel like I'm losing my mind. I'm at the point now that I want a diagnosis so I can at least feel better even if it is life changing. Today I've started to feel what I can only explain as a lump in my throat like I haven't fully swallowed something. It's quite painful especially when I eat. It goes away and then comes back. Feels like my symptoms are getting worse and worse and I just want to feel like myself again. I hope some people can relate to these experiences - I feel like up until I paid to go privately no one has listened to me or taken me seriously.   Thanks x

Thank you! This will be so helpful.  It’s overwhelming for sure!

Are there any things that you enjoy eating that you can have gluten-free versions of? For example, pizza, mac & cheese, pasta, etc? If so, perhaps try to include those in your diet more until your appetite recovers. Of course cannabis is famous for improving appetites, but I would only go that direction if you have serious weight + appetite issues that you can't solve via other methods.
