So, how would you guys handle this? Enter the meeting and mention NOTHING of our Plotting of Phlatus with Updates, simply wait, take in the long stares of wonder/concern/curiosity, see if it is at all mentioned or alluded to...OR, go in with guns blazing, giving them no chance to stare, tell them that it is a superb opportunity to teach several scientific/mathematical principles from real-life experience (albeit insane experience)? Hmmmmmm.....

One more option. I simply tell them that my son is a crazy little liar, and who would honestly believe that there are actually a crew of people who would do such a thing?

They may already think that . . . . . . I'm sure that experience has shown that you can't always trust what comes out of the mouths of kids.

Last year, I had lunch with my daughter one day. I was sitting with 7 kindergarteners. I'm not sure how we got on the subject but I was telling them to do a good job of brushing their teeth and that when I was little, I had 5 cavities because I didn't do a good job of brushing and that it was NOT fun to get those cavities filled. Well, we soon had kids trying to outdo each other from "I had a cavity once" to "My brother had 7 cavities". It culminated in "My mom has fake teeth!" I thought, well, she could, or she could have had veneers done or she might just have a crown or he might have made the whole thing up.

On the other hand, phart charting would be a good way to draw in those kids that are not all that interested in school 'cause it's boring. What's more phun than phart charting?

The sewer saga continues....I was in the bathroom a little while ago and I'll just say there was sphincter involvement. As this was happening, I heard a vehicle drive up. Before I flushed I thought I'd better check--and sure enough--it was the sewer guys.

I expected them yesterday, since the alarm is still going off and they were going to order a new part. I guess it came in a day late and no one called to tell me that they were coming today.

Thank God I didn't flush--they have the cap off the thingy in the yard right now--I'd be absolutely mortified. One of them had to come in to shut off the power--I'd have died!

Uh....I brought the subject up before they had time to even stare. Chortling softly, I began with something like, "SO.......I hear my son has spoken in his class about the hilarious, humoroUs-reliever-of-stress-brought-on-by-chronic-disease charting exercise I've done with my on-line friends and fellow sufferers".....(trying to illicit sympathy, here). Long silence. So, I had to continue.

Well, it's fantastic: I think they have their entire spring curriculum mapped out, in every subject. Art: gesture drawings of phlatus. Science: Phlatus Composition, Aerodynamics and Auditory Properties. Natural History: Has Man Always Passed Gas?, Developmental Stages Through the Epochs. French: The Mediterranean Diet--Flatulence Feeder?, and countless mathematics lessons involving probability, problem-solving and graphs.

So!....Got outta that one.......

If you're looking for a new and strange experience, I suggest adding some antinauseants to the mix. Last time I was in the hospital with a fever and on anti-nausea meds I became quite delirious and had to be put in wrist restraints.

This reminds me of something strange I learned a few months ago that I have been meaning to pass on. Did you know Morning Glory seeds are hallucinogenic? Our very odd mail carrier passed this info onto me when he saw our Morning Glories in our yard this summer. I kept an eye on him every day after to make sure he wasn't slinking around our flower garden.
