did you all REALLY think I was that evil

Absolutely not . . . we thought you would get a kick out of our subterfuge.

And quite frankly, in the beginning, I really didn't think we could do it . . . but with the help of musical lyrics and shopping lists, we managed.

Em said WEENAL

Yeah, she seems to work that in whenever possible . . .

and CRAP, I'm only on page 20 er sumphin

. . . but really now . . . in the scheme of things, those 20 pages went pretty quick, didn't they?

I'm enjoying your recap also . . . I've already seen a post that I didn't see before . . . :huh::lol::lol:

ok, Suse needs a distraction from herself. Let's review what Jess has learned in the last three days.

Lesson 1. Stew and computers don't mix.

Lesson 2. Your wireless router stores the password, not your stewed computer.

Lesson 3. Comcast won't tell you lesson 2 unless you know enough to ask.

Lesson 4. Humongous hard drive storage is made possible by serial ATA drives.

Lesson 5. Serial ATA drives don't fit in your hard drive enclosure kit for converting the stack of HDs you're acquiring by trashing your computers with frightening regularity.

Lesson 6. Costco sells 1.5 liters of wine for $7 (OK. I already knew that one).

Tabbees are not evil. I had two girl tabs that were 1.snuggly, 2.clever. And Max is a tabby, and he's just a love muffin.

I had a tabbee . . . she only loved me  . . . tolerated a few others . . . insisted on being an outside cat (by repeatedly peeing on the kitchen counter) but would never stray farther than the neighbors yard and would come back to the garage every night . . . would only come when I called her :smugface2:

Wish we could all be there for you, hon. You know we are all here for you, though. :)

A pivotal lesson required in every facet of life, and one that will get you through: Always know the right question to ask.

Wow. Lucky sots.....Up here, only Quebec allows consumers to purchase alcohol in regular stores. We need to go to the Liquor Store or the Beer Store, run by the provincial governments. Bah.

Morning Sillies-

its back to work today- I am so tired!

I did get the entire house unpacked today and that is pretty well organized for the moment. We brought lots of things from the apartment but we still do have a lot over there. I am hoping that on our days off we get the rest undone. We are off Weds-Friday this week. Exciting. I think a whole days rest will be in store for me.

We decided to skip the Steelers party last night, after the weekend I just didnt have the energy. I think we will skip going to the apartment after work today. There is no mail today so I won't worry about picking anything up. I just want to get settled in, although we have gotten that done pretty well.

More later sillies--work is calling!

OMG yeah! Our phirst cat, Hudson was a Tabby and the sweetest, most intelligent lil guy. He'd come running to the front door when we got home and even liked to go out in the car (we'd sometimes take him to my parent's house).

Our tortise shell was named Penny. So pretty and so aloof.....I was pretty much the only person she liked--she tolerated the guys but completely disappeared under a bed if there was anyone else in the house.

Washington sells beer and wine in grocery stores, hard liquor in the state run stores, most of which aren't open on Sunday. I just heard the stores on the reservation also sell the hard stuff, presumably so you can get good 'n' soused before buying all your illegal fireworks and shooting them at the ferry boats

I believe in Cali they sell anything, anytime.

jerseyangel Proficient

Here, you can only buy beer (by the case only) at a "beer store". If you want a 6-pack, you have to go to a bar or hotel and purchase it there.

Wine and other liquors are only found at the Wine and Spirits stores. Nothing at grocery stores.

You know . . . come to think of it . . .

The cat that I had passed away over 9 years ago . . .the mention of toroiseshell made me go look at the difference between tabbies and torties . . . I have come to the conclusion that she was a torbie (I did not make that up) . . . she was tabbie about the front legs and face and torti about the back and toes . . . :D . . . and apparently, her personality was a little from both.

Why is it 'torbie' and not 'tattie'?

Correct. I’m doing both in the same go though. Thanks for clarifying before I confused someone. I’m doing a colonoscopy for something else and then they added the endoscopy after the test.
    • trents
It is a biopsy but it's not a colonoscopy, it's an endoscopy.
    • Skg414228
Well I’m going on the gluten farewell tour so they are about to find out lol. I keep saying biopsy but yeah it’s a scope and stuff. I’m a dummy but luckily my doctor is not.
    • trents
The biopsy for celiac disease is done of the small bowel lining and in conjunction with an "upper GI" scoping called an endoscopy. A colonoscopy scopes the lower end of the intestines and can't reach up high enough to get to the small bowel. The endoscopy goes through the mouth, through the stomach and into the duodenum, which is at the upper end of the intestinal track. So, while they are scoping the duodenum, they take biopsies of the mucosal lining of that area to send off for microscopic analysis by a lab. If the damage to the mucosa is substantial, the doc doing the scoping can often see it during the scoping.
