Test sucked.:( I'm trying to convince BE to console me.

So sorry. They'll be other tests and I know you'll do well. One test at a time. Any chance it was curved?

Sending positive energy,

Loey

P.S. hope BE will console you- you deserve it!!!

Loey Rising Star

He apparently wasn't too hard to convince. I'm thinking 'console' requires a lot more energy than 'rectify'. I got a lotta tension to work out.

We only got half the test initially, and then the rest, and somehow I missed an entire page.  And it was the part on conditional probabilities, which, of course, is my best topic.:ph34r::blink::lol:

I'm following that race. :P

Maybe prof will let you take the rest? Worth asking him!

Didn't we decide it was riding the broomstick? Enjoy whatever it is!!! rolleyes.gifrolleyes.gif

BTW, Fell again last night. Partially due to slippery floor but I'm also thinking it's the med that the GI gave me for the cramping (the last three falls were all since I was on it). Superman told me he said that after the first fall. I always take a while to listen. Lois Lane has a mind of her own. Going to stop taking it. Got a referral for a GP and a Neurologist.

Loey

P.S. getting ready to go to the train station. Also loved the first painting class. I was drawing on my canvas. Will start painting it next week. Will talk to you all again either Saturday before we see our son (YAY) or Monday. Gonna miss all my psillies!!!!

yah, stop taking that stuff. Painting class sounds great.

Prof gave me 15 minutes to do the page I missed. Not sure I got any more points (how the $%*&$ do you integrate y(e^(-lambdax-lambda(y/x)))/x ????) but at least I tried.

Not pain meds per say but Donnatal (which I think is pheno-barbital). He originally gave me something that gave me the big D. Wasn't taking it often but now that I think about it it coincided with the falls (and during the day made me nap).

Hope you did better on the test than you think.

Hugs to you all,

Was it Levsin? My doc gave me that early on--made me dopey and didn't do a thing for my cramping. Have you tried laying down wif a heating pad?

psawyer Proficient

Donnatal is a combination of active ingredients. I was on it for a while for my "irritable bowel" in my early twenties. It has atropine (belladonna), phenobarbital and other ingredients. Like Immodium, it may help ease the symptoms of celiac disease, but does nothing to address the underlying problem.

You'ld be the only one. :P. Love how people only read the first 1 or 2 sentences of a post and respond.

( this is short so everyone will read the whole thing) :P

  'tis true. No point in actually finding out what's going on before you provide your opinion. :P

Gads I am starving today. And I messed up my experiment yesterday so I don't have to finish it today. Maybe I'll wander down to the store and find myself a treat.

I've never tried those, how are they?

Not that anyone asked me  but they're really good. The chocolate ones are too good--can't keep 'em in the house cause I can't stay away from them. The strawberry, in my opinion, is way too sweet.

Also ask for a test of vitamin D levels. I agree with knitty kitty that cyclical Thiamine deficiency may be the cause of your cycle.  Celiac Disease causes multiple vitamin and mineral deficiencies.   Itchy palms can be a symptom of iodine deficiency.  Low iodine levels can lead to dry, flaky skin on the hands and  body due to the disruption of normal skin cell regeneration caused by a lack of thyroid hormone production, which relies on iodine. Other symptoms are   fatigue, weight gain, sensitivity to cold. I take between 600 and 1200 mcg a day Liquid Iodine. It has improved my healing.  Strong Iodine and Lugols Solution are other options.  Start low and build up over time. Between 1970 and 1988 the dietary intake of Americans dropped by 50%. Perhaps this is why some can tolerate the bread in Europe?

Be cautious with vitamin D if you are female and post-menopausal.  I had to decrease my D dosage from 4000 IU/day to 2000 IU because of hormonal acne and unwanted facial hair - likely from an increased testosterone level from the D.  Finally relief!  I hope to keep my D level below 50 nm/l now.

Do you eat processed gluten free foods?

You may want to wear an N-95 mask to filter out any possible gluten, at least when you handle the flour.

It sounds like you've been on quite the journey trying to understand your symptoms and diagnosis. It’s great that you’re planning to consult a doctor for allergy testing, as distinguishing between a wheat allergy, celiac disease, or another gluten-related condition is crucial for moving forward. The fact that you’ve tolerated barley and wheat products without recent symptoms might suggest something other than celiac disease, but as you noted, the absence of immediate symptoms doesn’t necessarily rule out potential underlying damage, especially if celiac disease is still a possibility. It’s worth discussing whether you should undergo updated testing, such as genetic testing for celiac markers (HLA-DQ2/DQ8), or even revisiting an endoscopy if appropriate. In the meantime, keep documenting your experiences with food and symptoms—it could provide valuable insights for your healthcare provider. It’s also important to test for other possible causes of your original symptoms, like IBS, food intolerances, or even other autoimmune conditions, to ensure nothing is overlooked.
