Why do my pics keep disappearing?????

Do you guys see it?.......or is it only invisible on this school computer?

I copied it from Facebook. I wanted to show the pic to a co-worker....can't access Facebook here, so thought I'd just show this one. rats!

I suspect that the school has blocked access to Facebook on their network, and that would include linked pix. Check back in a few and I'll have it here for you.

HI all

thanks Theresa

it's 2:01 and still no news.

anyone know the rules of FHA mortgages and if no one does anything on the last day of the contract......does it just get voided?

I know, I've asked my realtor and tells me to just 'relax'

now news is good news.

love coming to read about your lives

back to cleaning for the home appraisal who arrives at 9:00 tomorrow am

It will be specified in your contract. It can't just be voided since there's earnest money involved and before that can be returned, it has to be signed off on by all parties.

I'm livid that your agent won't take the time to go over it all with you and explain it. She should have done that at the time she presented the contract to you.

Sometimes, when yer silly gets lost, it stays lost for a long time :( And the sillier everyone else gets the more yer psilly hides from you; or perhaps it's not really lost per se--it's just that everyone else has found *your* psilly and is using it all up so there's nought left for you.

And then when peeps start getting all clever and posting pictures of their pheats and doing little green puke-face men and other smarty things, yer gets all kinda depressed and climbs further into de non-psilly hole...

But I have been keeping up with all your pheats and feets and short fifth digits and whatnot.

So all you peeps, stop stealing my psilly and give it back to me. I WANT IT BACK!!!

Shroomie :( can toooooooooootally relate to this, I think my silly's been gone since June.

and where are ya, BTW? still stateside? Back in NZ? where? So exotic, Shroom's life

When your psilly is tired, I shall carry it!

My first big papers were handed in today so I'm correcting......send out the dingoes if I disappear. Heck- send out the dingoes anyway- they're so darn cute!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Suz :D ......Now I eat me burgers plain since I'm off grains, but I used to use toasted Gluten Free Pantry French bread--very yummy, but not soft and roll-like.

The absolute best gluten-free burger rolls I've ever had were from Grandma Ferndons. Two problems......the shipping was almost $20 and now they only ship to certain cities. I only mention them in case you run into 'em at a health phood store er sumphin. If you ever do, get 'em--they're soft and squishy and really good. (no bean flour, either ;) )

Yep  . . . they still try and make a hoarse coughing sound. People down the street did it to their sheltie. If you don't want a dog that's going to bark don't get a sheltie . . . doesn't everyone know that?? . . . actually, if you don't want a dog that barks, only get dogs that are stuffed animals!!! . . . OK, I'm done.

Or how about this: TRAIN your dog not to bark obsessively.

:angry: Yes, it's quite awful. Many vets will not do the procedure, as it is taking away a dog's means of communication - -they cannot even whine. :( Essentially, their larynyx is severed.

Poor thing. Elsie will have to step in as an interpreter..... . .

My gosh.....how awful :(

Y'know, our neighbor has a dog they say is deaf and that it howls when it's alone, and that's why we hear it howling all the time. Well, maybe you SHOULDN'T LEAVE YOUR DOG ALONE!!!! Pretty much any dog can be trained out of unecessary barking. If you can't take care of a dog, don't get it!!!

Hey Lisa!!! Can you teach Elsie some sign language??? Just some basic phrases . . . "I need to go poo", "Is that a squirrel?", "What is this cr@p that you're trying to pass off as dog food?"

HEY! Well, let's see... .. I still remember how Leeeesargh instructed us to say "penis".. . . .. . ....I could show this to the new dog. Hmm. . ...dunno how useful it would be. He is neutered, so there isn't much to be mentioning down there anymore... . . ..

Thanx, Oracle PeOter! :D

.....and did y'all know that if you copied someone's av onto yer post, it changes every time they change their av? :P

.....quite confusing for newbies reading back in the archives. Patti copied my av of hubby and me, commenting on the 'cute couple'....now it's Zeus........maybe I should change me av to a pic of me chest

Maybe I should send Zeus over.....

.....wait........the only signs he knows are 'sit' and 'stay'......but easily done without opposable thumbs ;):P

We once had a sheltie named Beauregard Le Chien.......Beau for short. We only had barking issues when the neighbor kids set off fireworks

I do remember seeing a sheltie that was de-barked, once.....sad. :( Still barked like crazy.......just quieter.

I wondered why I logged on and the blue google smurfs said stop excessive barking

:(

It is an evil and heinous thing, this surgery. :( My "Perfect Neighbor" had her dog de-barked (that silly Westie I babysit - dumbest dog ever  ) and..........it did not REMOTELY work. He has just as shrill and loud a bark as before. (I didn't hear about it until after it happened, 2 or 3 years ago....the only change was that immediately after she did it, he had a raspy bark....for a short while. She actually SCOLDS him when he chases lizards, etc. in the back yard and barks at them........and I want to scream, MY GAWD, he's a DOG, he's a TERRIER, THIS IS WHAT HE"S SUPPOSED TO DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! makes me insane)

we really are

We're so excited about this news, Emmel!!

What wuunderphul news Em! 'Twill be a lucky dog fer sher! I didn't know you could de-bark a dog  I've know a good many dog-owners that needed de-barking. Why is it that so many people who should not be pet-care-takers go out to get pets that they do not train, care for and otherwise abuse and neglect. I'll never get it. Seen waaaay too many of them! :(

Jgeoss.....was Sunrise, Sunset a song in fiddler on the rrrroooff?? My psilly brain says so.....I love that song. So many good life-story-songs.

Not much more to add.....ready to pass out for the night.....if only I'd stay out all night. Sleep well everyone......it's what Dr. Ted is ordering for all of you. Stay shiny inside.....T

Dude, worked breakfast yesterday from 5:30 to 9:30, came back and worked nighttime for my coworker from 4:30 to 10:30, and now I'm back this morning. I feel like I'm in the twilight zone. And my tummy's too angry at me for me to have coffee.

I know. :(:( Since our foray into the world of animal rescue organizations, I have seen so much sad evidence of this around me. And the puppy mills! They are quietly everywhere, making a profit pumping out sad, sick little animals.. . . .....makes me crazy.

I'm a little confused. In your second post you said, "but these symptoms have been ongoing for a long time before the pregnancy" while in your most recent post you say, "I was doing a lot better on the AIP diet. However, I was unable to do the full reintroduction process because I went off the AIP diet when I got pregnant and was experiences chronic nausea." CBC = Complete Blood Count. This is the typical bloodwork most people would have done routinely with an annual wellness checkup. I would include things like iron levels, various blood cell counts including reds and whites and other infection fighters. CMP = Complete Metabolic Panel. This would measure things like blood sugar, kidney and liver function, plasma proteins and various enzymes. Non cellular things that the body produces. Also typical of an annual wellness check. Have you tried cutting out dairy and oats? These two are the most common cross reactors in the celiac community. I know it must be tough trying to get adequate calories and nutrition when you are pregnant while at the same time eliminating foods that are good sources of those things.
    • Maura Gissen
They did. I was doing a lot better on the AIP diet. However, I was unable to do the full reintroduction process because I went off the AIP diet when I got pregnant and was experiences chronic nausea. This is what makes me believe it's food related.  I do check all of my food products and supplements and I am very careful about them being gluten free and trying to stay away from corn starch etc. However, I am eating gluten free breads that sometimes have rice flour, yeast, etc. - I seem to do fine with these breads/bread products some days, but then am sick other days.  I have never really had any GI symptoms outside of bloating. My symptoms are dizziness, brain fog, and a general feeling of unwellness or malaise, sort of like when you're going to get the flu.  I have had a lot of bloodwork done over the last three years, but I don't recall doing the CBC, CMP, or a celiac-specific test recently. That's helpful so that could at least provide some insight to see if I'm still being exposed.  Do you see most individual with celiacs having to take a period of time away from even gluten free breads and other cross-reactive foods to let their guts heal? I'm not sure how restrictive to get with my diet again since it's so challenging.
    • trents
Did the symptoms commence after you discontinued the AIP diet? Have you checked all nutritional supplements and oral hygiene products for possible gluten content? Have you recently checked all the labels of purchased processed foods in your pantry to check for formulation changes that might have introduced gluten? Historically, when "glutened" did you have GI symptoms or were you a "silent" celiac whose symptoms were non GI. Is what you are experiencing now like what you were experiencing at the time of diagnosis? Have you had recent blood work done (CBC and CMP) and if so, were there any parameters out of norm? I know you have Hashimoto's but you say that is well controlled now? It certainly wouldn't hurt to get celiac antibodies rechecked. Because you are essentially gluten free I would not expect to see any big departures from normal levels but if there are even weak positives it could indicate you are getting glutened from some unexpected source.
    • Maura Gissen
Hi Trent! Thanks so much for your warm welcome and questions! They do, but these symptoms have been ongoing for a long time before the pregnancy. However, it's hard for me to know what's a celiac response vs. a Hashimotos one. I haven't, maybe it's worth getting those checked again?
    • trents
Welcome to the forum, @Maura Gissen! Don't those same symptoms often come along with the territory when pregnant? And then throw in Hashimoto's.  Have you had your celiac antibody levels checked recently?
