Vision Improving?

Hi everyone,

I have horrible vision and was declared legally blind at a young age. If it weren't for the magic of thin-lens-creators, I would have five inch thick glasses :P

Anyway, I am near-sighted, but have trouble seeing anything past two inches from my face. About seven years ago, I all of a sudden had to read (like in bed, a novel) with my glasses on, and I was irritated... Laying on a pillow with glasses smushed in your face is relatively uncomfortable.

So the other day, I woke up and read for a little. About twenty minutes in, I realized I wasn't wearing my glasses, for the first time in... Well, I can't remember!

Has anyone's vision improved? Ironically, my other vision (optic/MS-like symptoms) are more obvious than ever, but man, this was sorta neat!

Congratulations !! :)

I've noticed that my glasses are too strong for me now. Everything is huge when I have them on. So, I am wearing them less. I haven't been tested to confirm anything yet.

It'll be interesting to see though. Pun intented. :)

My sister used to get really bad ocular migranes. She said her vision would be really fuzzy like a broken TV screen. My mom is an eye doctor and they sent my sister to tons of eye doctors and none of them could figure out what it was. But when she went gluten-free, it got better.

HAHAH!

My eyes are the same for seeing far away (IE my glasses are fine), but my close up stuff is getting oddly better.

wozzy - that's good news! unfortunately, that wasn't my situation, otherwise i'd be more hopeful.

I have been wearing glasses since grade school (now I wear contacts) and every time I get my eyes checked my prescription is a little worse. I just recently went to get my eyes checked again (first time after going gluten free) and my prescription actually got a little less strong. I was really surprised because I thought it would get stronger. I wonder if it has anything to do with going gluten free.

Hello there, it's been ages since I signed into this account. Wanted to see if there were other celiac patients that have gone through perimenopause/menopause and chose to take estrogen or wear an estrogen patch? I know all of our bodies are different but curious how it went or is going for you. Thanks so much.

I believe I've seen them at Costco still in the shells (in the frozen seafood area), which might be a safe way to go.

A dedicated rack is a great idea if everyone in the house understands and supports the idea, and just to clarify, I didn't recommend just wiping the rack down, but washing it well in soap and hot water.

Thanks, I appreciate you getting back to me.  Sometimes the retailers don't have content info on products they sell and they have rewrapped them with no ingredients list. Guess I'll stick to prepackaged medalions with all the info.

I find that I sometimes have symptoms due to cross-contact with foods that *might* be contaminated in the processing. 100% gluten-free certification is something I look for in every processed food I consume.
