LOL...second one!

.. . .. . My son immediately turned and speedwalked home, no looking back. Our old neighboUr stopped and stared at Will, obviously speechless.

My DH (undiagnosed celiac, for sure) has more disgusting flatulence than anyone I've ever known. So, we challenged him to keep track for one whole day. Well, yesterday morning he was at 20 before he made it to the breakfast table. He was sending me emails from his office...11:45--38. 1:30--51. 3:30--79. As we sat down to dinner he figured he was right at 100. Then, after supper all hell broke loose, and he lost count at around 150. It's an interesting family activity...

  ------ > etc.

(taht is my new symbol for 25 LOL emoticons and by that I DO mean cackling smiley faces and NOT Lady of Leeeeeeeeeezure suits)

mygawd......forgot to tell you yesterday how outrageously funny that is. Um......this......exorbitant level of fartage......affect the marriage much?

No name for the Fresno one?

I guess the "TWO" means you don't count San Fernando Valley ones anymore?

Have you forgotten how boooo00000oooooring it was???

 San Fernando Valley? Dude, I am in San Joaquin Valley....much more mundane. That other movie was called Puppetmasters w/ Donald Sutherland......it was SOOOOOOOOOO much fun. Alas, cutting room floor also.

BORING????????????????? STanding around on a set all day, causing trouble, talkign w/ EVERYONE, watching scenes as they are crafted and filmed, watching Ron Howard scroll through the dailies (I stood right next to him), eating endless food from Kraft services table - - mygawd.......quite the life.........

I can't believe I am surrounded by all of this . . . stardom? Movie Stars and Celiac Celebrity SpokesModels!!! What have I got to compare?? A couple of interviews on the news? They were both speaking parts . . . does that count?

oh yes, we are FAMOUS. B) But we'll still talk to you, in between fending off the paparazzi and going to Starbucks without out panties on.

The minute he said this, DH let out what was apparently the loudest, longest, bubbling fart to date. My son immediately turned and speedwalked home, no looking back. Our old neighboUr stopped and stared at Will, obviously speechless. How to take this? As a hint, like, "No thanks! Sure don't need any of those!" or as a snide slough-off, like "Well, did you hear that? What do you think?"

"loudest, longest, bubbling fart to date........."

*snoooooort*

Emily - um, you mean he ACTUALLY has no power in his sphincter to control these emissions in public? mygawd, I do know that I have the most enviable and unusual talents of sphincter control, in fact am even able to monitor the audibility and volume of my fartage......but he just LETS 'EM RIP in front of lovely, bean-bearing (ha ha ha ha ha - the irony in that  !!!!!!!!!) neighboUrs?

(it has occurred to me how little gas I have now that am gluten-free - - probably less than 10 GASSERS a day and some days, good Lord, probably zero. Will start monitoring and counting, though, adn update here. ;) )

I'm coming to you all courtesy of my husband  He brought me tea in bed, along with my laptop. So, I'm languishing here in my jammies.

Patti, languishing!!!!!!! Annie and I languish in bed and have our lie-ins sleep-ins until 9 or 10 on weekends, alas, no one has brought us tea and computers.......

You lucky thing!!!!......I don't EVER get such luxuries........NEVER even seem to get a lie-in these days ......do you feel sorry for me yet?......must get on with ironing (HEINOUS) school uniforms and stuff...it's all work, work........

oh, the heinosity, the drudgery, the hideous injustice of it all............. make those boys SERVE you whilst you languish in bed and watch East Enders.........

Oh dear - left Annie alone last night for the FIRST time since tika's death (two weeks today) - I was gone for 45 minutes - got home and she had gotten into a box of gluten-free flours which hadn't been put away....so I came home to find the bag carefully extricated from the box, ripped apart w/ her little raccoon hands.....and flour spread all over the carpet in hallway......she slunk away SOOOOOO low to the ground and guiltily - I foolishly started to admonish her - - so she runs away and slithers onto the couch - never has done this before - doesn't get on couch without permission - - and then, she WEED on the couch. :(

So sad.....I had to cuddle and cuddle her........the ONLY other time she weed on anything was the day Tika died, and she wet the front seat of the car.......

my poor, neurotic, angst-ridden little weasel - what am I doing to do? I HAVE to get her a kitty.......and I don't WANT another pet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh Susie...sorry to hear about this. Maybe this is her way of dealing with chang?

My neighbor below has a german sheppard who is about 1, so still a puppy. Well, she gave birth to an adorable baby boy in October, Landen. Sometimes, Ali the dog still acts up, goes after the baby's clothes and tosses them about..etc. She is very protective of the baby and all but sometimes she is still accepting the changes....

Not sure this will help but wanted to pass it along.

Everyone here is so famous.....Tom and Susie Q in major motion pictures, Emily and her dad, Amanda and Wegmans, Janet's been on the news for gosh sakes....

Tom, Revenge of the Nerds brings back a lot of memories, of the 80s variety

This past autumn, Will was walking with DS home from the park, and as they passed by our neighboUr's house, the older man came out of the house. "Hey, guys!", he said, approaching them and holding out a bag of freshed-picked beans from his garden, "We've got too many beans comin' up for Doris and I to eat. Would you like to have these?"

Simply HEINOUS. This all must stop.....

Incidentally, he accepted the beans with a hearty thank-you, and left our old neighboUr with yet another reason to really wonder about that family near the corner...

OMG, this made me LAUGH OUT LOUD, surely I burned 500 calories or more.

I have a friend who I am told, by his wife and unbeknownst to him, has a similar issue. She spoke of a particular family outing when they were all enclosed in a car and driving a long distance, you can probably tell where this is going...it was so bad, one noxious explosion after the other, the wife and the kids had to roll down their windows and stick their heads out the windows like dogs!

OMG - did I tell you guys I got a marriage proposal last night? He was 25, besotted and more than tipsy.....gads.........last night I was attracting young'uns, so had PART of my mojo......yet, when I approached a BEAUTIFUL man at this other bar, we had a lovely conversation, but no digits were requested, so it was a failed (but entertaining) attempt and he was from Nashville - PROVING MY POINT that all the good mens are southern)........

So........vapid crowd of young, pointless men everywhere - - the only ones that hit on me were REALLY old or REALLY young...... Which means.......

Emily - um, you mean he ACTUALLY has no power in his sphincter to control these emissions in public?

This is why I am certain it is truly an intestinal illness (celiac, of course), as he has such quantity, of such HEINOSITY, and with absolutely no control over it all. He claims they just happen. I have, by the way, Susie, mentioned your astonishing, award-winning sphincter to him, and how it is possible to reach such heights of excellence. I have mentioned it to many in my circle, in fact....and I suppose a number out of it. Our mailman, my students (framed it into a challenging pronunciation drill--"Susie's super-strong sphincter" repeated quickly), the guys at the gym...

(it has occurred to me how little gas I have now that am gluten-free - - probably less than 10 GASSERS a day and some days, good Lord, probably zero. Will start monitoring and counting, though, adn update here. ;) )

I believe I have very little, as well. All right, starting tomorrow, as soon as everyone awakens, we are keeping a running count. We must report in with our number every three or four hours. This is truly what the Silly Thread is all about...I'm surprised this hasn't been done before! Okay, so it's usually Amanda and I posting first in the morning...we'll have the first entries. Now, we're all on our honoUr....no cheating or fibbing!!:lol:

Oh Susie...sorry to hear about this. Maybe this is her way of dealing with chang?

:lol::lol: OMG....Here I was , re-reading this sentence of Amanda's, racking my brain, thinking, "What have I missed?! Who is Chang?? A new East Asian neighboUr, making all sorts of noise through the night, causing Annie all sorts of stress? Did Susie mention a new Chinese boyfriend, and Annie's acting out of jealousy?!" Mygawd, hilarious.....

I had NO idea we had such famoUs peeps! Susie- Matt Mc? YUMMERS!!!!!!!

I was in a movie w/ Leif Garrett!

Terrible movie called 'Thunder Alley', not to be confused w/ Thunder Road or any other Thunder movie.

Filmed in Tucson, I was a mere extra, of course, but did get ~3sec onscreen w/ just 2 other ppl.

Leif did show at a plain ole house party one weekend tho. He was well past his prime and we didn't care.

OMG- too funny! He DID NOT AGE WELL!

The best t-shirt I ever saw (okay one of the two best ... the other was -- there are 10 types of people, those who understand binary and those who don't! ) -- I'm not a vegetarian because I love animals, I'm a vegetarian because I hate plants!

Too funny- I have a magnet from a friend that says, "Vegetarian: Indian Word for Lousy Hunter" :P

So the surprise was dinner and some time at The Colliseum, which is a bar/sports complex....with arcade games. There is bowling there.

Surprises are GOOD!!!!!!!!!

I felt that he was rather more a father figure in my mind......um, I don't think he was thinking that.

And that, my friends, is my major claim to fame.

BTW the movie was COMPLETELY lame.

OMG - Ed TV - - I had gone to a ginormous casting call in San Francisco and a few months went by.... On April Fool's day, at 11 p.m., I got a phone call from a very weary and harried casting agent, asking if I could be in SF at 8:00 a.m. the next day (I lived in Monterey - a two-hour drive), w/ five outfits for wardrobe change, to climb on scaffolding and be a paparazzo. Um, I TOTALLY thought it was an April Fool's joke and argued w/ the guy - thinking it was my friend Roger. OMG. I got his number, called my mom, who also lived in Monterey.....I was frantic - - I had things to do the next day - - blah blah blah - and she says "HONEY!!!!!! Snap out of it!!!!! It's MATTHEW. You're going. I'll take care of everything tomorrow" click.

I called the guy back - - rounded up my outfits, got two hours sleep - left at 5 and made it on time. We hung around in a basement all day, scads of people, until I coerced a small group into hanging around on set and watching everything - SO much fun.

Our scenes didn't film until about 5 p.m., and I got home at midnight.............good gawd. Long day, but quite memorable. Very little work and lots of fun for $100...... :P

<good gawd - - I think I've told this story before somewhere on this forum - *yawn* - - I am demented - - a "re-teller" of stories :ph34r: >

Welcome to the forum @Tarp! Some more information would be helpful. What is your age? What led you to investigate celiac diagnosis 11 years ago? What were your symptoms then? Do you have osteoporosis/osteopenia? What areas of the spine have been involved with your four surgeries?  As you probably know, celiac disease damages the lining of the small bowel which typically results in malabsorption of vitamins and minerals. This, in turn, can result in bone demineralization and as well as neurological disorders. Because of your spinal surgeries, it might be difficult to sort out what is causing what. Are there nutrient deficiency related neurological problems going on? Are there nerve impingement problems going on from the surgeries? Both? Having said that, it's a pretty safe bet that you would do well to invest in some high potency vitamin and mineral supplementation to address the malabsorption problem. We routinely recommend a high potency B-complex, magnesium glycinate or magnesium citrate (not magnesium oxide), D3 (5000 IU daily) and zinc. Most of these in this list are vital to neurological health. Make sure all are gluten free. Costco's Nature Made and Kirkland Signature products are a good choice and reasonably priced.

I am at a loss with spine issues. I have had 4 spine surgeries.  These were=all before my celiac diagnosis.  Currently I am dealing with chest pain arm pain and burning with increased weakness in my legs.  I have had bowel incontinence for 6 months.  I had a nuclear stress test and heart issues were ruled out.  I can not get a doctor to listen to me and diagnose me.  I am afraid I will end paralyzed. I had a question of celiac 11 years ago and then was told I did not have it.  Last month it was finally confirmed by biopsy.

My journey started over 11 years ago. I know this because I recently went to set up an account here and discovered I had set one up 11 years ago, when I first suspected celiac.  Also of note, it began in the US and continued in the UK, so I’ve experienced both countries inability to figure out what is wrong with me.   So, 11 years ago I had major stomach pain, gas, bloating, nerve pain in hands and feet (clear MRI), anxiety, depression, migraines, and this weird gnawing pain in my stomach. PCP said IBS and sent me on my merry way. After chatting with friends, and at their suggestion, I gave up gluten and dairy (actually did a complete elimination diet) with fantastic effects. After I month I reintroduced and was in agony so went back to the PCP. She thought I might be celiac so sent me for full allergy testing and a celiac test. No idea which. This was I’m 2014/2015.  It came back negative. But I’d been eating gluten for three days at that point and had not been told I needed to be eating gluten for the test.  Was told it was IBS. Kept eating gluten.   2018 - by now the gnawing pain was constant.  Figured it might be an ulcer.  Other “IBS” pain and nerve pain. Was finally referred to gastroenterologist who did an endoscopy and biopsies and found chronic gastritis and H.Pylori but no evidence of celiac.  Had a bucketload of antibiotics and the H.Pylori went away (confirmed by breath test).  Alas the pain didn’t.  Figured I didn’t have celiac but the gastritis remained despite clearing up the infection.  Gave up gluten anyway because I felt better off it.  2019 / 2020 - moved to UK, grandmother died, Covid hit. With all this stress I started eating all the gluten  like constantly  everything I missed.  Stomach hurt, but of course it did - I was eating like crap.  Not just gluten, just bad food generally    2023 demanded h.pylori test because I’m convinced if I had it before I might have it again and maybe that’s why I’m in more pain than ever. Fecal test, came back negative.  put on PPIs 2024 - went to the dr because of severe gas pains. They were so bad nothing helped and they were keeping me away at night.  All my previous symptoms are worse than ever and now had stabbing ovary pain. I thought maybe now it’s all due to perimenopause.  Dr doesn’t even examine me.  Just tells me it’s IBS and tells me we will run blood test to rule out other things, just to be safe. Well, my IgA-tTG came back positive (67 0-20 is normal). They ran an EMA test and that too was positive. I finally felt I was getting somewhere. I went to the dr and she told me to quit eating gluten. I said I wanted an endoscopy before I stop eating gluten because that’s what the medical guidelines recommend. She wasn’t too happy about it but referred me to get an endoscopy.  I had one and the took 5 samples from the duodenum (4xD2 and 1 x D1 - whatever that means). Well, results are in and my biopsy was normal.  I am just at a loss now.  I felt so happy to finally have an answer, but now am frustrated.  I know I feel better gluten free and I tend to continue that way, but to have the positive blood tests then receive a negative biopsy (I was eating fully gluten prior to this for years) has just left me feeling …. I don’t know.  Lost!   Thanks for reading this.

Thank you. I already cut out dairy and eggs because I found out I was having a problem with them. To be honest I’m just getting worn out 😂
