Jess . . . Zen Stuff . . . :lol::lol: . . . I love that word . . . Bupkis :lol:

Emily . . . Absinthe . . . guess I'm gonna hafta try that sometime but is the right time whilst being in charge of 10 kids?

Suezee . . . miniKissey . . . :o . . . good luck, don't try too hard and my totally unsolicitated advice (based on when I met my hubby's 12 years younger brother) is to let him realize (in actions and not words) that you're not trying to steal his dad away from him (i.e. keep him from doing all the fun stuff that they do together).

Bev . . . thank Gawd you guys didn't kill off Sandra Bullock!!!

Aha!!! I've been racking/wracking my brain about the W, and now decided that w/ nerve-Wracking looking so correct, I shall henceforth go w/ "cranial wracking" as well.

Ok - now I feel obligated to explain this a bit . . . I met his little brother when he was about 12. He was fairly rude but I didn't take the bait. I also didn't try to get them to NOT play golf (because I don't play golf) or some of the other stuff they would do together and after awhile, he decided I was alright after all. His mom (my MIL) still gets on him about how rude he was to me when we met and that was almost 20 years ago.

Let your mind be as a floating cloud.

Let your stillness be as a wooded glen.

And sit up straight.

You'll never meet the Buddha with such rounded shoulders.

:lol::lol:

Hafta tell me kids this.....

I'll get two of these: :huh:

It's not about having fun. It's about bringing home all seven boys with two little sisters and a little brother with all of their fingers and toes and no gashes in the forehead and if you would have seen the way they were flinging shovels and hoes around, you know injury-free tree planting was the true goal.

Gad...Hope YOU got a couple o' badges fer all that....

Aha!!! I've been racking/wracking my brain about the W, and now decided that w/ nerve-Wracking looking so correct, I shall henceforth go w/ "cranial wracking" as well.

<crap. . .it doesn't look right ... ..maybe I should just stay away from that>

Fairly certain the W is there...Wrack as a noun means destruction or chaos...a logical semantic leap to the verb "I wracked my brain trying to come up with the answer....suction cups or metal cleats?" <_<

So, tomorrow is......get ready, as it's big........

My parents' FIFTY-NINTH wedding anniversary!!

Can anyone believe that?

It's also Earth Day.

Fitting, as my mom and dad have been together since the earth began.....

Patti, I know you'll make the right decision regarding the job. Just take it all one day at a time.....and breathe :) They would be SO lucky to have you and I guarantee their patients would think they hit the jackpot having someone as caring like you working there.

I love Bradford Pear Trees!!!! You'll have to post pictures!

Ridgewalker Contributor

I'm trying to catch up a little, but my mind is here and there... I am feeling better than last week though, that's for sure.

I wanted to mention before I forget though, Patti--

I agree with Laura, Bradford Pears are beautiful-- but they are a pain in the butt. I have 6, and one of them (the female?) sends out volunteers 9 months out of the year. If you plant them in the yard, the mower will get them and it's no biggie, but of course, this one is in a mulched area of my yard, and looks like weeds. <_<

Also, the branches aren't strong enough for the shape they've been bred into. Once they get big, they're the first trees to lose limbs or whole sections in a storm.

All trees have their pros and cons, just thought I'd share info.

Tell them congrats and I'll celebrate by going to SJ's Earth Day festivities, since they're just a few blocks away. (I think I'm going)

OK .. . .new Quitting Plan [Operation needs-a-name]

To the phone story. Problems continued today. I went in for 9 am and stayed all 10 hours until closing at 7. This was my "day off" you understand. And I'll have to go in again tomorrow morning, at least for a short while, also on my "day off." When you own the business, there is no such thing as a real "day off."

The technician from Bell arrived this afternoon. It was not a pretty young woman, but at least he had a good sense of humoUr. I saw him arrive in the company truck, and greeted him at the door:

"I somehow hope you're not just here to buy dog food."

"No, I'm delivering from Pizza Pizza. What did you order?"

"Pepperoni and mushrooms."

We spent a lot of time tracing the troublesome circuit inside the building and determining that the problem was outside. Emily, he went up the pole out in front! When he came back down and talked to me, the news was mixed.

The circuit in question was defective. He was able to move the connection at our end (at the top of the pole) to another pair, but the central office work crew would not be able to move their end until sometime tomorrow.

So, the usual overnight polling of data (which includes our orders for Wednesday) will not happen. I will need to go to the store in the morning to wire up a temporary connection so this can happen. This makes seven days straight that I have been in for at least part of the day. My next scheduled day off is Sunday, but we're going to flip Thursday so I can get some rest, while Jacquie works on her normal day off."

It has been a long day, and I'm off to bed. I'll catch up again sometime tomorrow.

From me mum:

This morning on the Interstate,

I looked over to my left and there was a

Woman

In a brand new Cadillac

Doing 65 mph

With her

Face up next to her

Rear view mirror

Putting on her eyeliner.

I looked away

For a couple

seconds

And when I looked back she was

Halfway over in my lane,

Still working on that makeup.

As a man,

I don't scare easily.

But she scared me so much;

I dropped My electric shaver,

Which knocked

The donut

Out of my other hand.

In all

The confusion of trying

To straighten out the car

Using my knees against

The steering wheel,

It knocked

My cell phone

Away from my ear

Which fell

Into the coffee

Between my legs,

Splashed,

And burned

Big Jim and the Twins,

Ruined the damn phone,

Soaked my trousers,

And disconnected an Important call.

Damn women drivers

Morning Sillies!!!!

It is such a sunny day today...woke up and left the house to a sad sight...turns out we had a bunnies nest where the tree in our courtyard was...and it was in the shrubs. No one knew it was there....not even us. An animal must have gotten the bunnies last night and there were bunnies without heads on our sidewalk and 2 bunnies in the shrubs....we believe those are dead. John thinks some got away since there were only 4 we saw...and he saws litters of bunnies are usually 7-9 bunnies...hopefully. They were soo tiny I thought they were mice.....

Good Morning, Guys!

This pristine weather continues. 25 C today and tomorrow. Actually, we could use some rain to wash away all the yucky stuff (read: poop) that has emerged out of the snowdrifts. But none is in the forecast. :)

Amanda! How did you sleep?

You tell everyone they should write a book :P:lol:

Ah, only those who truly should.

I should think it might....

To my dear _______Emily, with a thank you for planting the seed of narrative in my mind..... <_<

Nice av Susie - but aw dang. ..I wanted to make a salacious comment on who ripped David's shorts, but now, despite the mini-screen, I realize Squeezee's leg had me fooled.

 Phunny...I was visually mistaken in exactly the same way. Kept thinking, "Jeez...no one is mentioning the spectacular rip in Kissey's shorts....He can't have known that it was there....Bigger question - - did Susie know?"

Emily, he went up the pole out in front!

Yay, Peter! Hmph...Unfortunately for you, it was not a lovely woman to overtly glance at from the window...

Sounds like your line problem is about fixed - - this is good. But you need to take a day or two away from that store!

Well, they have tons of time together, and I will never interfere with that.....until that point in time when Mini decides that DAd is not cool?

You mean he's not there yet? Mygawd, I have been SO uncool in my kids' eyes since they were able to talk. Constant eye-rolling and red, embarrassed faces when I converse with their friends, or worse, when I am out somewhere with them.

Hi Kitty, thank you for your e mail,  I have seen a nutritionist who seemed to be happy with the food diary I had been keeping and nothing was mentioned about extra vitamins, and I’m still using milk etc . The steroids seem to be working and everything is functioning as it should however,  the course of tablets finish at the end of February and I have an appointment with the consultant early April probably followed by another endoscopy, as far as I’m aware I have not been tested for vitamin B and will definitely discuss it with the doctor on my next visit.

It might be understandable to say "friends or family weeded me or you out of their lives". Some people are fearful of getting out of their comfortable known lives and having to make changes to accommodate another.   If they are too uncomfortable to walk a mile with me, I shake the dust off my feet and journey on.  They're just not ready to learn that lesson.  But you confidently keep going on your journey.  They can catch up later.
    • Celiacandme
You might also be sensitive to other things while you are healing. Dairy, for example. It won't harm you from a celiac standpoint but is inflammatory and could be bothering you. Have you been keeping a food & symptom journal? Might be worth it for a week to see if you notice something you are eating prior to the times you feel your worst. I hope you start feeling better soon.
