Wish I could've joined y'allz, but the Fiesta Bowl w/ Texas vs. Ohio State takes precedence.

Soooooooooo . ...I'll be hoping for some answers again next week. (But can't take the disappointment borne of believing I'll actually get some)

Flying to Phx next Mon, then the ___oscopies Tues, MRIs Wed, GI doc Thurs & somewhere in there an Immunologist/Allergist appt, which I can only hope is more than "hey yer not allergic to diddly".

[Oops!! Halftime over gtg!]

Hope you git yerself some of them there answers, thomm.

Fiesta Bowl is on here, too . . . hubby went to Texas.

Good Morning, Psillies!

Lookin' through me magic mirror at the start of this day, wondering what it will bring....

Romper, Stomper, Bomper, Boo

Tell me, tell me, tell me do,

Magic Mirror, tell me today,

Have all my friends had fun at play?

Man, all I can say is, Mr. Do Bee scared the sh!t outta me.....this huge Bee-man......much like a terrifying clown. He said nothing. . . .just bobbed around, making large, frightening gestures with his huge gloved hands. I think a lot of us four-year olds were frightened of him. Not Miss Helen, however. . . . I remember her being quite upset about me keeping far away from Mr. Don't Bee, reprimanding me between takes, whispering rather fiercely that I must smile and cavort around the huge man/insect.

Gad, where is Miss Helen now? Would love to meet up with her, ask her how she really felt about the whole anthropomorphism-of-a-bee theme. Methinks she was a little uncomfortable around him, as well, but needed the paycheck. . . . . .....

:lol::rolleyes:

Ran over Boz's extended shoe & he said "Hey! I keep my lunch in there!" :D

HEY!!!!.........didn't anybody like my 'Mom Song' video?.........harrumph!

Leeeesa! Ya got Bevved good! I larfed....very clever!

Great av, Ptaoughmghmn! Is this your very own eyeball?

DingoGirl Enthusiast

OMG that do-be song :o:lol: no WONDER I've blocked it out - - was definitely NOT a do-be, my poor mum......rebellious, rule-breaking devil child...... I was a PET-LOVER but not a sit-stiller or a plate-cleaner or a.......well none of those things, really. Wasn't a dress-wearer either - poor mum, always trying to force me into dresses and there'd be a screaming match......

and how in hell do you REMEMBER those Romper Room songs? my gawd, I just have HUGE chunks of memory missing in my brain

SIllies - why am I up - took tranqs to sleep, didn't work, arose at 4 - slamming down coffee, this is going to be a looooooooooooooooong day

HEY!!!!.........didn't anybody like my 'Mom Song' video?.........harrumph!

have been quite cranky you silly but yes, DO like the mom song!!!!!!!!!! :P

TOM - yer av    That means - gianknit has got to get Smack's eye vert up there also

this coffee tastes like A$$ and I don't know why

I was worried all night about my boobs........had a dream I needed to get a boob job for a promotion, it was the right thing to do in the dream........now have been afflicted with it again and scheming how I can come up with six thousand dollars

I DESERVE THE BOOBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Weezel is disquieted when we arise before 7 (usually it's more like 8 and into work at 9-ish) and so - she stays in my bed having a lay-in sleep-in, eyes squinty and tired and a bit confused looking that mommy is up, she observes all of this from her snug little Weezel-bug position on me bed

quite lonely here at this hour

Hi, guys. I'm new here :) (and slightly funny)

Just wanted to share that I just accidentally shed a hair in my own breakfast and freaked myself out :o All is well now.

Started reading "Living Gluten Free For Dummies" this morning on the train. It's not the best book, I'm sure, but I've been GI for almost a year now, and figured I should start actually reading books, not just the internet. *gasp*

Oh, and joined yesterday. Not quite a "New Year's resolution" but more like a fresh start and it's about darn time I did something to reach out for help and also give others a helping hand with what little I've learned.

Enough serious stuff. I'm gonna run back a couple pages to look at some psillyness :P

What a thing to be teaching kids. I'm perfect and you're not (?):lol:

Hope everyone is as well as can be. Another gloomy, dreary day. Tawwmmm, good luck finding answers. Maybe some of your answers would work for me  One never knows about these things. 'Tis a mystery to me.....and all our doctors too apparently.

Blue google smurfs are still talking about hair loss...wish they cut it out!

Suess...I missed your mom song....must search for it!

Not sure what Romper Room is... I grew up in the suburbs of Illinois with no cable...

Uh-oh, I should consult these rules too. Gotta mind my p's and q's in this new, faraway place. (I'm already a member of a forum for DJs and music lovers where I'm one of few cool girls with a brain, so I tend to spout off at them at will) :P

Oh, and I'll (hopefully) be getting a name change soon. I go by Belle on the interweb :) Hope my silly toaster avvy isn't bothering anyone

Scott, I know full well that celiac disease is an autoimmune disorder and gluten sensitivity is not. And I agree that there is inconsistency in the use of the terms. But my contention is that "gluten intolerance" should not be used of NCGS since "gluten sensitivity" is actually found in the gluten disorder known as Non Celiac Gluten Sensitivity and, therefore, "gluten intolerance" should be reserved as a common/nonmedical equivalent for celiac disease. It also seems to me that "intolerance" implies something more severe than does "sensitive". And it just seems to me that, though there is still a lot of inconsistency in the use of these terms, there is a movement toward using "gluten intolerant" to refer to celiac disease rather than NCGS. But that is just my opinion and perhaps, to be honest, a bit of a personal crusade. Actually, we would all be better off if we quit using the those informal terms "intolerance" and "sensitivity" and just speak of celiac disease and NCGS.

Wow. I mean, I REALLY don't want to give up beer, but I NEVER cheat. I get caught (glutenized in my vernacular), but I never cheat. I didn't even know that was a thing...

PS - Many new celiacs report that they can go gluten-free, with the exception of giving up beer. That seems to be a bridge too far from many celiacs, and may be why nearly 20% cheat on their diets:
    • Scott Adams
For those with celiac disease we know that there is a huge range in sensitivity, for example we've had many members here who report that even smelling wheat bread cooking in a bakery, for example a bakery in a supermarket, triggers an immediate gluten reaction that can last days or longer. Is there science to back this up--not that I've seen. Does this mean that it can't happen? Since it does seem to happen to some people, I can't say that there isn't something real happening to these folks.  Similarly there seems to be celiacs who can drink even regular beers, many of which have detectable gluten at under 20ppm, without issues, and many drink gluten reduced beers made from barley on a daily basis without issues, and without elevated antibodies or damaged villi. I also know that some celiacs report getting very sick from a single sip of gluten reduced beer. To be on the safe side it's probably best to stick with a naturally gluten-free beer, however, many of them lack the real beer taste, thus, some celiacs cheat on their diets and just drink regular beer. In this case I think having a choice is important, and drinking a gluten reduced option would be better than regular beer.
