I just found their website (www.everybodyeats-inc.com) and saw that they offer gluten free challah. I wrote an email asking if it was also lactose free and it is. They responded quickly and it was a nice email so I was impressed with them. Has anyone ever tried anything from there? They offer lots of things and, looking at the photos, everything looks delicious. Thanks!

A few weeks ago I ordered a birthday cake from them. However, it came completely melted. I called them and told them this and they were yelling at me telling me that it took them 3 days to make. When I asked them if they could make another one they hung up on me. I've tried some of their products at gluten-free vendor fairs and it's been pretty good but after ordering from them once I don't believe I will ever do it again.

I have been saying Everybody Eats is one of the best places to get excellent food items. I have ordered several times , I did have a small problem with one thing --it was at the busy time of year and they graciously with no problem sent me a refund for the item. They did not scream or yell at me, Bruce just said he was sorry I wasn't happy with the one thing and a refund came very quickly. They have the very best crusty rolls & baguettes,pizza was good too. I ordered ravoili but I haven't tried them yet , they got lost in my chest freezer!!!!!I don't think I would order iced cakes or anything like that in the summer time. The delivery isn't alway what we hope for so I wouldn't chance that myself.

I understand the second poster being upset because the cake melted or whatever but really I'm sure they did not want or expect that to happen either. flukes happen . I believe it was most likely the delivery was careless and slower than it should have been. I have sent things overnite &it still took two days or longer.

Most people who have sampled their foods all love them....

I just had a $275 order from them as I freeze it ..

Any time I speak or E-mail Bruce he has alway been very polite to me...

If you have a support group ask that they send some samples to your group, I know sometimes they even go tho the support groups in person.

Final thought: I have no vested interest in this bakery--- I just think the items are one of the best out there at present.....

Thank you so much for your responses - the challah is their photo looks so good and I just would feel terrible if my daughter couldn't have challah for the holidays. I just can't find a good recipe to make it myself. The weather's starting to get cooler now and bread doesn't melt so I think I'll give it a try. I never spoke with them but, like I had said before, they did respond with a very nice email. Thanks again!

I've had several things from them that were all very good. If you are already ordering, order the pizza. I know it's pricey, but it's incredible!

I love love love their cinnamon rolls. Cinnabun shminabun!

Their pizza is also good, as are the cookies and the ravioli.

They were nice when I dealt with them, but on my order this past Christmas, the order definitely was late (didn't make it in time for Christmas, as they had promised). I think that maybe with all of the news of how GOOD their food is, their business must be picking up - time to hire more employees!

that is when I had my problem but mine did arrive in time-- different problem. And Yes, its only the two of them and they do everything by hand. I told Bruce he will need to hire help but I think he wants quality over quantity. I can't say that for certain but I think that...

We all just need to put in our orders ahead of the busy season!!!!!!

      Thank you for the update.  So interesting to know how things are changing, when I was diagnosed I had very similar blood results but still had to have the endoscopy.  Glad you know where you stand.  As your father has celiac disease you probably already know a lot about it, but do contact us if we can help further.

      So the way it should be used is to take it before possible gluten exposure, so right before a meal at a restaurant take 1-2 capsules. Unfortunately taking it 1 hour or more after an exposure is too late.

Since you’ve found relief with a gluten- and corn-free diet, it might be worth continuing that approach for now, especially given your current commitments to culinary classes. You could consider working with a knowledgeable dietitian or a gastroenterologist who specializes in food intolerances and celiac disease to explore potential intolerances or other conditions without immediately reintroducing gluten. If confirming celiac disease is important for your long-term health management, you could plan for an endoscopy during a less busy period, ensuring you follow the gluten challenge protocol beforehand. In the meantime, prioritizing your well-being and avoiding known triggers seems like a practical step. Always advocate for yourself with doctors, and seek second opinions if needed—your health concerns are valid. Many people with celiac disease, especially those who are in the 0-2 year range of their recovery, have additional food intolerance issues which could be temporary. To figure this out you may need to keep a food diary and do an elimination diet over a few months. Some common food intolerance issues are dairy/casein, eggs, corn, oats, and soy. The good news is that after your gut heals (for most people who are 100% gluten-free this will take several months to two years) you may be able to slowly add some these items back into your diet after the damaged villi heal.       Welcome to the forum, @Ryangf! If you don't have celiac disease you could still have NCGS (Non Celiac Gluten Sensitivity). They share many of the same symptoms but NCGS does not damage the lining of the small bowel as does celiac disease. Some experts feel NCGS can be a precursor to the development of celiac disease. NCGS is 10x more common than celiac disease. There is no test for it. A diagnosis of NCGS is arrived at by first ruling out celiac disease by formal testing. At the end of the day the antidote for both is the same, namely, life-long abstinence from gluten. Yes, corn is a common cross-reactor with gluten for some celiacs. So are oats, soy, eggs and dairy.  I have concern with your possible exposure to wheat flour dust during your culinary training. It gets in the air, you breathe it in, it gets trapped in the mucous of your mouth and airway and winds up in your gut. If you decide to go forward wit the "gluten challenge" for formal celiac disease testing, aim for the daily consumption of 10g of gluten (about the amount in 4-6 slices of wheat bread) for four weeks leading up to the day of either the blood draw or the endoscopy/biopsy.
