Oh, I hope not......

So HEINOUS, my wisdom teef grew in, and they're crooked on the bottom now. My dad would not be happy......

Oh, gawd.....well, Sophie's dad will not be happy should this transpire....nor her mom....

I will be helping two to four kids read, grades K through 3, once a week. I am so excited.

Great stuff, Susie! :)

Does she have to wear a retainer for a while?

Yep. Alex, from your story I have decided to rivet it to her upper and lower palette.... :o:lol:

Sarah! OMG - another infection for Ez? :( So sorry. but OMG - PLEEZ call the doctor the INSTANT any kind of wretched rash or weird sore appears......my friend's niece had a near-death reaction to an antibiotic...I won't go into detail here but.....she was not expected to live, and did.

Don't worry, I will! In fact, I'm going to keep him naked as much as possible, just so if anything starts, I can catch it fast.

Awesome news on the tutoring gig!

Sarah- Just read your post- enough is enough! You guys need a break! Hope Ez is OK.

Yeah we do. :( Lately, I've been worrying that it's not going to let up, that he's going to turn into that kid from As Good As It Gets. Plus a thousand other worries like, how am I going to go back to school when my child gets sick every other week? For that matter, how's he going to do in school next year if this keeps up?

All I can do is pray that the longer he's gluten-free, the healthier he'll be. That's how it worked for Lucas.

On the upside, I was finally able to get him qualified for NC's children's insurance. This is a massive financial relief-- we are disastrously behind in bills. The medical costs have been horrible.

But now that we have this (practically free) insurance for the kids, I'm wondering if I should see if our family doc will give us a referral to an allergist for Ezra. I dunno. What do you guys think?

tom Contributor
All right, Patti! ...And a woman, too...this is a bonus in a GP, IMHO. :)

Even I agree w/ this. It's like there's more built-in compassion.

Arrrrrrrgh Sarah - strep too!? Bah!

Susie, the reading thing sounds great. I can imagine, if I tried it, goofing around w/ them too much & getting in trouble w/ the teacher.:lol:

I had to chase the janitor down the hall one day during lunch hour because I realized I threw my retainer in the garbage and he had just collected it and combined it with the garbage from a few other classes. I had to search though the yucky garbage but I did find it.

Ewwwwww!!

Good morning all. It's 3:30 in the morning and I'm starting my day out right with a big cup of coffee and an exercise video on the tv. (They do work if you play them while your on the computer, right?) I don't know why they use those 20 year old, 80 pound skinny girls to do these. I'd be much more inspired by a 40 yo slightly dumpy woman with great balance. This one is particularly bad. This girls thighs can't be much bigger than my upper arms. oh well. maybe I'll have muffins for breakfast to counteract the trauma.

Sending good thoughts for traveling and sick kids.

when I was queen I banned all sickness....Patti???

Good Morning, Sillies......

YAY!! Today Al heads to The Sunshine State!! And Mickey!!

Don't worry, I will! In fact, I'm going to keep him naked as much as possible, just so if anything starts, I can catch it fast.

I often find myself saying this about DH when people ask about our plans for the weekend....:lol:

Hope Ez is better today, Sarah!

A fantastic show. I try not to miss it, and I guffaw throughout. Ptaum, you must try to find Corner Gas in your TV lineup, or online. Funnier and more clever, even, than MNIE.

Morning Sillies Happy Friday!!!!

I got the sandals on! I painted my toe nails and yipes...shaved the legs and today I wore my spring long skirt and new top and my new huge sandals! I am sooo taller now!

Have a safe trip to Orlando, Nikki's son!!!

OMGAWD- much excitement today! Ezra's birthday suit rash watch, traveling Alan's and Emily's nekkid DH (as Homer Simpson would say, "With sexy results"  ! Oh and Amanda's new sandals- lucky girl. It's back to the high 40's and raining here. Good for hibernating bears like me who aren't quite ready.......yesterday in New York it hit 75. I wanted to rip my socks off but well, you know how clean the sidewalks are

Sarah- I sincerely hope that Ezra is OK (I love that name by the way-it's great!).

Emily- please make sure your husband doesn't get, well you know how he forgets where he is sometimes? Please remind him he is no longer a male stripper and if he's going to strut about, he does have to do it at home or......

FACE THE SPANISH INQUISITION!

And you know, no one EVER expects them :P

May Alan travel safely and have a great trip!!!!!!!!

I am alarmed by the wanton drinking of absinthe in this forum- aren't you only supposed to visit the Green Faerie occasionally?

And Jess WTH? Your day begins at 3:30 am?? I think I saw 3:30 am once in college and it was because I was still up. I think I turn into a pumpkin from midnight to 7 am. By 8 I'm a tolerable zucchini and by 9 I'm pretty much your average Bev. :P

All right....why am I the only one who has telephone line problems here? Wasn't it just yesterday that I found myself here at the public library computers, checking my emails and this forum? I think it's the fourth time this year we've had to call the wondrous cartel Bell Canada, and have them come to repair our outside phone line. GRRRRRRRRR........:angry:

Please remind him he is no longer a male stripper and if he's going to strut about, he does have to do it at home or......

Gawd, I am constantly having to remind him of this....

Had to shave legs, too 'cause of the doctor visit

Patti, please tell me that you did not include sparkles.

My DJ is winning and today is the last day for this round.

There are rounds? Like, preliminaries? He's going state by state? Watch out for Florida.... <_<

Well, there are interesting library types sitting around me, typing feverishly. No surprise...the Great Bell Canada likely has their lines dead, as well.......

This is just the Rochester Dj's, they are doing kind of like a NBA March Maddness thing, so they started with 4 regions, each region had 8 teams. Now they are down to 4 regions with 4 match-ups. If he wins he will take on this morning show from a different station. He is neck in neck with the girl DJ, been like that all week. He is still in the lead as we speak. I hope he wins. He got pretty far.

Now here is the background on him, if you google his name you will see the sad story behind why he now works at my station.

To make a summary, he worked at a station in that area for 21 years at like a Pop station, I guess you call it that. In the fall, a new company bought that station and 3 others in Rochester, he along with 3 other long time DJ's lost their jobs. So in a shuffling of people at the station I listen to, he was hired not even a month ago....this is the same company who bought his other station and fired him. So its kind of sad he had to lose his job and all his time, but now he is back and he is still very popular. Anyway if you google it, it caused quite a stir of emotions up in Roc. Which I can understand.

But, to answer Susie's question...I refrained last night ;)

good girl!

.. . . .bleh . . .. ..

:( :(

I think this is what I get for being reckless "testing" chocolate & cookies. :(

No physical symptoms, just mental.

I should probably try to slog thru something productive - maybe clearing the desk area enough to set up the pc. Ugh, that'll require decisions on where to put stuff .....

Feeling a little bit better than earlier. Hopefully edging into having a little fun w/ replies this afternoon. :)

I did a gluten challenge. I ate bread yesterday. I immediately felt horrid. Depressed, fearful, angry.  I also had the weirdest night terrors and "day terrors" (delusions). They were do awful, that I am still terrified. How do gluten impact your dreams?
    • Tazzy11
Thanks so much for replying!  No I haven't been limiting gluten prior to this test, I didn't know the Dr even tested for it until I got my results. These were the only celiac related pathology that was tested for. I am seeing my Dr on Monday so hopefully she can shed some more light!
    • Bernade
New here as well lots of things learning I’ve discovered lots of foods have sneaky gluten so be mindful how is it going?? I have issues when I do cocktails 🍸 I don’t know if it is gluten free or not but get horrible side effects and so many others ooh well we are all learning how to cope with this….
    • Sergiu2020
Thanks a lot! I will search that too. I also talked to another doctor and she assured me there is no gluten in this type of antibiotics. Anyway i started the administration of Augmentin on my girl this evening. I hope there will be no problems.
    • ElisaAllergiesgluten
Good afternoon, I don’t know if anyone here has ever tried Braswell’s products like their marmalades or jellies? Are they gluten-free? On the ingredients says “cane sugar, cherries (cherries, cane sugar), strawberries, corn syrup, pectin and citric acid. That ingredient list is from their berry preserve bottle. Most of them say the same for ingredients, but I’m not sure if it is okay to consume.
