You know when you burn the roof of your mouth badly and the skin starts to peel away, I did that with my coffee this morning, BUT it hit the back of my throat first, so now I'm choking on skin..... :ph34r::lol: :lol:

Ouch!.....sounds like something I have donewould do. I don't like to wait for things to cool down.....and the purpose of coffee is to warm up me insides, so it must be HOT!

Jyaghnutt!!!.....try a chiropractor or massage therapist. Always works for me :)

Monday is a day off, hubby will be at work, and I have a little cash to spend .....YAY!!!! :D

Yep, told her to be here @ 6:45, as everyone else was arriving @ 6:30 and would be securely ensconced. She showed up at five to six.

I hope everyone is well, just busy. January for me is often the busiest month of the year, it would seem - - even busier than Christmastime. I do so hope that it is the same with everyone, and Psillyville gets full of raucous voices and laughter from everywhere once again. . . ....!

All I have to say to get youse guys back here is:

Well.......Once more, I have been dealing with hospitals. My brother very quickly came down with a serious case of the flu and pneumonia. I didn't know he was sick til he called from the hospital Critical Care on Thursday......was so bad he called for an ambulance. Turns out, he was also very close to going into a diabetic coma. He didn't know he was diabetic. Blood sugar was 485. He has been diagnosed as type 1.

He's doing much better, now, and it looks like we will be able to take him home tomorrow.He's thinking about asking his diabetes counselor out on a date :lol:

I am suddenly reminded of a drole li'l joke my dad used to tell:

This fellow had been suffering from excruciating headaches for some time, and finally went to a doctor. After a thorough exam, the physician called the man into his office and said, "Well, I'm not exactly sure what is causing your headaches, but we've found a cure for them: you'll have to be castrated." The man, needless to say, was taken aback, and told his doctor that he would try to bear the pain. But as time went on, the headaches only got worse. :o Lisa, and Jiangnut, so sorry I hollered at yous. :huh: I didn't mean it :) . Your poor brother, Lisa; must wonder what on earth has hit him. And your sinuses, Jiangnut, t'is haynus the problems they create. Would ban 'em if I could. I had one (sinus infection) that lasted for several months thru innumerable antibiotics; t'was Augmentin that finally killed it (and me--c. Diff and candida after that lot!). Maybe even gluten intolerance :rolleyes: So they did this scan and said I had an abnormality and they wanted to do surgery, but I found out that is awful, and I said no thanks. They haven't really bothered me since. :blink: I dare them :ph34r:

You guys must be warming up because the chill has moved to this hemisphere, high of 50 degrees yesterday in the height of the summer holidays. Lots of campers are heading home. Rain, rain, everywhere. Floods...well, it's just not summer. I guess we had summer the first week in Jan. :( I did enjoy it :blink: Looking forward to my real summer in June.

Spending the day putting together my new "new" recipe book, the one without potato starch and nightshades. Tired of all sheets of paper, bookmarks, gf1 and gf2 document files, scraps from the newspaper, notes in notebooks, never know where to find anythink. :P

      Hi everyone I'm James, I hope you are all feeling well??. Accidentally had gluten at weekend and I've had severe diarrhea since sat night. My question is ,the longer someone like myself has been following a strict gluten-free diet will the exposure to gluten be lot more extreme as body now has been free of it well over a year ? Any information be much appreciated and any tips on how to stop the constant diarrhoea I have currently also be appreciated guys x

      I use Listerine.  Rinse first to soften the tarter, then brush with Oral B electric toothbrush super sonic.  The $15 ones at the supermarket.  At 73 I still have all my teeth.  While a blood test can measure iodine levels, it's not the most accurate method for assessing iodine status, and urinary iodine excretion is considered a better indicator.  Have any of your dermatologists ever done a biopsy for dermatitis herpetiformis?  I may have missed it.  Note the similarity of Casal's necklace to one of your symptoms. Pellagra rash is a characteristic skin manifestation of niacin (vitamin B3) deficiency. It typically presents as:  Erythema: Red, sunburned-like areas of skin, often on the face, neck, arms, and legs.  Scaliness: Dry, flaky skin that may become thickened and crusty.  Hyperpigmentation: Darkened patches of skin, particularly in sun-exposed areas.  Casal's necklace: A dark, pigmented band around the neck.  I am currently taking these} Vitamin D 10,000 IU (250 mcg) DHEA 100 mg 500 mcg Iodine  10 drops of Liquid Iodine B1 Thiamin 250 mg  B2 Riboflavin 100 mg B3 Nicotinic Acid 500 mg 4 times a day for hyperlipidemia. B5 Pantothenice Acid 500 mg Vitamin C 500 mg     Selenium 200 mcg  Several times a week

      I will. Thanks. I did just have mg B12 drawn. I should also state that I am already taking a Vit D supplement, as I live in the US in New England sand just about everyone who lives here is deficient, esp during our winters with less exposure to natural sunlight. I was also taking a chewable bariatric vitamin as well because of my food issues related to my cancer treatment (which was many years ago, but there are long term effects.) I just stopped it because I was unable to get any gluten information about it. And it did contain iodine. Is there even a vitamin that doesn’t? I don’t know, but I will check. I also take Calcium and Magnesium in the form of “Rolaids” for leg cramps/spasms, with good effects. Thanks.
