Does anyone have a quick and easy way to make chicken nuggets? I dont have any mashed potato flakes. I am in the process of making bread and my son loves only grilled cheese. so i want to try and give him chicken nuggets..

Any suggestions???

1 pound chicken breast, cubed

1 egg + 2 Tbsp milk

1 cup gluten-free flour blend

2 tsp season salt

1. Beat egg and milk in medium sized bowl.

2. Mix flour mix with season salt in a second bowl.

3. Dip chicken tenders in egg bowl, then toss in a second bowl with seasoned flour mix.

Fry in skillet with 1/2 - 1 inch oil. Turn to cook on all sides.

They also make frozen gluten-free chicken nuggets...kind of expensive though!

They're *VERY* expensive!!!!!!!!If I buy the Ian's they're $4.99 a box which is absolutely ridiculous!!! <_< I wind up eating whatever my kids don't finish b/c they're so expensive. I'd much rather make nuggets and freeze them.

I'll definately give this recipe a try!

I do something similar to this, except I use finely crushed gluten-free corn flakes, and I bake them for about 10 mins at 400F. Dip them in Cattlemen's BBQ - YUM!

You could do any unsweetened gluten free cereal crushed seasoned with garlic, onion, paprika, and pepper. Dip into egg/milk mixture, then into the crushed cereal. Bake or fry.

Parmesean cheese also works for breading if you mix it with some gluten free flour.

I've used Cheetohs for breading. Doritos also work.

Thanks you all for the info. I've got some semi-stale corn flakes I can now use for something! (I hate to be wasteful). B)

I love the Bell & Evans gluten free chicken nuggets. I eat atleast a box of them every week. You should be able to find them at Whole Foods.

When you first look at it, it's pricey but then I realized I get 2 meals out of 1 box so it really only works out to about $3 a meal. Definately not expensive when you look at it that way.

      Is it worth it to remove gluten before they potentially do an endoscopy & biopsy? I thought I read it’s best to be eating gluten for 3 months prior to it. So hoping they have a cancellation and call us in sooner.

      Thank you for the warning. I get blood tests twice a year to check where I stand with the vitamins I regularly take, so I appreciate the extra reminder. I know some vitamins don’t build up but now I will watch the B6 for sure.

      I think you would do well to take a high potency B-complex such that you get more balanced dosage across the spectrum of B vitamins. They work in concert.

      Around 5 years ago I visited Tokyo, and luckily had my sister in law with me who is from there, otherwise it would have been more difficult. The bottom line is that there are tons of naturally gluten-free food options there, but you need to be able to communicate your needs to restaurant staff. Here is a gluten-free restaurant card for American visitors in Tokyo. It includes a request for a gluten-free meal and mentions common gluten-containing ingredients to avoid, like soy sauce and miso. Japanese:   You can also download the Google Translate app, and besides being able to help you speak with people there about this, it has a camera app that translates Japanese text to English in your camera, so you can use it when shopping in a supermarket.
