Ohhhh! I always thought that meant something else. Why are people so concerned with getting cumined and cinnamoned?

My DD has done it again. She's cunning that one. Her birthday is on Saturday and I asked her what she wanted. She said there were only 2 things that she really, really wanted: a puppy and her ears pierced. That's all she wanted... We had told her before that no dog until she's at least 10 and no ear piercing until she's 12....

She's getting her ears pierced Saturday morning

Probably into the abyss of 'no one read' so buried in the depths of hell...........excuse me...........depths of the c.c storage vaultlaugh.gif

But hey, could use some help here buddies.

This c-diff is gone get me in the end...........so to speak.............ph34r.gif

Joooodie! I'm so sorry to hear that you still have this awful thing hanging around - - C. diff is a horrible infection. Now, I could leap over to your dedicated thread and be the first to reply, but I'm too lazy and tired -- heading for bed.. . .... . so I'll mention this here in Psillyville: I did reams of research a couple of years ago on the treatment of C. Diffficile, as my brother-in-law came close to dying from it. After all my on-line, peer-reviewed digging, I discovered that the probiotic Saccharomyces Boulardi is, by far, the most effective "good" bacterium to fight this. It really helped my BIL. It is pricey, but worth it! :)

Hi Joodee (in Temecula :) - hope you're not hiding from anyone :P )

Just lost a post to you to a temperamental mouse (rose right up and bit me :o )

I had a C-diff infection, diagnosed by Great Smokies (now Genova) back in the 90's by stool sample. It came back as being treatable by a forgotten antibiotic, or by Gentian formula. I chose the Gentian formula since it was antibiotics what got me there in the first place. I was treated by an alternative MD in Marin County. I also had candida overgrowth and he prescribed lots of supplements including deglycirrnizated (sp?) licorice, evening primrose oil, and lots of stuff I don't remember. How were you diagnosed?

Also, perhaps of interest, I have just been prescribed a really strong probiotic by Krispin Sullivan (The Krispin Report - on lectins) to heal my leaky gut which is letting the lectins through. It is called VSL#3 and contains 254 billion organisms of seven different strains to be sprinkled on yogurt, ice cream or mixed with water if you MUST  ) and is not digested until it reaches where it needs to be. It is pricey, but could be worth it if it works. She swears by it - she is a CN. Whatever you take, hope it works.

Rachelle..........thanks so much. That's just what I figured happened. Most of mine do end up there.

No one sees them and never seem to get much help with what ails me I'm the weirdo I guess.

Know the MOD's don't allow a 'bounce' so will just count on my sillies again as usual

Thanks shroomy..........

I got this from a abx to get rid of the H-pylori bacteria causing the stomach ulcers that were causing the blockage and not allowing the stomach to empty. Then scare tissue built up and have to keep going for endoscopy to stretch the what ever........cool.gif to allow all to flow. Both GI and ID specialist said the drug caused the c-diff. I never usually take abx and go more holistic routes whenever I can. I this case, had to take the drug..........no choice in the matter.

Was dx'd with 3 stool samples -3 different day........both times and we positive for both A and B stains.

I have some evening primrose capsules here maybe i should just take some. Was on PB8 acidophilus for years and while on vanco, took 3 with each meal.

I've heard of the VSL#3 Alot of the people on LOD diet take that one.

Thanks for the advice kido

Can't tell you how much I appreciate you all helping me out here

don't know if i can't put a link on here to a video but will try.......not promoting the probotic.......it was from a news program..........will give it a go

If it's not allowed.............I'm sure a MOD will catch it laugh.gif

will post this first to be sure I don't lose this one.

Hi Patti when you get onwink.gif

Hi Judith :D

I did not sleep in me own bed last night but said bed and the rest of me stuph was delivered yesterday and will be slept in tonight fer sure :)

I like this guest house we're staying in--last night, Mark and I got in late from unpacking at the apartment and went down to the kitchen to have sumphin to eat. We got talking to a delightphul gentleman from Kenya who is wrapping up teaching here and is planning on returning home soon.

Come to find out, he attended Syracuse University in the early 70's--Mark and I both grew up within a couple miles of the campus and lived there at that time. We reminised about the area, and we learned a lot about how his life in Kenya compares wif life here. Very interesting and facinating!

Staying here is like staying at yer grandma's house if she took in cool boarders.

Judyin Philly Enthusiast

what a fun place Patti, for Mark to have hung his hat while being away from you

Glad you had a day to kinda recoop from the coughing and sore throat. Hope your feeling better and don't over do tonight. Wish i could have some of your Mac and Cheese..........sure sounds good.

Enjoy your old bed tonighwink.gif oh, and be sure to get some sleep too laugh.gif

Ok my silly dr team.

Had to see a new Internist......fired the last one. Wanted a woman and got a pill pusher instead. Jim said 4 drug reps came to see her while he was waiting for me.

Another grand slam Dr. I'm on a roll and not complaining. Had to go as the lymph leg was swelling like a tree stump. He was great and he joked........always like that.........when i told him who my GI and LD were. He's my GI's Dr but my GI never goes to dr's unless for blood work.........laugh.gif He said he sees them everyday in the hospital. He said......... " Well with all you have going on you have a great team here."

Won't bore you with details but he wished i'd come in as a new patient so he could give me 1/2 in stead of the alloted.ph34r.gif 15 min. Next time said book a new patient and I'll give you and your husband 45 min. I really want to look over your comprehensive reports from PA Dr.

Got my flu shot............was i crazyblink.gif Don't want to get sick like Patti and she says she just had a cold.......... so flu cold what ever I want it to go away...........Just like EARL

Anyone heard from Lisa B?

Hope all on the coast are ok.

Thanks for caring you all

Hooray, stuph is delivered - you is moved in.

I know what you mean about guest houses. I stayed in one when I first got to London, and the peeps there were fascinating. Clay's uncle, until he moved to the U.S. at 60, spent most of his life living in boarding houses :o - a bachelor and I guess he liked the company. There was a certain gentleman of a certain age staying at the boarding house where I was, an Aussie no less, who claimed he owned an island off the coast of Oz and tried to sweep me off my feet and carry me back there

I said no, he would just have to settle for a dinner date or two cos I only just got to London and weren't leaving

Ways to decorate your va-jay-jay!!!!!!

Besides the usual trimming

...there is, of course, the Brazilian

....which has led to interesting ways to decorate your bare hoo-ha

......like bedazzling.....little adhesive rhinestones (Jennifer Love Hewitt says it's like a "little disco ball down there")

....or temporary vag tattoos

.....and soon to come.........glow-in-the-dark temporary tats

There's also a temporary dye to restore the 'pink' to your cooch (their word, not mine) ;)

Then there's panties with an extension attached to them which you insert into your vagina so you can practice your kegels

.....or how about the pantiliners in hot pink leopard print? :P

.....or the pad for your undies that prevent camel toe :o

I can't believe they didn't mention glitter! B)

I'm not going anywhere near that last post.

We did the second interviews yesterday taking Karen's hub's input to heart. We looked for which of the two would fit better in terms of personality, and agreed on one of them. Today, we made an offer and it was accepted. She starts tomorrow. :)

Oh, and I am definitely feeling old.

We have had many employees who are young enough that we could be their parents, and customers sometimes ask, "Is that your daughter?" But this time around it is a larger difference. With forty years between us, I am old enough to be her grandfather. :o

Okay, how about this one (for the non-ladies) :P . US Open Tennis, Djokovich just defeated Petschner (both spellings questionable). Post-match interivew with Djovkovich:

Interviewer: The fans kept saying, Ivan, hit the between the legs shot!!!. Do you have that shot, Ivan?

Djokovich: No, I've got something else between my legs!!  No language problem there!

Welcome to the forum, @JenFur! You must be relatively new to the celiac journey. I wish it were as simple as just having to cut out gluten and all our gut issues magically disappear. It is very common for those with celiac disease to develop intolerance/sensitivity to other foods. Often it is because the protein structure of some other foods resembles that of gluten. Sometimes it is because damage the damage done to the gut lining by celiac disease wipes out cells that produce enzymes needed to break down those foods. Sometimes it is because the "leaky gut syndrome" associated with celiac disease causes the immune system to incorrectly identify other food proteins as threats or invaders. The two most common non-gluten foods that cause trouble for a lot of celiacs are dairy and oats. But soy, eggs and corn are also on that list. Sometimes these non-gluten food intolerances disappear with time and the healing of the villous lining of the small bowel.

I love popcorn but it doesn't love me.  Right now my gut hurts and I am bloated and passing gas.  Am I just super sensitive. I thought popcorn was gluten free 🤔

Welcome to the forum, @marinke! "Type 1a diabetes (DM1) is associated with an increased risk of celiac disease (celiac disease) (1)." from: https://diabetesjournals.org/care/article/35/10/2083/38503/IgA-Anti-transglutaminase-Autoantibodies-at-Type-1 "The prevalence of celiac disease (celiac disease) in children with type 1 diabetes (T1D) is 5.1%, and it is often asymptomatic (1)." from: https://diabetesjournals.org/care/article/48/2/e13/157637/Diagnostic-Outcomes-of-Elevated-Transglutaminase So, this is 5x the rate found in the general population.

Hi James47, You are less than 2 years into your recovery from Celiacs.  Tell us more about the problems you are having. Do you just want to get rid of belly fat or are you still having symptoms like gas and bloating.    For symptoms you may need to change your diet and take various supplements that you cannot adsorb from the foods you eat because of the damage caused by the autoimmune reaction in your small intestine.

My daughter (4 years old) has type 1 diabetes since she was 1. Therefore, every year a screening is done. We live in the Netherlands. Every year the screening was fine. This year here ttg is positive, 14, >7 is positive. IGA was in range. Could the diabetes cause this positive result? Or the fact that she was sick the weeks before the brood test?
