I found our Mystery man- Gilles Marini.....he was samantha's neighbor in the Sex and the City movie :D

have you seen this movie? Especially the shower scene at the end....words cannot describe how large his-um-'thumbs' are. That sucker is HUGE!! Screw the baby's arm image-it's at least a toddler!!!

Speaking of sucker.......

They report that female short-nosed fruit bats (Cynopterus sphinx) licked their mate's penis during 14 of 20 observed copulations. Matings that involved licking lasted significantly longer than those that did not.

Possible functions for this behaviour include stimulation to prolong copulation and assist fertilization; mate guarding; antibacterial effects; and the detection of chemicals assisting in mate choice.

The authors say their observations could suggest a possible adaptive benefit for the activity in this species.

We frequent the zoo and my son loves the bat house (I find it foul and vomitous in it's odor). Anyway, I've never seen one bat licking another, but I frequently see a male bat licking himself-WTF does that mean? Is he prepping himself to last longer no matter what the female wants? That just seems sneaky!

Sills, we are babysitting that evil Spike from next door.....I think he just barfed a little on the carpet behind me. And, Spike is throwing off a VERY HIGH STINK, gawd knows what, very feral-smelling and musty and muddy-ish. Maybe even POOP-ish. :gag:

I have very bad posture lately.

My flat-iron died, Kit knocked it on the floor and it broke, I happened to mention this to a friend two days ago, and said friend gave me her almost brand-new Sharper Image straightener today. :) Blessings.

My house is a mess. I need ALL sills to report for duty for a cleaning party. :unsure: Oh, we're also going to rip up the carpets and install new floors.

Carpet shamPOO is next week, I'm perty sure. <_<

I rescued a TINY wicked terrier dog named Fifi on my street today, running all the way down the OTHER end of the street. She lives almost exactly ACROSS the street from me, yet in five years, I've never seen her, to my recall. :blink: The re-unitement with owner was fab. :) And quite necessary, as Fifi was terrorizing the CRAP outta Weezee.

I have the cabin reserved this weekend, and am not going. :blink:

I'm able to keep up . . . just not posting much . . . gawd-awful busy here. Hubby is working outrageous hours, I've been subbing a lot at the preschool, having some isshoes with some kitchen work I had done, meetings at the school about Smackl's work (smart kid - I've had the testing done to prove it - writes way below his grade level), Skeeter has twenty bazillion homework projects assigned, Smackl is in a Tae Kwon Do demonstration-so extra practices . . . you know, just little stuff like that . . . house has taken a major hit on cleanliness . . . dog-hair tumbleweeds are blowing through.

. . . and Lisa, forgot to say . . . . YAY for Nathan!!!

On November 5, 1605, Guy Fawkes was apprehended while preparing to blow up the parliament buildings whilst the King and all the members of parliament were present.

We don't do anything around here. I see it as a British thing.

I was working outside on taming wild vegetation, but freezing rain caused me to come inside for the moment.

It's a company that is a supplier to the automotive industry. They're crazy busy, so .....lots of overtime! I think about a half hour drive from here. It'll be 2nd shift, but he'll be working days til he's trained. Pay is somewhat less than he was getting, but definitely doable. And highest pay attainable in the future looks extremely good! :D

It's time to PARTY!!!!

      The form of the magnesium is important. Go for one that has high absorbability. Most of us opt for magnesium glycinate. Mag citrate is also good. Don't settle for the oxide forms. They aren't absorbed well and tend to have a laxative effect 'cause they just draw water into the colon a' la Milk of Magnesia. Costco is a good place to shop for things like that. Also, good bone and dental health involves vitamin D. Are you taking a dedicated D3 supplement? Have you had your D levels checked? In many ways, vitamin D is turning out to be a master vitamin of human metabolism and celiacs are often low on this one. What was the numerical score on your IGA along with the reference range? I can probably tell you whether it was TTG-IGA by the magnitude of the score. The only other likely option besides TTG-IGA would be Total IGA which usually has scores that range in the hundreds.  I do think it important for you to get a follow-up endoscopy/biopsy to check for healing of the villi. If that isn't happening like it should, you still are not absorbing nutrients well and that could easily explain your dental issues.

      It doesn’t specify if it’s TTG I’m not sure how to tell for that. That would be so sad. We never eat out I try to be so strict. Yes many dental products have gluten! I only use ones that don’t on myself.    No follow up procedure has been done for healing. That is something I will ask about. Thank you for the suggestion.    I don’t take any Magnesium. What would be a good supplement?

      Is that TTG-IGA that is slightly elevated? That could indicate you are still getting some gluten in your diet. That should be within normal range I would think if you were truly gluten free. As a dental professional have you looked into the issue of gluten in the products they use in your profession? There are threads on this forum and also articles I think dealing with that issue. Have you had a follow-up endoscopy to check for healing of the small bowel villi? Also, are you taking any magnesium supplements for bone and dental health? Very important. It works together with calcium.

      I’ve had GI issues since I was a baby! They never did any testing and always said diet issues and constipation. Things got a lot worse when I hit 25, eventually got a diagnosis and I am currently 29. Yes, just recently saw my GI doctor in January and things looked pretty good. Very slightly elevated IgA but IgG was good. My ionized calcium is elevated too. I also have hashimotos but my TSH was good.

      Do you have any sense of how long before your diagnosis the onset of your celiac disease may have been? For most of us, there are years that pass between the onset and finally getting a diagnosis and by that time damage has already been done to body systems. May we ask your age? Also, have you had any follow-up testing since diagnosis to check for celiac antibody levels or healing of the villi?
