Oh, you must go back and read ptaum's story . . . the roommate had been sitting there in a daze, for quite some time . . . I was thinking with the lid down, but now methinks it was just the seat!!

AH HA!!!!!!! .......Good detective work Darn210 ;)

tom Contributor

OK, I'll finish catching up later, as I must interject.

1) When I found roomie sitting on the commode, it WAS w/ LID down.

I do not know of the timing of lid ascension.

2) We each have our own bathroom. ( yay! :D )

3) I believe he keeps his quite clean, perhaps not even waiting for a flood.

I'm sorry to say that you must rack up 501 posts before you can captionize your avs. You're in the right spot though, you can really pile on the posts in this thread. I recommend only quoting one person per post . . . take for example your last post, you could have easily turned that into four different posts . . . worked for me!!!

Morning, Sillies!

So Peter, when you get back, Michelle will likely be over the finish line, and in THIRD PLACE!! (fingers double-crossed, here). It's about twelve hours from the last checkpoint to Whitehorse.

Nah, it is gonna be a while yet. She left Braeburn at 9:25 Yukon time, so twelve hours puts her at the finish just past midnight our time.

 A heinous morning at the store. The delivery involves backing a heavy truck into a narrow lane beside the store, so goods can be transferred from the side door of the truck through a roll-up delivery door. We've had a new driver the last few weeks, and backing up is not his strong suit. Today he hit the building. Twice. And very nearly missed a third hit. But the second time, he was going forward and turned too tightly, and scraped the side of the truck along the corner of the building, causing damage to both. He didn't even realize he had done it until I pointed out the damage to him.:angry:

Now, must upload pictures and email to the honcho in charge of trucking for the company.

DEAR GAWD SILLIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NOW how am I supposed to get anything done, with all of YOU miscreants here, and now my David is here too??????????????????????????????????????????

See Sillies? We didn't lose a Dingy, we gained a co-squatting canine!

I notice SwD doesn't admit to being in Phrezno!

Vetiver????????

How do you KNOW these things??:blink:

Vetiver: A grass with heavy, fibrous roots, which are used to distill an oil with the scent of moist earth with woody undertones.

Oh and Susie, I've got a bag of shells I've almost tossed out. I'll leave it on the NW corner of Settle & Minnesota

OMGAWD- 2 miles down the road there is a sign that says "Help Wanted: Brazilian Waxer" I'm guessing it's not most people's dream job

Tom!! That av...I've been meaning to comment....:lol:

I couldn't figure out what was so curious about it...now I know--John looks so very placed there. Like, he intentionally has positioned himself beside said toilet, with a pillow ensconced under his head...he didn't stumble in, feel his legs give in, and crumple quietly to the tiles. Very industrious of him....

did someone say absinthe was a licorice flavor?? . . . absolutely do not like licorice.

Me neither, so I may not enjoy phaerie-tippling. However, ya never know.

After all......absinthe DOES make the heart grow fonder..... <_<

(Did I mention she was Bulgarian?

J/K!!! She had zero discernable facial hair)

Maybe I should put up a pic of me w/ Fu Manchu before I get rid of it.

I seem to have had a dramatic increase in facial hair since becoming NoSoyBoy, so I've been trying a few things. :)

OK ... .. Got pic but oops! That's camera shadow on my chin. No beard today.

Great pic, Tom!

Try a fuller moustache, and the beard idea is a good one...keep it closely cropped, and start some sideburns to join it up subtly beneath your ears. B)

(For some reason, I used to go mad for the male models we had in life drawing who had beards....would spend an hour on the beard, or more...forget the six-pack, or the fascinating intricacies of the spinal column. The beard had me.....how very odd)....<_<

Update:

They've named the budgie!

Before Christmas, a much beloved teacher (art and aikido) suddenly informed the school that he was returning to Japan. He's left, and SO missed by everyone. So, they've named the bird after him.

Katsumi.

In general if it is certified gluten-free serious steps are taken to avoid cross-contamination, but things can still happen in a shared facility, and gluten-free certification isn't a guarantee, as we've seen recently:
    • Scott Adams
As already mentioned here, and based on your description, this sounds like a serious and specific reaction to green beans. While your prior allergy tests didn't flag legumes, it's possible to develop a new allergy at any time. The symptoms you describe—extreme dizziness, racing heart, sweating, and itching—are consistent with a systemic allergic response, not just an intolerance. Given your history of celiac disease and tree nut allergies, your immune system is already predisposed to sensitivities. It is crucial to stop consuming green beans immediately and consult an allergist. They can perform more specific testing and may prescribe an epinephrine auto-injector for emergency use, as this type of reaction can be unpredictable and potentially escalate.

I was diagnosed with celiac disease in October last year and followed a strict gluten free diet since then. My dietitian told me that my diet looks absolutely perfect and I can’t think of many possible ways to get cc as I am very strict. However, when I did my check up gastroscopy a year later my healing only showed a slow improvement going from marsh 3b - 3a. Is this normal healing for a year? My main symtoms pre- diagnosis was joint/back pain, poor immune system and stomach problems (especially in the morning). Joint pain and the immune system improved almost instantly but the stomach problems still persist (but has gotten better). For reference I am a 21 year old male and both my ttg levels were normal after just 4 months and also the test for calkprotekin. My diet consists of 99% home cooked meals in a kitchen free from gluten.
    • xxnonamexx
I read that as well but I saw the Certified Gluten free symbol that is the reason I ourchased it.

I agree, it so often overlooked! I live in the UK and I have often wondered why doctors are so reluctant to at least exclude it - my thoughts are perhaps the particular tests are expensive for the NHS, so therefore saved for people with 'obvious' symptoms.  I was diagnosed in 2013 and was told immediately that my parents, sibling and children should be checked.  My parents' GP to this day has not put forward my father for testing, and my mother was never tested in her lifetime, despite the fact that they both have some interesting symptoms/family history that reflect they might have coeliac disease (Dad - extreme bloating, and his Mum clearly had autoimmune issues, albeit undiagnosed as such; Mum - osteoporosis, anxiety).  I am now my father' legal guardian and suspecting my parents may have forgotten to ask their GP for a test (which is entirely possible!) I put it to his last GP that he ought to be tested.  He looked at Dad's blood results and purely because he was not anemic said he wasn't a coeliac.  Hopefully as the awareness of Coeliac Disease spreads among the general public, people will be able to advocate for themselves.  It is hard because in the UK the NHS is very stretched, but the fallout from not being diagnosed in a timely fashion will only cost the NHS more money. Interestingly, a complete aside, I met someone recently whose son was diagnosed (I think she said he was 8).  At a recent birthday party with 8 guests, 4 boys out of the 8 had received diagnosis of Coeliac Disease, which is an astounding statistic  As far as I know, though, they had all had obvious gastric symptoms leading to their NHS diagnosis.  In my own case I had  acute onset anxiety, hypnopompic hallucinations (vivid hallucinations upon waking),  odd liver function, anxiety, headaches, ulcers and low iron but it wasn't until the gastric symptoms hit me that a GP thought to do coeliac testing, and my numbers were through the roof.  As @trents says, by the grace of God I was diagnosed, and the diet has pretty much dealt with most of those symptoms.  I have much to be grateful for. Cristiana
