Yes sillies I can be a little gutter girl (mind in the gutter) The board is acting funny tonight and I cant get mine fixed...I do hope it gets fixed soon.

OMG did I tell you about my one coworker who sits next to me? about a month ago she blurted out her salary and it was well more than the rest of us was making and the catch is she is a secretary. Anyhoo she barely does any of her assigned work, she spends most of the day on the phone or doing her bills and things for her 3 grown adult kids.....today she disappeared for almost an hour visiting a friend who works on the 6th floor, and then came back and spent the remaining hour of the afternoon on the phone giving her 25 yr old son love advice which I think is strange....a few of us have complained to my boss but she sees nothing wrong with it. To make it worse.....we are good friends with her and now that you know her salary it makes thing even more obnoxious....ugh! the drama of my office!

. . . and may I add that you did a wonderful job of staying neutral with your response!!!

Thanks! It helps that no one heard all the affronted mutterings under the breath while I typed away...

That person in the GlutenEase thread actually copped a snarky 'tude with me. :angry:

Amazingly simple home remedies

1. If you're choking on an ice cube, simply pour a cup of boiling water down your throat. Presto! The blockage will instantly remove itself.

2. Avoid cutting yourself when slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold the vegetables while you chop.

3. Avoid arguments about lifting the toilet seat with the female members of your household by using the sink instead.

4. For high blood pressure sufferers - simply cut yourself and bleed for a few minutes, thus reducing the pressure on your veins. Remember to use a timer.

5. A mouse trap placed on top of your alarm clock will prevent you from rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the snooze button.

6. If you have a bad cough, take a large dose of laxatives. Then you'll be afraid to cough.

7. You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

8. If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

That person in the GlutenEase thread actually copped a snarky 'tude with me. :angry: And it was over a post that was totally neutral. :blink:

And I suggest you go back and read the first few pages, maybe you need a refresher on bashing, because there was definitely name calling, and bashing going on. Closed minds are just that, closed. Exploring things only makes us more informed, no body is forcing anyone to take anything.

AND little missy, if you disagree with her then YOU are on of the close-minded sheep NOT taking this wonder drug.

They're in Kenya. The wife, Michelle, used to work in the lab next to mine. Extremely nice person, but not overly given to oddness. I've never met the husband, but he is NOT what I expected her to be married to. It would be like Ursa being married to a combination of persons on this forum... :huh:

Gawd--we had to run out for a little while, and I came back to drama :o Sarah, you are a brave soul with a ton of restraint :D The other night I posted to Alex that many times I'd like to comment on things but don't dare. I'd get too upset and I hate getting into arguments.

I remember one time, I got me butt reamed--but good--for somephin' I said on the subject of communion wafers.....never again <_<

You guys are too phunny with all the commentary :D

Me buttons were all back in place when I got back, too, so that's good B)

I think the print screen helped explain what others were seeing. Within 5 minutes of sending it, all was resolved.

Patti - I think we have all learned that lesson, one too many times. ;) I do remember those threads :)

I think Scaught just considers Laura computer-savy and the rest of us are not . . . we just didn't know what we were doing . . . but if it didn't work for Laura, then something must have been wrong. We call that being the teacher's board administrator's pet. :lol:

Carla . . . :lol::lol: . . . on the home remedies. But THIS one . . .

After being called "board administrator's pet," I have severe emotional scarring.

I'll now need to be seen by the board's counselor.

Patti, are you available to help?

Arrrrggghhh!!

Caught by a cross-over poster :o

Sounds like someone who is planning to change their wardrobe :P

You might want to dig around the yard just in case Weezee buried some negotiable securities, matured bonds or Krugerrands.

:wacko:

My great-grandma used to bury her money in the backyard........she didn't trust banks.

Crap-ola!!!!! :angry: I lost the other quotes!.........stay tuned..........

Lisa, can you explain to me how I can unfurl the garden hose when I pull it out to water the plants and NOT have it all tangle up, so that I don't have to walk all the way back over and UNtangle it? <_<:huh::lol:

Sounds like a problem for me hubby. If you were to ask HIM, he would tell you that the trick is not in the UNfurling, but rather the FURLING of the hose <It's a poifektly good word, so leave it alone :P >....DH is a stickler for how a hose should be wound....that also goes for extension cords, ropes,.....

OMG LIsa!!!!!!!!! :lol::lol:

I'm totally loving your self explanatory signs!!!!!!!!

....but WAIT!!..........there is someone who I can try these out on!!!

......one of the evil pheral pharkwits is deaf (remember them???, the gang of teens causing trouble in my street)

...will he understand me???....Is ASL different to BSL (that's British Sign language :rolleyes: NOT the other words that BS are associated with :lol: )

Maybe Lisa could teach me

''Kindly bog off to yer own street'' :unsure: (maybe with more profanities ? ;) )

I do believe BSL is different, but there is probably enough similarities that he would get the drift.......although I'm sure we don't have a sign for *bog off* :unsure: ........or were you wanting something a little stronger? :rolleyes: ..............I know how to call him a peabrain :P ....................not strong enough, huh?

Pythagorus' wife conTINually accused him of a porn addiction.

<_<

I wonder if he got in trouble in school for continuously drawing va-jay-jays in class..... <_<

Wow, another beautiful day shaping up here, today... :)

A heads-up: I am heading over to the home of one of our Gang of Four this afternoon, the ones with whom I loll about in hot tubs and drink champagne through the lunch hour. Today we're going to be sitting around a gorgeous pool with unbelievably landscaped grounds bursting with flowers, bonsai and vinery. So, who knows what my posts will contain afterward....... <_<:rolleyes:

Gaaaaaahhh.....Something else to niggle at my brain......for, like the words "ravel" and "unravel", I believe "furl" and "unfurl" are in fact synonyms. This happens rarely in our confounding language, an opposing prefix adding nothing to the meaning of its root word, but there you are.......not certain on this one.

Now isn't that just fascinating?? <_<

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm......Furl? :huh::lol:

      Thanks but I will check it out with my doctor, usually stress will trigger it,

      Has any doctor suggested taking a round of Dapsone?  If you have dermatitis herpetiformis, dapsone will clear it fairly quickly.  It is not a drug you would want to take forever, but when all else failed my doc had me take it as a way to determine if it was dermatitis herpetiformis.  Sure enough it worked like a miracle and itch stopped and after 2 months the rash cleared.  Then I embarked on figuring out how to eat to avoid the breakouts.  It is my understanding that once you expose to gluten, the reaction happens and antibodies are deposited in your skin.  They can blister right away or hang around for a long time and get "activated" by other things like your monthlies, pressure, stress etc.... It makes it difficult to diagnose and difficult to manage.

      I use an app called Spoonful where you can scan labels and it will tell you whether it is safe, questionable (and why) and also something you can substitute.  It also makes it easier to see what is on the label.  There are some ingredients that I avoid in addition to gluten. You can also search the app by a category.  I just searched on "cosmetics and a few things popped up as compliant.  I think the app is mainly focused on food.  When I first started out reading labels was a nightmare and it took me so much time at the store.  This app has really helped me when I am looking at something new.  They update frequently, and if something isn't in their data base there is an AI function where you can enter the information from the label and it will analyze it right away for you. I have used an app called Find Me Gluten Free in the past when I am traveling to find restaurants.  People's reviews are very helpful because even when a restaurant claims to be able to accommodate, often people will find out differently and they report it on reviews. Hope this helps.
