Sorry if this is gross, but for the past two or three days I am having what I think must be normal "poop".

Like, really solid, fat poop. I think it must be normal! But I am amazed that I don't recognize this!

LMAO! Don't worry Spunky! We are quite comfortable with "discussing the quality of poop"! You would be amazed how many threads there are from people who have sheer joy at finally having a normal BM after going gluten free. You have the "I wanted to take a picture of it!" to the "I called the whole family in to take a look at it" to the "I literally did the happy dance!".

Go ahead, celebrate! We all celebrate when someone finally sees the positive effects of the gluten free diet.

It's true, we're all so happy when one of us experiences a normal bowel movement. :lol: Has anyone ever been so elated that they suddenly featured their new poop in their avatar pic? :lol::lol:

After my first normal poop, I came out of that loo singing "It's the real thing". I'm showing my age here, it is an old cocacola song sang by the New Seekers, probably around the 70's. I guess I should've been a little bit more hip and sang "I'm so excited", which I was, so maybe that song the next time.

Only another celiac could understand the need to celebrate the shape form and color of a normal poop! I must have stood over the toilet peering in for 10 minutes the first time it happened. Congrats and although you may be tempted a photo poster in your living room might get a few strange looks. :lol:

      I have no specific recommendations but I would suggest looking for products that are advertised as produced in a dedicated gluten-free facility. That should eliminate one possible route of cross contamination. It doesn't guarantee that none of the ingredients going into the product are totally gluten free but is should eliminate adding more CC to the mix via processing machinery.  One of the issues you may be experiencing is that testing has shown that a significant percentage of "Certified Gluten Free" products can test far in excess of 10ppm. There was an article appearing in this forum back last summer outlining the results of testing that showed this to be true. So, it may be somewhat of a pig in a poke when you buy this stuff, regardless of how it is billed. It may be safe for you if it actually fits within the stated requirements of it's billing.

      I can still have a reaction from “certified gluten free” products I don’t like having to use the eat and see what my body does approach are there really any purely gluten free products or do I just have to make all of my own food?

      Hi I just wanted to update you all and let you know that I finally have my diagnosis. 2 weeks ago I had my third gastroscopy and the biopsy confirmed the damage. Thank you for giving me the information I needed to advocate for myself when I a was a feeling so lost!
