back later for some wine - who's with me? Rach? Geoss? Padt? Em? Who's gonna be drinking with me tonight? DON"T MAKE ME DRINK ALONE :blink:

We won't, suze...I'm here with you, relaxing on the back deck late in (our) evening, sipping on a lovely Martini.

My expose' shot would most certainly be of me sans bra, sitting on my porch smoking.e'll be your therapists, Suze.

Or at least your drinking partners

A shirtless, smoking hag?

I almost never wear a bra - don't need to

Yes, MEET AT SHROOMIE'S!!!!!!!!!!!! In Tahoe......how wondrous it would be to be there now.........get outta this blasted heat

Yes........be my therapists!!!!!! What I really need is just more peeps in my life.(PEEEEEEEEEEEETERRRRRRRRRR!!!!!! - come back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Well, Susie, it seems we have something else in common. I never wear a bra. I would be willing to to offer an assessment should we ever be fortunate enought to meet in person. But what I care about is what is between your ears, not what is on your chest.

I'm here, perched with a very large glass of chablis at my side. I have packed two 2-litre bottles of wine for three days on Wards Island. Do we all feel that this is enough?

Hmm...... . ..'tis quite a raucous, music-and-singing-fueled weekend . . .....dunno.

Maths coming. Two 2-litre bottles over three days. (2+2)/3 makes 1.33 liters per day. Adequate, I suppose, as long as you are not planning to share it with somebody.

Hey all! Just catching up! It's kinda like the old "cliff hangers" (or worse...soap operas). Hey pholks! Tune in next time for the answers to these important questions: Will Gshanett get the job? (truly hope so), is Hey Jude still in the dungeon...or working on another home project? Is she still smoke free? What was Pah-tays comment on FB about nectarines vs. Peaches (how can you not like peaches?) will Ems Dad be released from the health-care imprisonment for good outrageous behavior? Is Skittles allergy food related? Will Pseuss find her tickle-bone intact and fill Psillyville with sunshine and laughter? Hang on to your seat to learn about Tel's new watermelon and how he chooses to deal with it!

Mornin! Ray-chull.....you sent yer rain here  Take it back!!! We've had rain enough this spring and need to save some of it for summer. Been given the weekend off.....planned some hikes and outdoor chores...and blammo! Heavy rain and pserious pstorms coming our way. Drat! Guess I'll have to study....now in Anatomy and Medical Terminology (what fun).

Psuess (Minimom, too)....time just goes. It goes way too fast and goes faster as we get older. It's a crazy ride and all you can do is hold on.....but laugh and scream and enjoy it. Don't waste too much time on mid-life (or any stage-life) crises. The crisis in not real. The fear and angst is not real. Hell....do you really want to spend all of that precious time curled up under the blankets with Worry and Pain and Fear? They are no phun at all! They suck the laughter right out of your mouth. Go outside and play with Youthfullness and Abandon and Joy....they are great friends to have. And when you gotta be a grownup....work, clean, whatever.....do your best to have fun with that too. If you gotta work, and work hard the least you can do is have a laugh with it..or at least try.

That's it for todays lesson! Professor Teds Philosophy <_< Hope you don't mind my spilling some gunk out of my brain in your presence.

Em-N-Em...hope your having a great time! Pieter...always enjoy seeing you here. Miss seeing Tickle Tawwwm! Better shut down.....it's terribly black-sky gloomy out the window.....maybe I'll go play in the rain anyway, at least a little bit! (My mom used to yell at me when I was growing up. I LOVED summer rain and thunderstorms and could often be found outside in the midst of it. She used to ask me "Don't you know its lightning and raining out there?". Of course I did! That was precisely the reason!!! )

Joy in all things to all of you.....

I'm alive!!!!

I had a glutening. Apparently, Trader Joe's puts CORNSTARCH in their sour cream, which is apparently CONTAMINATED.

So I had the world's worst headache for about a week and some itchiness. Oddly enough, I had ZERO stomach issues. That's what took me so long to figure out what happened (during which time I ate more sour cream, yay) but it's kinda nice I no longer have to carry a Port-a-Potty with me.

I worked yesterday in our soon-to-be garden. Thinking about going out to pick up some plants today. Too late in the season to start from seed, right?

Nik!!!! We need a cracked head wrist update!

Good news! :D

Tel update:

Still steadfastly refusing to go to the hosp <_< , but swelling has down a tad.

Maybe it has more to do with his arthritis ?? ...... he has had to come off all arthritis meds for a month as docs think it maybe is causing low platelets - GAAAWD - he can't even take ibuprofen for the sweeling (stomach ish-yooz  )

Anyhoo - I've given him a deadline of Monday

If he still can't use it by then I will kidnap him & take him to the hosp

Hope all me psillies are ok??

{{{hugs}}}} to all :)

We are off to a par-tay (I've had me dinner & NO I won't be drinking wine  )

Got me a phab new maxi dress ;) (hides them legs  )

Have a good Saturday!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D

Thanks fer the update, Nik--I'm glad I checked one more time before we went out :D

Have a good time at the par-tay....maxi dress sounds phab B) Very summer chic.

Hope Tel isn't too uncomfortable.

Bunnie--sorry bout the evil contaminated starch  Good news on the lack of GI symptoms, at least that's something! Hope you pheel better soon :)

Hi PeOter!! :D

flourgirl Apprentice

Hey!!! I came in from the rain...now showered and dry. Of course...now the sun is out...what a strange weather day this has been!

Bunbun....hope you have lots of phun with your garden. I'm not sure where you are...but....there are still plants available in the nurseries...just be carful that they look nice and green...not too leggy and not loaded wif bugs. You still have time to start some things from seed, just check the length of time required. Beans grow fast, onion, some squashes, carrots...lots to choose from. I just put in sweet potatoes (company didn't ship them until a few days ago  ). My tomato plants are already as tall as me!!!

I started a new strawberry bed this spring alongside a flower bed. The plants are really doing well, but some of them are in hiding. I used soil from my compost pile...and...well....we call them "volunteers". I have tons of winter squash (many tiny squashes already visible) and some mystery squashes, as well as sunflowers and something that looks like maybe a melon vine (?) :P . Sure makes the flower bed and strawberry patch look jungley. They are rapidly stretching out into the lawn...out of control  (I hear voices like the plant in the little house of horrors...."FEEEEEEED MEEEEEE!"

That's all that's happening in my world--what's going on with you all???

Why would you do that?????........We have a SUPERB psilly-related phlebotomist right here.......my DD......her site is on E. 56th Street B)

Thumb report---can nae see them due to the swinging of massive hammers busting out chunks of concrete, mobilized by massively muscled and tanned biceps ;)

Oooohhhh...........sounds like some big tools, there :P

OH Sills....... :( I am so behind.

just a quick poop-in to say hi-dee-ho, and to let you all know (which I'm sure you DO already know) that........I'm completely and totally devoid of silly. :(

I don't know where in hell it went but it's been gone a good part of June. and maybe the last part of May? BOLLOCKS!!!!!!!!!!

I don't see it returning any time soon, either. I think I"m involved in some sort of very dissatisfying and wretchedly unfulfilling........mid-life ennui crisis? dunno. But it is not fun.

Love you, my sills

will try and catch up later but.......in case I don't, can someone give me a summary report?

<lllleeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssarrrrrrrrgh!!!>

Me too.........havin a hard time findin me psilly.............and so far behind. My OB/GYN told me last year that in my current stage of life I may need some pharmaceutical assistance.........maybe I'll take her up on it......I dunno........a lot of other things affecting me moods.

Still got a few pages to go, but must go start dinner

Later, psillies

Hi Jmartes, It sure is difficult to get useful advice from medical providers. Almost 20 years  ago a Dr suggested that I might have Celiacs and I took a Celiac Panel blood test. No gluten challenge diet. On that test the tTG was in normal range but an alpha antibody was very high. I went online and read about celiac disease and saw how I could investigate this low tTG and still have celiac disease. Normal tTG can happen when a person had been reacting for many years. Another way is that the person has not been eating enough gluten to raise the antibody level. Another reason is that the tTG does not show up on a blood but may show up on a fecal test. Almost all Celiacs inherit at least one of the 2 main Celiac genes. I had genetic tests for the Celiac genes at Enterolab.com. I inherited one main Celiac gene from one parent and the report said that the DQ gene I inherited from my other parent, DQ6, could cause a person to have more problems or symptoms with that combination. One of my grandmother's had fairly typical symptoms of Celiacs but the other grandmother had severe food intolerances. I seem to show some problems inherited from both grandmothers. Human physiology is very complex and researchers are just beginning to understand how different body systems interact.  If you have taken an autosomal DNA test you can download your raw data file and upload it to Prometheuw.com for a small fee and search for Celiac Disease. If you don't find any Cekiac genes or information about Celiac disease  you may not have autoimmune gluten intolerance because more than 99% of Celiacs have one or both of these genes.  PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS IF YOU WANT TO KNOW EHAT i HAVE DONE TO HELP WITH SYMPTOMS.

I can't prove it, but I truly believe I have been glutened by airborne particles. I used to take care of shelter cats once per week at a pet store, and no matter how careful I was, I would get glutened each time even if I wore a mask and gloves and washed up well after I was done. I believe the problem was that because I'm short, I couldn't do the the tasks without getting my head and shoulders inside their cages, and so the particles from their food would be all over my hair and top of my shirt. Then I had to drive home, so even if I didn't get glutened right then, the particles would be in my car just waiting for me to get in the car so they could get blown into my face again. I gave up that volunteer gig and stopped getting glutened so often and at such regular intervals.

Hello, @MogwaiStripe, Vitamin D is turned into its activated forms by Thiamine.  Thiamine deficiency can affect Vitamin D activation. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/14913223/ Thiamine deficiency affects HLA genes.  HLA genes code for autoimmune diseases like Celiac, Thyroiditis, Diabetes, etc.  Thiamine deficiency inside a cell triggers a toggle switch on the gene which in turn activates autoimmune diseases carried on the gene.  The reference to the study is in my blog somewhere.  Click on my name to go to my page, scroll down to the drop down menu "Activities" and click on blogs.

Hello, @annamarie6655, Yes, there's many of us who react to airborne gluten!   Yes, animal feed, whether for chickens or cats or dogs, can release airborne gluten.  I can get glutened from the bakery section at the grocery store.   The nose and mouth drain into the digestive system and can trigger systemic reactions.   I find the histamine release in response to airborne gluten will stuff up my sinuses and bother my eyes.  High histamine levels do cause anxiety and migraines.  The muscle spasms can be caused by high histamine, too.  The digestive system may not manifest symptoms without a higher level of gluten exposure.   Our bodies make an enzyme, DAO (diamine oxidase), to break down histamine.   Pyridoxine B 6, Cobalamine B12, Vitamin C, copper, zinc, and iron are needed to make DAO.  DAO supplements are available over the counter.  Taking a B Complex supplement and additional Thiamine in the form Benfotiamine or TTFD (tetrahydrofurfuryl disulfide) helps reduce the amount of histamine being released.  Mast cells without sufficient Thiamine have an itchy trigger finger and release histamine at the slightest provocation.  Thiamine helps mast cells refrain from releasing their histamine.    I find taking additional TTFD thiamine helps immensely with neurological symptoms as TTFD can easily cross the blood brain barrier without a carrier.  High histamine in the brain can cause the muscle spasms, anxiety and migraines.  Vitamin C really helps with clearing histamine, too.   The Digiorno pizza mystery reaction could have been caused by a reaction to the cheese.  Some people develop lactose intolerance.  Others react to Casein, the protein in dairy, the same as if to gluten because Casein resembles the molecular structure of gluten.  An enzyme used in some dairy products, microbial transglutaminase, causes a gluten reaction because it is the same as the tissue transglutaminase our bodies make except microbes make it.  Those tTg IgA blood tests to diagnose celiac disease measure tissue transglutaminase our bodies release as part of the autoimmune response to gluten.   You're doing great!  A Sherlock Holmes award to you for figuring out the connection between airborne gluten and animal feed!!!
